"We arrived at 19.30 as booked on the Saturday before Christmas. We were taken to the table, given menus and asked what we would like to drink. We chose an Australian Chardonnay from a selection of four or five whites. When the wine arrived we were asked what we would like to order to be told that there was no fish and no steak. Both of which would have been choices for my family. So the choice was burgers or pasta. We considered leaving but decided to stay. It took over an hour for the food to arrive, even though the restaurant was not busy, so we needed another bottle of wine: none left only Sauvignon Blanc. When the food did arrive in fairness it was hot and tasty, the service was from a very tired waitress who tried to be helpful. But none of us actually hate what we would have had as a first choice. So sorry to the restaurant but no recommendation from me."

"Ordered 2 salad boxes at a cost of £15! Asked for extra ham and extra cheese came with 3 small pieces of something pretending to be ham and small scoop of cheese The other was to be a tuna extra tuna and cheese salad extra cheese and salad cream (came with no cheese or tomato or salad cream) Basically a can of tuna on a bed of lettuce Took an hour to arrive and was terrible! Rang the shop to try and sort it out for 30 minutes and no one picked up Pathetic service and pathetic food I do have pics but doesn't appear to be an option to share. Won't be using again"

"Great meal attentive and friendly service, beautiful setting and fantastic wine list. I got served prosecco in an old fashioned champagne boat which I loved. We had the lobster burger menu which is a pretty good deal for £15.50 for a whole lobster. Only slight criticism is it was a touch cold and the portions of chips are very small (but probably the size we should be eating! . The desserts are incredible! Best I've had in ages, really inventive. Only thing was the whole thing was about £40 a head which is a lot. But the wine was good and we had two courses..."

"Walkabout has a particular environment when it is Tyson Fury vs Aleksander Usyk for the undisputed title. We didn't come to dance or take a meal. It was possible to find seating without a reservation, but I would say that the better experience would most likely be to have a reservation and grab a burger, but not having done that it is impossible to say for certain. Try it. Let me know. We came for the fight, but the occasional obligatory dancing hottie made a brief but awkward appearance. Not their fault. The music was on point but almost everyone was riveted on the boxing."

"I visited this morning as I have been coming for a few years the food was never on point but I wanted to give it a last chance to redeem its self. However, after ordering and waiting for 15 minutes I saw a rat running from the salad bar and into the kitchen at that moment I picked up my stuff and left immediately there was no way I was going to eat the food I ordered. I cannot believe this store is still open after what I saw today there definitely needs to be an inspection I’m going to have to report this. Definitely not worth the money I’d rather spend it somewhere more expensive if it means my food is clean and hygienic."

"This is NOT a review about quality of food. Have eaten here a few times and the standard is usually high. I don’t know if they have new owners but the menu choices now are VERY INFLEXIBLE. One of our party of three only wanted a small breakfast. IE One piece of bacon, one egg etc. All your items on the main menu are TWO of everything. Your offer of a 4 or 5 item breakfasts are nonsense as it’s two of everything. You lost sales today due to your inflexibility. Tried to add 1 slice of bacon to some egg on toast but told its £2.15. Because you only sell bacon in 2’s !! In my opinion you are excluding some diners with your menu policy. Be interesting to see if you listen and learn. Are the owners not aware in this day and age ALL trade is vital. The customer is king but You refused to sell us a small breakfast ??"

"We were looking for a great place to eat, and stumbled upon this restaurant. Let me tell you, we were blown away! The food was fantastic, the atmosphere was cozy, and the service was top-notch. "Been to the cafe today for breakfast. Checked the reviews and the website the day before that. Came in next day and were very surprised. The website is an absolute lie. The photos of the interior are totally different there, the prices on the website are 30-35% cheaper as well. Got 2 breakfasts ~9.5£ each). 2eggs/ 2p bacon/ beans/ bread/ mushrooms/ 1/2 a tomato/ 1 sausage in each breakfast. Needed extra sausage and beans for the baby and each extra is 2.25£! Paid extra 5.5£ for that. The quality of food is very average, like any other pub for ex Joiners Arms went the day before for breakfast as well) where a full English was £4.75, the portion is the same except 2sausages) and twice cheaper! Paid £30 for 2 breakfasts, 1 coffee, 1 juice and a sausage and beans for the baby. Pub will be 15£ for all the same food. Not worth the money."

"We placed our order shortly after we arrived at the restaurant. It was quite busy, but despite the crowds, the staff were very cheerful and welcoming. The food was tasty - we enjoyed the full English breakfast and the ham and cheese toastie. The weather was beautiful, so we decided to sit outside, which was lovely. The coffee was also delicious; we are coffee lovers and were pleased with the quality here. We want to give a special shoutout to Barbara, our server, who brought our daughter a coloring book and was sweet to her throughout our meal. She was a very kind lady."

"I made a huge mistake. I never review any restaurant, even if they are bad, but this restaurant is a joke. I went there and ordered a wrap for $5.99. I expected it to come with a drink or at least fries. I waited nearly 7 minutes, then she brought me the sandwich. I expected it to be hot, but guess what? It was cold chicken sandwich, full of cold salad and dry with no sauce. Terrible experience."

"Today, the service started out a bit slow, but after speaking with the manager, everything was sorted out for us. "Stopped at Helen's Teashop in Burton upon Trent for a cup of coffee and a snack when passing through the area. It is a traditional' cafe that seems to appeal in the main to a more mature senior clientele. Plenty of things to choose...from but I went for a regular latte coffee and an Eccles Cake, taken at one of their Market Square outside tables. The Eccles Cake had a very nice base, almost like toffee and it went down very well with my coffee. The Eccles Cake was also good value. In general Helen's Cafe was pleasant enough but I just felt it was a little too dated to entice me back regularly. Highly recommend the Eccles Cakes though!"

"Went as a last minute night out, wanted to dance so went here, rather than drinking we just danced. When we decided to get our first drink I went to the bar, the barmaid got the order wrong, I told her she denied it! Then the bouncer came and kicked us out for “being too drunk” we weren’t the bar maid did it because she got the order wrong and didn’t like being told she had! Absolute shambles, then the bouncer wouldn’t let us in to find the 2 girls from the rest of our party, good job none of us were on our own in the middle of Lincoln with nowhere to walk!"
