"I had the yaki soba (noodles with a sweet sauce and your choice of meat or no meat) priced at £6.80 or £8.80, depending on the meat option. The portion was not very large, but it was satisfying and packed with flavor. The quality was excellent. I also enjoyed three rolls for dessert, which cost £2.80. The service was quick, and the atmosphere was pleasant. I couldn't determine the opening hours, but I noticed they offered a delivery service."

"So, what of the question of Le Comptoir serving authentic Moroccan and Lebanese cuisine Well, given the way in which the tagines were presented, including the depth of flavour achieved in all three, and given how impressive the starters were, we'd say pretty darn authentic....It was certainly some of the best tagines we've had in London, and comparable to the ones we've had at Zayane in Notting Hill which is on the Michelin Guide. Surprisingly, this restaurant is a relatively unknown one within London's Halal restaurant scene; but one that deserves far more recognition for its uncompromising flavours. In fact, one of the starters, viz. the Chicken Pastilla, could just be in the running for our end of year awards, it was that good. "Had a lovely meal here the food was excellent and can thoroughly recommend the sea bass cooked to perfection. First time we had visited and certainly won’t be the last. The owners were delightful very friendly and warm. The staff were rushed off their feet as it was a busy night but the delay in getting food was very welcome as the portion sizes were extremely generous so we had no complaints with this as were not in any hurry."

"I have just got back from an unfortunately VERY disappointing meal here today. I was recommended this place by a friend who said the food was great, and as it is so local to me we thought we would try. However, we went in and first off the only menu was a Sunday one which just offered various meats with standard roast accompaniments, no matter o chose a steak as it said it came with chips and onion rings. My first mistake. Secondly we ordered some bread and olive oil and balsamic dip. And a lamb shank. It took 53 minutes for the kitchen to send out our order and we didn’t even get the bread and olive oil to pick on. We had to ask a very rushed looking waitress how long table 59 would be, and could we at least have our bread and dip. She went in and came out another 5 minutes later with two plates one with bread and oil and another with some kind of pate on it. I said straight away we hadn’t ordered it so she took it away and then reappeared 5 minutes later carrying the same plate and saying that we had in fact paid for it so it was ours. No refund or apology was offered so I graciously said ok, we will try it. It was AWFUL, really warm pate and the bread was dry. Awful. Now onto the mains; My steak turned up with peas which I did not order. It was also bland and unseasoned and was brought dry with no sauce options or anything. I ate a few mouthfuls and ate 5 chips and I honestly couldn’t eat anymore as it was just tasteless and chewy. The lamb shank was ok, the gravy with it had no flavour at all and there was no salt or pepper offered or on the table at all . We waited another 35 mins and no one came over to check or ask us if everything was ok. In the end. We got so fed up we left. I am incredibly disappointed, I never moan or put up reviews but I actually feel seriously unhappy that a meal for two cost me £65 in a mediocre setting and was flavourless. That combined with being charged for a starter neither of us would ever order in a million years and the fact we had to clear our own table and dust ash off of it gave me an experience I’m massively unhappy about. For a restaurant with apparent 4 stars online it was mediocre at best. And that is only because the lamb shank and a few mushrooms on my plate were edible and I was hungry! I really would like to hear back from someone, and for you to morally do the right thing and have my ‘unordered’ starter refunded back to me at some point. I have no issue in returning in the future however I would like some assurance that the whole experience will be far better and that all the issues here are addressed to give me an incentive to come back again."

"I traveled all the way from New Zealand and visited Leo's Cafe on a Sunday morning, and I was incredibly impressed by this small gem of a place. The staff were extremely friendly and went out of their way to accommodate my son when he needed to use the bathroom. I would highly recommend trying their carrot cake, as it is the best I've tasted since my late grandmother's homemade version."

"The reviewer was disappointed to find that the chips, which were advertised as being homemade, actually appeared to be processed. When they asked about this, they were informed that the restaurant had run out of homemade chips."

"The Sussex is a really nice little restaurant just outside the centre of Dublin. Appeared to have a nice range of beer and a tasty menu. Portions were quite small for the price (but the shepherds pie I had was delicious). Staff friendly and very helpful."

"Fine food and Issues Decided to visit as the reviews were mainly great. Arrived to find it looked ten minutes after due to be open. They were just opening the door. I went in and quickly used the toilet, not flushed by last person that used it! It's a well laid out, well decorated restaurant. I chose the Escargots as my starter, well cooked with a very small amount of sauce sadly no tongs to hold the shell. They were 6 very nice molluscs. The main was an absolutely sensational tasty seafood salad. Interesting dressing on a generous variety of sea food and nice salad. I had ordered a lime and soda, it transpired they had no lime so someone went out to buy some and could only get lemon, which was ok. When it came to the desert I liked the idea of four of them but ordered the lemon tart. A few minutes later the lady running front of house (I later discovered it was her first day in post!! Returned hugely apologetic telling me sadly they had no lemon tart. I chose the cherry clafouti and a few minutes later the young lady came back devastated to tell me they had none of that either! I eventually had a brownie, which she didn't charge me for. Must confess it didn't excite and the supplied ice cream was quite crystallised as if it had been refrozen. The table next to me were told they had no more Escargot, so clearly they opened with only one portion available. Front of house was good, 2/3 of the food I had was great but clearly someone needs to sort out the kitchen too many problems to give customers confidence of availability. Was it worth the trip? Oh yes but they have some serious organisational issues to resolve."

