"My husband, son, and I recently visited San Giovanni's for the first time since before the COVID lockdown, and we were thrilled to be able to enjoy a sit-down meal experience once again. Although we have been ordering takeout meals, there is just something special about sitting around a table together. It was my 65th birthday, and this dinner was a wonderful treat. We started with garlic bread and a variety of appetizers, including tender spare ribs, meatballs, and calamari. For our main courses, I had a delicious fillet steak stroganoff with rice, my husband tried the linguine al gamberoni, and my son enjoyed his favorite, lobster ravioli. We finished off with affogato for dessert, our go-to Italian treat. We enjoyed a selection of drinks including a mojito cocktail, beer, and a lovely bottle of wine with our meals. The total bill came to a reasonable £191. One small issue was that our online reservation did not receive an acknowledgement, so we called to confirm our booking. While it was not a problem for a quiet Thursday evening, it could be disappointing on a busier night or special occasion. I would recommend calling to book in the future. Overall, it was a fantastic evening and we highly recommend San Giovanni's."

Food is excellent, having been here many times, the last 2 visits we've noticed the meal sizes have shrunk.. In particular the prawn starters and the lamb shank. Other than that the quality is still amazing!!

The penne all'arrabbiata was fantastic, with just the right amount of spice and flavor, and high-quality pepperoni. It's definitely one of the best I've ever had! The tiramisu was also delicious and fresh. It's great value for money, and I would definitely visit again!

This Italian restaurant is charming with a variety of dishes on the menu. I have frequented Gios many times over the years and the staff are always friendly and helpful. The service is also fast when it comes to food. I would definitely recommend it. They also have a great selection of hot drinks and desserts.

First visit to San Giovanni and we really liked it. Great pizza with plenty of fresh, tasty toppings. The house salad olives, tomatoes, onions, dressing etc. had lots of flavour and the tiramisu and ice cream were delicious. The customer service was excellent just the right balance between being friendly, helpful, attentive and also stepping back to give us space to enjoy our evening. Thanks and see you again soon!

I visited san giovanni for birthday dinner with two friends and my baby. I was appalled by the way I was treated after I had asked how long our main courses would be (after an hour have waited) when I suggested to the waiter that we had to wait one, he replied, "No, you didn't ', I was completely withdrawn. then he continued in an extremely defensive (and aggressive) wise. I can say categorically that this spoils the rest of the meal. I've never seen anything like that in a restaurant. about eating, my friends enjoyed their carbonnara, but my pizza was loaded with fat cheese. does not want to visit again and would not read more. more

"I've been to a couple of different Dishoom branches a few times and have never been disappointed by the breakfast options. The sausage naan roll is excellent. A couple of really tasty vegan sausages with some melted vegan cheese all wrapped up in a lovely soft naan and served with some sort of sweet chilli dipping sauce. My go to now is usually the vegan Bombay. It's a good hearty breakfast plate with... a couple of the same well seasoned vegan sausages. Some vegan tofu akuri a nicely spiced tofu scramble. Some very well cooked mushroom slices (that are maybe a wee bit under seasoned). The baked beans are really nicely spiced, elevating them far beyond the standard sweet sauce fare that's the usual. A few slices of well flavoured black pudding (that could be fried to being a bit crispier). A cooked tomato which is a bit dull, I've never been keen on tomatoes on my breakfast plate and this once has not changed my mind. It could do with some more charring and maybe some spicing. To help you mop everything up, the whole thing is served with a couple of soft bread buns that have been nicely toasted. I usually top the whole thing off with some chocolate chai with oat milk you get free refills for your chai. Unfortunately, it isn't wheelchair accessible. There are stairs up into the restaurant and various small flights of stairs to get to different parts of the restaurant. Updated from previous review on 2024 03 25"
