"I was threatened and abused for asking to speak to the owner. They told me they didn't know his number. I was sworn at multiple times. And laughed at. This is the only Chinese takeaway I order from. I have never had an issue till this time. I'm contacting an ombudsman to deal with them. Service minus 10. Food has always been top notch until my last order. I have never been treated like this by any takeaway. Hung up on, laughed at and sworn at by multiple members of staff. I'm truly disappointed"

"4 of ate here. 2 had wings, 1 scallops and a prawn pil pil for starters. All really good. My prawn linguine main was excellent. The chicken bang bang and burger were enjoyed. I had a taste of the seafood lasagne which was superb. The Eton mess for dessert was ok. Would prefer all strawberries rather than mixed berries. We had 2 beers, 1 sparkling water and a tea. With an average tip, it was €200 for the 4 of us so it isn't cheap. Service was good."

"after 45 minutes still had not received food or drink (coke nothing fancy) whilst all tables around had received food and drink even though we ordered way before them. Had to get up and remind the waiter of our existence. We then got our drinks and 1 item of food .. they then bring us the wrong meal and claim they had a technical issue and had to retake our order after 1 hour. We order our dessert as well so they have time to get this sorted. Whilst waiting for our food still they decide to bring us 1 dessert which we send back. They then tell us our order which I placed over an hour ago is actually out of stock. I say can we just have dessert so we can leave. They come back and say the dessert is out of stock. Terrible experience. The two starters we had where nice. They had to nerve to come over and ask how our meal was whilst we ate chicken wings. Left hungry !"

"where should I start? starts with a phone call (2pm) asking if I still need my table for 2 around 7pm, not really how I booked a table of 3 and confirmed my booking confirmation 3 people. I didn't think a problem was really wrong, but...now they're aware that there are actually 3 people as a confirmation. we should be so happy, we arrive on time at 7 o'clock the host on the writing rushes to his colleague to get her place a chair on the temporary table for 2 (this table has been booked since over 2 weeks) we are placed on a table that can only be described as coffee table that does not fit to eat. the waitress comes then all I can say is that I have never met such an rude waitress, I can suspect that she finds an alternative career, since hospitable is clearly not her field. no person should ever feel at eating, we were sitting for 10 minutes they were asking us 4 times when we were ready to order, we ordered our drinks, as we felt, so rushed into order something, she then asked about our food order, we did not say quite ready for eating again, so she rolled her eyes down and just went and had a good old moan about us to her colleagues. that was that the camels returned for us. we decided to leave the manager we left, she asked us what the problem was and to be honest, she couldn't take care less."

"This is a very good Chinese restaurant in the custom house area. Their fried rice and the dishes i had are really good. I don’t remember their names but amazing food. Another good thing is from the restaurant you can see the city airport. "When you arrive outside it’s not obvious you are arriving at a restaurant, it’s such a vast building. You step inside and there is a massive staircase! There is a lift! No reception at street level so you are a little unsure as a result of that there is a restaurant there!. But we ventured upstairs to see what was there and saw a big sign for the restaurant. Saw 2 sets of double doors. Went in, lots of diners, but nobody to actually greet us. Stood there about 30 seconds before we just walked in to the room more and THEN someone made contact. Probably need to work on their meet n greet procedures. Anyway. Great table overlooking the water with far reaching views to the city. I had requested a round table which was near the window and they had it exactly as I requested. Service was good, and our waitress was smiley. Went for set menu. We had someone in our party with a moderate nut allergy. There menu clearly asks you if you have allergies and to let them know. Which we did. She advised they not eat the aromatic duck as nuts are involved in the cooking but in our food selection that was the only item. The food was great. There were 6 of us but we ordered set menu for 5 people and it was enough food with very little left over. They should really improve the entrance with some signage and have a better reception desk as you walk in to the place but that’s my only real suggestion for improvement. Food is not radically amazing but it’s good Chinese, served hot, tasted good. Nobody voiced any issue with food, we had a great laugh too, felt relaxed and service was not overly intrusive. We had 3 bottles of wine, which is sensibly priced. Total bill including wine and starter platter as part of the set menu was £40 each including service charge, which we all thought was good value. Just needs more kerb appeal and I think it would improve the place a lot. But would go again for sure."

