"The gluten-free menu at this restaurant is largely inappropriate for those with celiac disease, as many dishes may still contain gluten. I found this information poorly communicated but eventually figured it out on my own. You can filter for gluten-free options on their website and are left with only three or four main meal choices, along with a few side and dessert options. They also make fresh bread using gluten flour in their kitchen, but they assured me they adhere to good cross-contamination practices."

The Indian food here is delicious, and they have a dedicated gluten-free menu. The staff is attentive and provides excellent service.

we were able to choose so many plant-based options that we could not really decide what to have, so is always a good sign. great place.

I had an absolutely wonderful meal. The staff took great care of us, and their knowledge about the menu was impressive. Plus, I didn't experience any issues with my food. Everything was delicious! View menu

they have a separate veggie menu and I asked the staff about the cocktails and drinks, as they are not clearly marked. the vegan and ananastikka was one of the most beautiful things I have eaten in some.

without doubt, some of the best vegan foods had. the waiter was also vegan who offered his suggestions that was super helpful. they even gave us a free dessert at the end. the food we tried was new and we were not disappointed. I recommend this green!

The waitstaff were very accommodating, and they have a separate gluten-free menu. They were upfront about the fact that their kitchen does use flour, but they assured me they would do their best to avoid cross-contamination. I had no adverse reactions afterward. View menu

I had a positive experience regarding food safety, but the menu options for those with celiac disease are very limited. The offerings are labeled as "gluten intolerant," and everything cooked on the grill carries a "may contain" warning, as they also prepare bread on the grill.

The staff were very knowledgeable about allergens and highlighted dishes that did not contain gluten, as well as those that might have a risk of contamination from the factories. This allowed us to make informed choices. The food was outstanding, and the service was equally impressive. I highly recommend trying the prawns as one of your main courses and the chocolate pudding for dessert.

"Alborz is a wonderful hidden gem in Levenshulme that serves a variety of Persian and Middle-Eastern food, located on Stockport Rd you could be forgiven for thinking that Alborz is as unassuming as it's humble exterior suggests. However, what lies behind those modest doors is truly fantastic restaurant both in terms of food and service. The interior is understated and tasteful, furnished with Persian vases and ornate tea sets, the tables are close together to make the most of the limited space available but this lends a refreshing communal atmosphere to your meal. The staff were friendly and attentive and more than happy to talk you through the menu and explain the various dishes. We ordered the Mezze Platter to start, this consists of four different starters, and is ideal if you're not overly familiar with Persian cuisine, the homemade hummus was a particular highlight being both fresh and tasty. We then ordered the Alborz special grill for two, which looks as wonderful as it tastes, succulent skewers of koobideh and chicken accompanied by grilled vegetables, saffron rice and a freshly baked taltoon bread which was frankly quite ridiculous in its magnificence and is so large it came supplied with its own stand. This was a true delight to eat and I can highly recommend it. After all of that, we were overloaded with food and couldn't possibly consider having dessert and so, asked for the bill, which led to true surprise of the evening, all of this wonderfully authentic and fresh food came to a grand total of £42. This reflects tremendous value in a time where a meal for two can often prove quite expensive. Overall I would say that Alborz is definitely worth visiting if you're in the area and if you're not well then it's worth making the trip for. If you're a fan of Persian food or perhaps want to try something new then you would genuinely struggle to find such a quality dining experience at this price point."
