"Pub lunch nearby didn’t hit the mark so popped in for a light lunch. Not sure if server was over busy but welcome seemed lukewarm when only only one out of two of us ordered the lunch option as we were not particularly hungry. "I have been coming to this restaurant for many years. After a grueling workout at the gym, I was eager to try the mixed grill. It was incredibly tasty, well-seasoned, and beautifully presented. "It's unfortunate that this restaurant has potential with its tasty food, but the service is severely lacking. In the five times we've ordered, our food was delivered incorrectly each time. The first time I arranged for collection, they hadn't even checked their online orders. The second collection went smoothly, but the third time, our order was wrong again. The premises appear unhygienic, and the staff do not seem to be taking any precautions for COVID-19, such as wearing masks or gloves. Unfortunately, despite the good food, the lack of proper hygiene standards and accuracy in orders make it unlikely that we will return. Out of the eight times we've visited, we've only had a satisfactory experience once."

"The first thing you realise as you enter this place is: it's full! Then, sequentially, the following truths dawn upon you: a) all the guests are Indian b) there are singers and there is live singing c) all the staff is Asian After this, nothing else matters much. "I have never written a review before but felt really disappointed this eve. I ordered a dansak from here, which is one of my favourite indian dishes. I don't mind mediuim spiced food and every dansak I have ordered from other indian restaurants I have...never had a problem eating. However I took one mouthful and it was extremely spicy (even my husband who likes hot dishes said it was spicy for him), in fact it was even spicier than his hot chilli masala . I telephoned to check I had been given the correct dish and the person on the other end told me yes. I explained that I was unable to eat it and how I had, had this dish many times before but I wasn't offered any alternative. That said, my husband enjoyed his meal and thank goodness for the onion bhaji, naan and rice. It was just disappointing about my meal."

"The food was good, but a bit expensive for the portions. You don't have secondary dishes if you want some vegetables to order a main quantity to get something. No high chair for children. Service was okay, but definitely not great. They made a mistake with the order despite repeating twice. When the food arrived and an article was missing, they said we didn't order it. We asked ourselves again (and it came fast, what was great) but we were for both that we received, and those that we ordered and not received. Luckily we have carefully examined our invoice and received a refund for double payment."

"[edit] I have to go back, the pub itself has a lot of potential under new management! Wouldn't get water, coffee or tea with the driver. Not allowed to drink water without alcohol and said there was no room for them. I've never felt so uncomfortable in a pub, they were so terrible. It is also really expensive, this place is terrible."

"We made a reservation for Friday afternoon for Lunch and upon arrival found restaurent was closed . To our luck chef Deepak Dhami was there and he ensured that our date was saved . He opened the restaurent for us , made us comfortable , played lovely Music , Poured us some wine and took our order . He personally served us the food on table and to my surprise every single dish was amazing we tried Tandoori chicken , Tawa fry fish, Chilli chicken , Lamb roganjosh with chilli and garlic naan . "Group of 4 friends visited for a pre birthday treat. The food was overall nice enough though pricey! We did return one dish due to it being too salty and the waiter rectified this and charged us still. The portion sizes are small and the rice was absolutely miniature hardly enough for one person and priced at £3. I do wish I’d taken a picture to show you all. The drinks prices are also high. The ambience was nice. The staff weren’t particularly friendly or attentive and could be seen rushing around like headless chickens mostly. Do not a service charge is added to the bill. The parking was free if visiting the restaurant. Overall nice but there are better places to eat so won’t be returning."
