"My partner and I ordered a takeaway from the shop (set meal for 2 total price £24.95) This was clearly shown on the menu. When paying for the meal I was told “that’s £24.95” I questioned their deal of 15% off on their flier for collection and was told “sorry mate that doesn’t apply for set meals” I reiterate no where in your advertisement does it suggest this? His response was, “yeh that was for our 10th anniversary last year” I made it clear as a company you shouldn’t be advertising something you are not willing to commit too and especially a promotion. Furthermore you must retract these menus as this is false advertisement. I received a smirk.... Shame the Indian we have used for the last 5 years have turned out this way, won’t be using again"

"AVOID! Had many takeaways from this place over the years but last nights £31.00 order was beyond shocking. Let me also explain that I rang the restaurant directly before writing this review to resolve the issue and best they could do is offer a 20% off next order. I am actually shocked by the insulting man on the phone. The satay chicken had never seen a peanut in its life and actually tasted of garlic, mushroom and onion dishwater. The chicken balls were like eating little pods of exploding grease. Vile. The salt and peppee chips had never seen salt or pepper. Just a bit on onion and chilli flake. The chicken chow mein was dry and 3 tiny pieces of chicken in. Egg fried rice and prawn toast, orthough a little greasy was the only edible parts of the meal. On top of this my partner has been sick most of the night from the 5 or 6 mouthfuls of food she ate. The food was also late and delivered by taxi. Very odd. I am going to report to the food hygiene at council too as something is certainly a miss here. I went through all these concerns over the phone today and sent the photos to them. There responce was “Oh it looks like you eat 6 chicken balls and the satay etc” they couldn’t understand that 3 plates had been plated from the bags and majority of that was in the bin. AVOID!"

"I always got my Chinese meal from here for years but over the last 16 months there is constantly something missing so you have to go back down to collect it. The food is cold on delivery. This recent order had pancakes missing for a half a duck on a order of 60 pound that hardly feed 2 adults and 2 children and we are not big eaters. Portions have become extremely small. I called to collect the pancakes and they treated me as if I was making it up. Got them home and there was SIX pancakes for half a duck. I will be finding another Chinese takeaway to order from as I have given them chance after chance. Very poor indeed and not worth the money."

"I ordered just after 5pm when they opened so had high hopes of hot fresh food. Bitterly disappointed. Yak!!!! The sauces were cold and the food was barley warm and had zero flavour. No flavour!!!!! ALL the food I ordered tasted like it had been in the freezer for years and heated up as the order comes in. I just want this food out my body. I don’t even want to drive past this place as the memory of what I ate might come back. Horrible. Horrible food. "Ordered through Just Eat and they added an extra 15 minutes to the order. Phoned them 10 minutes after estimated delivery time; the woman told me that they were actually very busy today and that they were waiting on the delivery driver to return so it should only be 15 minutes. 30 minutes later it hadn 't arrived so I cancelled the order. The restaurant accused me of refusing to answer the door and accept the delivery a blatant lie. So, I walked along the road and went to Gorgie Fish Bar. The food was delicious and the service was excellent!"

"Came here for my wife's birthday this evening, we were seated upstairs and were looked after by Swizel Rodriguez, who was simply lovely to us all evening. She had decorated the table with some birthday ribbons and banners and gave it all a real personal touch, almost as if being welcomed into her own home. Elsewhere the service was very good, our food drinks came out in good time not too fast not too slow. We both had medium 12oz rib eye steak... The nicest flavoured steak I've had in a long time, I almost didn't want to put the peppercorn sauce on (but I love peppercorn sauce, so I did! . To finish we had desserts brought by the rest of the H.K team who sung happy birthday to my wife. An all round lovely evening at a place I can't fault. 10/10."

"Upon returning from vacation, the kids were craving Chinese food, so we decided to walk to this restaurant to place an order. The person in charge at the front took our order because the Chinese staff were too busy on their tablets. I was initially told it would take 40 minutes, even though there was only one small order ahead of us. They then changed it to 30 minutes, but it ended up taking 55 minutes!!! The quality of the food was so poor that most of it ended up in the trash. We spent £55 on terrible food and service, not to mention that the owner lied to me in order to keep my money. Save yourself the trouble and dine elsewhere."

"Went in here after a long journey from Australia on the way to my AirBnB close by....tried to order but was advised by the person on the counter that all my notes that I had ordered through a major Australian bank before arriving in...Scotland, “looked counterfeit” and would not be accepted, despite having used a same looking note, issued by the same national bank of Australia, earlier in the day. When I enquired about using eftpos I were advised they didn’t have any. Went across the road and bought a subway with the note with no hassle. Probably a blessing in disguise as the shop looked filthy."

"The quality and price at this Chinese restaurant are unbelievable! It's definitely worth mentioning, especially since there is another Chinese restaurant directly across the road. We decided to try Lams and we were very pleased with our choice. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. We enjoyed our meal so much that we went back a second time in just ten days, even though we rarely eat takeout. One great feature is that you can see directly into the kitchen from the ordering area, showing how clean it is back there. The restaurant is always busy, which is understandable given the great food. The takeaway restaurant across the road was empty, so we didn't even consider trying it. If you're in the mood for Chinese takeout, look no further than Lams. It's definitely worth a visit."

"I do keep coming back here because the food is good. Service, however, is abysmal. On too many occasions I’ve had food missing from my order. Yes, the food gets sent out but that’s not much good when you have to wait another 30mins for it. My most recent experience was NYE. Takeaway pre-ordered and paid for at 2pm for delivery at 7pm. I didn’t expect it to arrive dead on time but figured a pre-order should take priority. I called at 7:30pm as my order hadn’t arrived. This call turned out to be a reminder to actually prepare the food, never mind deliver it! It finally arrived at 8:30 pm. Not good enough!!"