"Our experience at Papa's Wok was very positive. We appreciated the variety of meat and vegetarian options available. The veg spring rolls we ordered were tasty and we received an extra one, which was a nice surprise. The chicken dish we tried was delicious, with the chicken tooan standing out for its flavor compared to the dragon chicken. The gobi manchurian and stirring vegetables were both well-seasoned and enjoyable. We also tried the sweet and chili and garlic rice, both of which came in a box. The chili and garlic rice was tasty but not as spicy as expected. However, the plant noodles were disappointing as they lacked flavor and were quite bland. The portion sizes of the big box were generous and we were impressed by the amount of food. Overall, we had a great dining experience at Papa's Wok and would definitely order from them again."

"THIS WAS MY FIRST TRIP TO A TGI FRIDAY RESTAURANT. I WAS SHOCKED AT THE OVERPRICED MEALS ON THEIR MENU. THE QUALITY OF THE MEALS WAS POOR, I WOULD SAY TO MAXIMISE PROFIT. MEALS NO BETTER THAN MCDONALD'S BUT COSTING MORE THAN TWICE AS MUCH. QUANTITY IS ALSO SKIMPY ESPECIALLY FRENCH FRIES. I WAS SO ANGRY AT HAVING TO PAY £106 POUNDS FOR A FAMILY OF FOUR ADULTS AND A TWO YEAR OLD BABY AND WE DIDN'T EVEN HAVE DRINKS OR DESERTS. "super! From the outside the restaurant looked cozy and picturesque. the limited seating area made it quite exclusive, with options of bar, tables and zashiki (traditional low-table seating). there was a nice atmosphere. all guests, including us, enjoy the place. the staff was very friendly and cheerful. we had ordered small dishes from the meat menu and net. they were all delicious. can also not go wrong with asahi on hahn! we thank the restaurant for such a beautiful experience. we would recommend this facility for anyone who loves Japanese food or wants to try something new!"

"We were not prepared for the flavour journey Kazoku we're taking us on. Beautiful, simply. Divine. Magical. A journey through taste that we haven't experienced before. The plum wine, the serving of the food in intervals, the clinical knowledge the staff had of the food. We would like to personally commend the chefs for allowing us to try their food. "Disgusted at the way TGI Fridays Guildford has handled my complaint and still nearly 4 weeks on has not refunded me the money owed. The whole experience the evening we visited was unacceptable. Dirty plates, long waits, inedible food that was cold and literally stuck to the plates. Oh and a chicken burger that honestly smelt like it was rotten. This was all brought out over an hour after luke warm starters that were delivered after multiple times of asking. The manager of the evening chose to stay away from our table after I explained to her that one of the kids meals had come out dirty with old stuck cheese and mayonnaise to the plate. The 2 kids meals were brought to the table 30 minutes before any other meals had been put down, with missing parts of their meals too. We repeatedly asked for the manager but she disappeared behind the bar and decided to stay their making cocktails possibly to avoid the situation. Dan had stepped in and come to sort the situation. I had been told to expect my refund within 3 to 10 days, still waiting on this to this day after multiple times chasing and even receiving calls from the store telling me it was in hand before Christmas. Disgusted at the whole thing, we have been to TGI many times before and never experienced such poor service. Safe to say will not be returning."

"Carry out. Got home and plated it. Shredded honey roast pork and fried rice, chicken teryaki. Both were grey, bland looking; a rather joyless an unappetising looking pair of dishes. Thats OK if it tastes good. It didn 't. Both dishes were bland. Like a packet rice dish thrown in with some pork or chicken. There was no notion that someone with any cooking skills had been involved. The chicken had the dreaded woody breast (look it up) an awful, fibrous chicken texture. Took both dishes back, got a refund. Not good at all, very disappointing."

"This is a great Thai restaurant in the centre of Altrincham. The owner Joy is fabulous and goes out of her way to ensure you are enjoying the food and are happy with the service. Menu is great and bonus of a two course meal upto 7.30pm early in the week for £16.95. Food quality and presentation is excellent and I thoroughly recommend. Lovely waiter who is very efficient and friendly. Please give it a try. You won’t be disappointed. Great value for great food and service."
