"Honestly, I don’t understand the need for such loud music. It is not a club, it is not a concert; you come to the rooftop to enjoy the view with your mates, have a good talk, and generally relax. But the loud music makes it all impossible; all you hear is auto-tuned voices screaming in your brain. When I just entered that place, I wanted to leave immediately. "my partner and I only spend a magical weekend in edinburgh, but unfortunately whigham’s was certainly not the highlight. Although it seems very promising, with beautiful decoration, a good atmosphere and welcoming and efficient employees, it really lets us eat down. "the first time I dimmed here, and I enjoyed it very much. I took my mother to lunch when we often did, but never thought to go in. we had a warm reception at the one and inwss impressed by the decor and cleanliness, much more 'chic' than their normal pub. it was a busy lunch, we were not in a hurry, so the time between starter and main was perfect. our appetizers were beautiful, grilled cocktail and pate and caramelized onion chutney. I recommend the tempoura fish and chips, tasty, non-greasy or so. beautiful chips, draughts and tartar sauce. my mother had steak and chips that they also enjoyed. our waitress was very warm and friendly. some updates pictures of a lunch in December 2021 a beautiful place, with perfect service and delicious food. the service is not included, and the machine did not allow to add, so if you want to type, they must have cash on them."

"We live within walking distance so that's always a plus point but after my last visit in July 2017, when the food and service were distinctly average, I decided I wasn't going back. However my 7 year old kids really like the place so to end the half term holidays we decided to return. I asked for one of the booths when I booked online and we got one so that was a good start. We all had a pizza's which were food though the choice on the menu has reduced significantly from a couple of years ago. Service was really good and although it still wouldn't be a personal choice of mine I'm guessing we'll be back. The food just needs to be a bit more exciting better."

"Booked for Christmas dinner with friends and family, had to do split booking due to large party, sent an email and booking note requesting placement together. We tried to call on several occasions but no answer. On the day, though the restaurant had so many empty tables, but the front desk staff still split us up saying can’t place together. There was delay right from the beginning, taking the order, serving it and the quality. You can see one of the staff not sure if he was working in the kitchen aswell, looked so tired and drained, apologised for the delay and service. The food had to be returned as it was half cooked chicken, still pink inside, salmon order was not processed at all but declined cancellation and served later with apologies. Kids portions were too big, lot of food waste. They didnot bill for the returned food but the experience was not as we expected it to be. We did see people complaining and walking out as the food was not meeting their expectation. We cancelled our waitlist for Hilton as this was confirmed, wonder how the day could have been. The hotel looked bright and welcoming but restaurant did not meet the expectations unfortunately."

"We had the most lovely evening. The food was the best we have had anywhere even better than the steakhouses in London! The cocktail menu is amazing and they were even happy to tweak the ingredients for us! Marc and Jamie were very attentive and so funny, they made our night! "the best place for a cut of steak in maidstone. they also have great deals through the week, although it is expensive, they can save a lot of money by finding a day that suits their group. as mentioned, the steaks are mouthwater and we were a few times with big groups and never had a problem. the restaurant is beautiful inside and is nowhere near as busy as it should be during the week. if you're looking for a good steak. go here."

"We booked a table for dinner before going to the Royal Lyceum Theatre next door. The staff really make you feel welcome and we were warmly greeted at the door. The service throughout our visit was excellent. We sat on the lower level, but there is an upstairs with extra seating. We ordered wine and a starter to share, which came very quickly. The platter is very good, with a wide selection of cheeses, meats, vegetables, and rocket salad. The mains were delicious! We ordered the potato gnocchi, sea bass, and pizza. We also ordered a side of broccoli, which was cooked to perfection. I would definitely eat here again. The total for three glasses of wine, the starter (which was ample for three adults), olives, a side, and three mains was a very reasonable"

"We waited quite a while for our meal to arrive, it was a Friday evening, yet the restaurant was deserted and the ambiance a little subdued. When the meals finally arrived to say I was disappointed was an understatement, it was one of those meals, pretty, but tiny, more like a starter than a main, a medium plate with an island of two small lamb chops, two very small thin carrots, a tablespoon of pureed peas and a potato oblong with a couple of drizzles of black sauce dotted about. I tried to savour every mouthful, but it still only took a few minutes to eat, tasty, yes, but left me still very hungry, at £21,50 I didn’t feel it represented value for money and yes, I could have had a starter, sides, desert and a glass of wine, I’m sure would have left me more satiated. At quite a considerable cost?"

"My partner and I walked a total of four miles to eat at La Plata Steakhouse, and it was worth the trip. We were warmly greeted on arrival by Joe, who was friendly, personable and obviously knows his steaks. The Sirloin steaks that we both had were very tasty and cooked to perfection and the accompanying sides were very good as well.The steaks were some of the best steaks we have eaten in the UK. We will definitely eat here again next time we are in the area. Thanks for looking after us so well Joe."

"Lovely Hotel but restaurant was empty which was a shame. Top Table menu was a bit limited but the main fish course that I had was very tasty. Unfortunately I can't say the same for dessert as it was mean't to be a chocolate fondant but came out as a dry chocolate cake. My friend had a starter instead of dessert which she said was really good. The 2 course offer comes with half a bottle of the house wine which again wasn't the nicest wine but it was drinkable. "I attended a work Christmas party at this restaurant. The appetizer was tasty but a bit cold, the main course was just average, and they forgot to bring the pigs in blankets until we asked for them, and then just put them in a bowl on the table. The dessert was okay, but some of the other desserts didn't look appetizing and many people didn't eat them. The service was okay. The atmosphere was nice, with carol singers adding to the fun. It got lively, but it wasn't too crowded."

"As part of our stay in Brighton for my Fiance's birthday, we came here for dinner. This restaurant was only a few minutes walk from our hotel. As it was almost 9pm on a Monday night the restaurant wasn't very busy but when we came in, a lot of people seemed to be paying their bills. It worked for us as we enjoyed the service almost being solely on us. The food came quickly once we ordered and honestly it was one of the nicest Turkish meals we have ever eaten. Everything was cooked and seasoned to perfection. The portions were very generous and so filling. We went back to our hotel with very happy and full stomachs. 10/10. We don't live in Brighton but on our next visit to the City we will be back again."

"do you want steak? be better ready for all options. specials board longer than her, incredible selection and variations available. the wine list was also extensive and adaptable to the steak they chose. starter were a nice platform to jump for the steak. steak boiled quite perfect to her wish, nothing against blood, but was on medium rare for the rib eye atmosphere is pure london vibes and revealable steaks to show the quality. aperitifs and desserts round off the evening (with a firm in understanding). very pleasant evening."

"Very busy the night we went. Sound level very high accoustics bad, maybe, so difficult to have a conversation with anyone not immediately next to you. The atmosphere was terrific with nice low lighting however we were near the bar so able to read the menu, whereas it seemed very dark in the rest of the room. The staff seemed very nice and the food came quickly. However at no time did anyone come and ask us how we were doing and if happy with the meal etc so the feeling was always efficiency without any 'personal touch'. The food was excellent. Food exceptional. As good if not better than the Michelin starred restaurant we ate at a few weeks earlier. Service quietly efficient. Would definitely recommend and will return."
