"We decided to try every Chinese restaurant in Gosport in search of our favorite, and we found a clear winner at this one! The food had great flavors, wasn't too salty like some others we've tried, and they offer free delivery and sometimes even free prawn crackers. Highly recommend! Their homemade spring rolls were also delicious."

"Upon returning from vacation, the kids were craving Chinese food, so we decided to walk to this restaurant to place an order. The person in charge at the front took our order because the Chinese staff were too busy on their tablets. I was initially told it would take 40 minutes, even though there was only one small order ahead of us. They then changed it to 30 minutes, but it ended up taking 55 minutes!!! The quality of the food was so poor that most of it ended up in the trash. We spent £55 on terrible food and service, not to mention that the owner lied to me in order to keep my money. Save yourself the trouble and dine elsewhere."

"Went in here after a long journey from Australia on the way to my AirBnB close by....tried to order but was advised by the person on the counter that all my notes that I had ordered through a major Australian bank before arriving in...Scotland, “looked counterfeit” and would not be accepted, despite having used a same looking note, issued by the same national bank of Australia, earlier in the day. When I enquired about using eftpos I were advised they didn’t have any. Went across the road and bought a subway with the note with no hassle. Probably a blessing in disguise as the shop looked filthy."

"We visited a fast food restaurant with a comfortable seating area, including high chairs for children (a nice touch). My family and I visited last Saturday afternoon and enjoyed a variety of Indian, Chinese, and standard fast food items such as kebabs and pizzas. Our order was freshly cooked and overall very tasty. "My partner and I were really looking forward to this meal. She mentioned that she hadn't had Chinese food in a while and wanted to satisfy her craving. "I ordered a variety of cooked dishes which included chicken skewers, ribs, special fried rice, and salmon dinner. Unfortunately, my experience was extremely disappointing. The chicken skewers were barely edible and the salmon dinner was terrible. The salmon tasted fishy and did not seem fresh. The rice was overcooked and mushy. The beef ribs were salty, hard, and appeared to have been reheated. Even the chicken skewers seemed to have been microwaved. The special fried rice lacked typical ingredients such as egg and onion, and was simply white rice with soy sauce and tough pieces of beef, chicken, and a couple of shrimp. Additionally, the teriyaki sauce on the salmon had a strange, jelly-like consistency. Overall, I would rate this meal zero stars as the food was inedible and simply awful."

"I’ve been a patron oh HKTB for 20 years, it’s incredibly rare that there is a problem with the food. The ownership recently changed over to new owners, I ordered soft belly pork which tastes nothing like the old chefs, it was overly salty and not palatable at all. The pork was soft in some areas and dried out in others. I also ordered 3 black bean dishes which arrived without the rice, I called the restaurant to inform them that our rice is missing, the guy on the phone was beyond useless and incompetent, he tried to argue that we didn’t order rice, I pointed out that the dishes ordered come with rice as indicated on their menu, he did not try to resolve the issue, I asked him to resend the rice and he wouldn’t, I asked for a refund and he said he can’t. The new owners need to learn customer service, my family usually love their black bean dishes but you couldn’t taste any black bean at all, it just tasted like soy sauce and black pepper, there was never any black pepper in this dish before. The service was so poor I informed them that in the 20 years we’ve been patrons of HKTB we will never go back and inform our friends and family about the awful experience, ultimately had to raise an incident with PayPal for a partial refund!!"

"I have to say (and I’ve been living in this village for 18 years) the Fryer has always been a terrific take away, quality is excellent. They have now included a Greek selection of meals and take away items which is lovely. I am particularly fond of the halloumi salad. It has fresh ingredients onion, tomatoes, olives and cucumber. The halloumi although tasty is only 2 pieces….and costs £5.20. A block of halloumi (which has about 7 8 slices costs around £2.50. So I realise there is cooking and prep but x2 small slices is a little bit mean? I mentioned this and the response was ‘that’s what we serve’….ho hum."

"Tried this takeaway for the first time and wish I haven't I ordered the Special Fried rice dish with a Curry sauce. When I tasted this dish, the rice was soggy with very little ingredients you normally associate with Special rice dishes. There was a lot of luncheon meat which I never tasted in a rice dish before. In all there was two Prawns in the whole dish which was the size of your thumbnail. The meat you normally get at the top of the dish was tough and not very appetising. I will say the Curry sauce was quite good, but...this was the smallest portion I have experienced when ordering a take away. Don't think I will this takeaway again."

"A small takeaway with a focus on delivery or collection and no dine in. The cooking is very good. I go for the crispy shredded pork or beef with noodles. Of course you can opt for a chilli hot dish. The salt and pepper chicken wings are worth a try. You can pop in for a takeaway but cash only is the only option. You can order by phone and have your meal delivered but again make sure you have cash to make your payment. A pity they don't accept card payments. Parking for your takeaway wait is too limited as the delivery guys are possibly using the same space so mind the traffic."

"Food was yummy, ordered with my partner for dinner, chowmein (chicken noodle) was perfect, soft tasty meat that isnt at all dry. BBQ ribs were perfect, literally fell off the bone. The curry sauce was delicious and not too spicy. Singapore noodles were nice but could have been better, there was no spice to them and they should've been dry (too much oil), only reason for missing 1 star. Service was good but delivery system is a little old, you don't really know when your foods coming. Overall great food, would order again. Bonus- Free crackers!!"
