"Popped in on a spur of the moment thing. Have eaten here a couple of times before. We sat in the bar area and had a selection of starters. Fresh dressed crab with salad, starter portion of moules mariniere, and tuna carpaccio and a side of fab chips, and crusty lovely bread. With a couple of drinks, the bill came to £38 . The staff were attentive and friendly. The food was delicious. Would certainly recommend. Here in The Cotswolds we are a long way from the coast, so to have a really lovely, fresh seafood lunch was great."

Fantastic place! Food is utterly sublime, furry friends are welcome and a beautiful apartment to hire is stumbling distance next door (Hops and the Vines).

We have been 3 times when we have made a trip to the pottery and Cotswold distillery (both also excellent) and have not been dissapointed once, excellent food, beautiful surroundings and lovely staff.

Lovely pub in a beautiful village. The staff are very friendly and the food was fantastic beautifully presented at reasonable prices. The Stratford Gold was of course very drinkable my favourite beer! Will definitely return.

Love this place, the food is gorgeous and reasonably priced. Highly recommend the chicken and wild mushroom pancake or the steak and oxtail pie! Friendly staff (the lass with blue hair is especially lovely) and lovely atmosphere. Will definitely come here again if we're in the neighbourhood! View menu

Wonderful place to stay the pods are fantastic and the pub itself is great particularly the food. We stayed recently and staff were great and able to facilitate a request by me to put birthday banners up from my husband. Also we left a precious teddy behind and the staff were kind enough to post it back very promptly and send a lovely note back for my son who left his toy. Lovely place and great staff!

We booked a touring pitch at the back of the pub for our camper van, £15 including electric and water. We arrived in the dark on a Friday evening, when the pub was packed with locals, but were made welcome and the staff were attentive. Had a lovely meal in the pub, great ale too. Wichford Pottery is just round the corner, which is a super business and we got a great breakfast in their lovely Straw Kitchen. Enjoyed a visit to the local church. Hope to visit the pub more often in the future, a great find.

"Sadly not quite up to expectations. We were seated promptly on arrival and our order was taken quickly. The food that was served was of a good standard. However there were a few things throughout the meal that let the side down slightly. I ordered the bread and houmous for starter, when it arrived there was no houmous. When I questioned this I was told they didn't have any left, the waitress asked what I would like instead not a question I can answer with out being given a list of options! When we asked her to find out she came back from the kitchen saying there was no alternative, would I like some butter. Had I known all of this before ordering I would have chosen something other than bread and butter. Another member of our party who arrived after the initial group ordered a lime and soda to drink but was served what tasted like a lemonade instead, when this was questioned she was told it was the lime and soda she asked for, yet it tasted very different to the lime and soda ordered by another member of the group... When it came to dessert, it was asked if the sticky toffee pudding came with ice cream as it wasn't mentioned on the menu, we were told it did. However when the desserts arrived there was no ice cream, when we queried this we were each given a small ramekin containing one scoop of chocolate ice cream, a little bit of an odd combination with sticky toffee pudding and a shame not to have had it all on the same plate. Finally, as much as we love dogs, having them constantly run under the table around our feet wasn't ideal for a sunday lunch time. It's a shame the service and attention to detail wasn't quite up to scratch as the majority of the food could not be faulted at all and they catered well for the various dietary requirements of the group."
