"The food was incredible and the service was excellent. I ordered the shrimp appetizer and the filet Signor Sassi, both of which were delicious. I particularly enjoyed the parmesan cheese and olives that were served before the meal instead of bread. It was a great option for someone like me who cannot eat bread or wheat products."

"Overall a good evening but for a couple of quibbles. Service was a bit odd as when we got there there was nobody to greet or serve us for at least 10 mins but it was good after that. Food is generally delicious though the steak was strangely dry even though it was definitely cooked medium as ordered (still pink in the middle) so perhaps the steaks had been frozen. Happy to go again though."

"The staff were wonderful, and the restaurant was bustling, with only one empty table available. We had a bit of trouble explaining celiac disease and initially chose a meal that we were later told would be missing two sides. However, those sides weren't actually needed, as there was plenty of food, and everything tasted fantastic. The restaurant stayed busy throughout the evening, and the menu was extensive. Overall, it was a lovely night out."

Once shown to our table we found it difficult to make a choice as there were many nice things on the menu however having made our choices were not disappointed....our starter of the shared meat/cheese platter and my scallopini was delicious. We could not fault the service, food or ambience of Origins so much so that I’ve booked a ‘girly’ birthday lunch there. What a welcome addition to Great Missenden."

"Perched canal-side in Little Venice, the restaurant has a casual but chic nautical theme with a really family-friendly vibe. During the Saturday lunch service, the restaurant was buzzing, full of families and friends happily gathering for a bite to eat. Our little group were treated to three courses of fairly classic dishes, simple in flavour and generous in size. I loved the beetroot cured salmon, was a little defeated by the enormous chicken salad, and grinned ear to ear at the arrival of my knickerbocker glory!The service was accommodating and familial, which is exactly what you expect from a good neighbourhood restaurant; I got the sense that the diners in there had been eating at The Summerhouse for some time and would continue that tradition for some time to come."

After that sat at table for 15 minutes waiting for someone to eat over. Eventually got order in, waitress didn't even ask if we wanted anything to drink. We were there 30 minutes before we actually got a drink. Not really acceptable in a quiet restaurant, that was closing in less than an hour closes early on a Monday. Food was good when it came, and different waitress by now, who was so much better. So a mixed bag. I know staff difficulties at present, but 10 minutes training in fundamentals would help. As would have someone in charge on the floor to ensure paying customers are being looked after. Poor management from what I saw. Pity, as some of the staff were great, others very poor. "I had been planning to return to this restaurant for a few years. I finally went back today and was pleased to find it empty on a bank holiday Monday for brunch. Unfortunately, the quality of the food was just average and our order was not quite correct, although we were slightly overcharged on the bill. There was no butter with the toast and no offer of condiments. The coffee was good and the staff were pleasant, but the service was only average. The prices were already high, but considering the location, they could have been acceptable with better quality food. What I found unacceptable was the 12% gratuity added to the bill. In summary, it was an overpriced, average cafe brunch in a great location. In my opinion, it could have been packed on a sunny bank holiday morning if the food had been better."

"Visiting on business trip and decided to try this restaurant out. The food was good but there was a lack of engagement from staff, we are used to excellent customer service from other local restaurants. We were offered water and accepted but believed this was complimentary due to how it was offered, we were astonished to find out we had been charged around £5. It should have been made clear that there was a charge for this. The food,albeit good, took a while to arrive with little interaction from the staff who appeared to be chatting amongst themselves. We were further shocked and surprised by the service charge on the bill. This is not so.ething we are used to or have experienced before, as I say, we are visiting on business. I have since learned that this is optional and we could have refused it but this was not made clear and we felt forced to pay it. All in all this visit left us feeling somewhat disappointed and underwhelmed. Please be more clear with what is being charged for and the options to those expected to pay!"

"My wife and I make it a point to have a meal out at least once a month. Our previous experiences at this restaurant have been very good. We started with appetizers as usual, but when I ordered a medium rare filet steak, it came out well-done. I was disappointed to hear the staff try to convince me that it was cooked to the correct temperature. I shouldn't have to explain the difference between medium rare and well-done. Eventually, they replaced my steak with a medium rare one, but only after my wife had finished her meal."

"This bistrot should be officially declared French territory. We tried two different starters, the smoked duck salad and the speck salad, both of which were spectacular. Our mains, that followed managed to live up to the starters. The steak was cooked to perfection while the venison loin was a firework of a complex combination of flavours. "Probably the most satisfying meal I've ever eaten anywhere, and I enjoy eating out. The quality was top-notch, as was the service! I'm probably classed as a slightly picky eater now, only a few things I can't stand, and willing to try things I swore I would never eat previously (hence the snail and the rabbit). A very nice main, nothing to compare it to, but it didn't feel or taste overdone and the potatoes, mushrooms and mustard sauce were a very nice accompaniment. Especially the potatoes. The duck was a bit tough on the outside, but the inside looked good (I only tried a bit of the outside as it wasn't mine) and the chips were nice. I didn't get the waiter's name so I'll ask, if he's there, when I go back. The menu made everything sound good, which is rare. I don't eat meat when out unless the welfare standards and quality are assured, which they are here, so I have free reign! I want to try everything at least once, but the baked Alaska made me gush to everyone I speak to about it and want to drag them right there specifically for it, although I also want all of the other food... Choices, choices."

"We were welcomed with delectable bread and dips, setting the tone for the meal. The Parmah ham tigelle was a standout, reminiscent of the best ham and cheese sandwich. The buffalo mozzarella salad was above average, although the addition of sardines would have enhanced the dish. The octopus and sweet potato salad was a well-executed interpretation of a common dish, while the wild mushroom and ricotta ravioli burst with mushroom flavor. The Trofie pasta with genovese pesto was simple yet well-executed. The artichoke risotto was sufficiently cooked, with a strong artichoke flavor, although the combination with Parmesan was a bit peculiar. The Gianduja palet dessert was dense and balanced in sweetness, bitterness, and nuttiness, with stellar ice cream. The service at Rivea is of Michelin quality, and the overall dining experience exceeded expectations. It was a very good, reasonably priced meal."