"Food and service were both good and we even didn't mind being seated next to the kitchen door but what really spoilt the evening was at the end of our main course the music volume was doubled and as we were sitting next to a speaker we had to shout to each other to be heard. Twice we asked for the music to be turned down, but it didn't seem any quieter. Whatever happened to background music that meant you could still talk and hear each other rather than shouting at each other."

"Poor poor poor! Arrived for breakfast at 11am had to wait for menus fortunately asked to order drinks immediately these then took 15 minutes. Finally ordered breakfast and after waiting for half an hour politely enquired how long they thought it would be for our food to arrive ….To be told a further 25 I was slightly shocked at this and enquired why we weren’t warned the food would take up to an hour? Staff unhelpful. we won’t be returning. Spent about £65 on five breakfasts and drinks and would much rather go somewhere we would actually enjoy! A real Shame if the waitresses seemed interested in taking your order and being efficient could probably make a killing in tips and turn more tables Probably down to poor training Lovely view but would give it a miss!"

"Unfortunately the meal came out really slow we had arrived on time and we had to wait for nearly an hour. We had to get to the theatre and once the meal came we had to bolt it. As we had only 10 mins left. I could not do this so had to leave my meal. The waitress was very sweet and tried to help with a complimentary drink, but I didn’t want this. I left over 50% of my meal. They said we could come back for a free pudding but we had other plans. They gave us 10% off the meal. This was not good enough and we did not have time to object. This was our 39th wedding anniversary too! What we did eat of the food was good, but we will not be going back."

"The Foresters is a charming pub located on the main street, featuring a cozy beer garden in the front. The bar area is tastefully decorated and seamlessly transitions into the dining section. The menu offers a variety of upscale pub fare as well as classic burger and chips options. A staff member suggested trying the burger, which was delicious with devilled mushrooms and cheese. I initially planned on stopping there, but couldn't resist trying their tapas-style desserts: small portions that you can order multiple of. They were delightful, flavorful, and had a unique twist without being overwhelming. Friendly staff, delicious food - highly recommended."

"New Management. I discovered this cafe 3 years ago when a lovely brunette girl by the name Jerry and her mother Sonya had taken over management. For 3 years the cafe has worked like clockwork with amazingly cheap comfort food. The family have run this cafe with love tha reflected on the way they treated their customers. I have witnessed members of staff hugging other customers and I myself have neen given several freebies. The chef (mother) even baked her own spinach cake and allowed me to try it for free. Unfortunately, this family have left and have been replaced by a new group of people who should not be allowed to run a cafe. Even the cakes are what you would get for £10 in Costco....read more"

"Have eaten here numerous times, thought it deserved a review. Great local family run Italian restaurant just opposite Magdalene College. Friendly staff and consistently good food at reasonable prices, with a decent range of pizzas, pasta and meat/fish dishes. My favourite dishes Pizza Arrabbiata, Maiale (pork fillet) with Marsala, and Pollo Milanese with spaghetti Napoli. The sea bass is also good, though it’s a big portion! Excellent range of ice cream and a few other desserts the Tiramisu and Limoncello Crème Brûlée are both yummy, the chocolate cake is delicious but huge. It’s often very busy, booking may be advisable, especially in the evenings. I don’t give many 5 star reviews, but this place is all I want in a local Italian restaurant."

"Popped in on a spur of the moment thing. Have eaten here a couple of times before. We sat in the bar area and had a selection of starters. Fresh dressed crab with salad, starter portion of moules mariniere, and tuna carpaccio and a side of fab chips, and crusty lovely bread. With a couple of drinks, the bill came to £38 . The staff were attentive and friendly. The food was delicious. Would certainly recommend. Here in The Cotswolds we are a long way from the coast, so to have a really lovely, fresh seafood lunch was great."

"Not impressed at all. Ambience was good as expected but the food quality and noise spoiled it all. The starters were burnt (literally burnt) which you would not expect from a restaurant of this stature. The mains were luke warm at best and of ordinary preparation. Hot toddy that I ordered was far too sweet!! I complained and the manager they didn’t charge for drinks but still disappointed overall. It was not the fine dining experience that we were hoping for."

"When we arrived, the restaurant seemed to be fairly quiet, but we ended up waiting quite a while for our drinks. Once our drinks were finally served, we were pleasantly surprised with some complimentary toasted bread, olives, and balsamic vinegar with olive oil, all of which were quite delicious. I was grateful for these appetizers since our main courses took over an hour to arrive. There might have been a mix-up, as the waitress later asked whether my meze was intended as a main dish or a starter, despite us having confirmed earlier that all our selections were main courses. Nevertheless, the wait felt excessively long."

"The menu offers a variety of healthy options, including delicious salads with fresh ingredients and tasty dressings. The service was friendly and efficient, and the prices were reasonable for the quality of the food. Overall, I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a refreshing alternative to the typical Santa Fe cuisine. The vibe is great, the food is tasty, and it's a welcome change from the usual cheesy mexican fare."
