"The appetizers were excellent, but the main courses were just average. I mentioned it was a birthday celebration when booking, but the restaurant did not have the online booking information. When we arrived, I informed the receptionist about the birthday, but they seemed unaware. "I understand that it was Mother's Day, but a reservation should not have been accepted if there was no possibility of being seated close to the scheduled time. My group of six, including two young children, had to wait by the front door for 25 minutes past our reservation time. We were then instructed to wait at the crowded bar, which was being used as a makeshift waiting area. Eventually, we gave up and left as it seemed like there was no organization or control. The staff blamed the delays on the kitchen, but it appeared that they had lost control of the situation. People were cutting in line and being escorted directly to the bar, with no consideration given to those who had been waiting. It was clear that the restaurant was not prepared for the busy Mother's Day rush."

"First of the lady that served us , Tracy I believe her name was , she was fantastic, could not ask for a better service, breakfast was good and well priced although I'm not a fan of mushrooms cooked in oil , I'm more of a butter person. The decaf coffee was top notch , I found the decor to be warm and inviting, seats were very comfortable and the atmosphere in general was good , I'd say a 9 out of 10 score and would definitely return...as long as we get a chat with Tracy again ....such a fun soul"

"Lovely place to take the kids to on a rainy, Sunday evening. The staff were friendly and polite. We were treated well and the service was prompt. The food was great. Mac n cheese, pizza, fish goujons and spaghetti for the whole family. For pudding, the OH chose coffee but was unable to get it. He got an alternative, a different server to the one who took the order, brought him his new hot drink and apologised as their machine was having maintenance. Thought that was a lovely gesture because we didn't ask and they seemed like they felt bad for not being able to serve coffee. All staff at the time of our service were pleasant so it was a relaxed family friendly atmosphere. For sure we would visit again!"

"We took our granddaughter to the movies over the weekend and decided to treat ourselves to dinner as well. This restaurant is conveniently located just 100 meters from the cinema with plenty of parking available in the evening at The Crumbles. We hadn't dined here in a few years, but decided to give it a try on a Saturday evening. We made a reservation for a table after the movie and were warmly greeted upon our return. Despite being busy, we were seated promptly and presented with the menu. Our drinks took a little while to arrive, but we were not forgotten, as the staff was attentive and friendly. Our granddaughter enjoyed her child's meal, especially the free squishy toy that came with it. Our burgers were delicious and well-prepared, served with fresh fries and high-quality burger sauce on brioche rolls. The restaurant was clean and well-furnished, with friendly staff who checked on us multiple times during our meal. The toilets were also very clean and accessible. With ample parking and easy access for disabled patrons, this restaurant is a great choice for those visiting the cinema, harbour, or nearby shops. We would definitely dine here again."

"The wait at this restaurant was incredibly long! The staff were pleasant, but clearly overwhelmed. The wait for a breakfast refill was ridiculous, and it was obvious that the chefs were struggling to keep up with the orders. Although the food was okay, the two-hour-plus wait was too much to bear. "Went on the off chance of getting a table around 5:45pm on a Saturday. We did and the waiter was very helpful. I had a groupon offer showing but he said that it takes around 6 hours to get the offer come through. My partner has the Taste app/card which gives 2-4-1 so we was allowed to use that. We had three courses each. Two soft drinks for just over £32! We had lovely service. Hot food. Quick service and lovely atmosphere with clean establishment. Well done Gloucester! Thank you so much. Highly recommended."

"Came to this restaurant on Thursday 11th July. Was a very busy and bustling establishment at the time. Considering how busy the place was and also how hot it was due to the muggy weather, the experience was very good. The staff looked after us extremely well, especially our server, James, who coped amazingly well and stayed professional and attentive at all times, especially as you could tell the place was considerably busy and many demanding tables around us. Food was brilliant and great value for money. we would always recommend this place to anyone. Many thanks."

"After booking a table well in advance, arrived at the restaurant to be told we didn’t have a booking. We were then placed at a table and a waiter, who can’t speak or understand English, took our drinks order. Having placed the drinks order, we waited in anticipation for it to arrive, when the wine and beer arrived there was one beer short. Having waited we then had to go to the front and ask for it. The waiter then got totally confused and brought more beer than was requested anyway that was sorted. We order the spicy wings that is advertised with a blue cheese dipping and of course get told there is no blue cheese dipping . The main meal seemed to go off without problems. However, we had to continually ask for the empty glasses to be removed to make place for the plates. Then we get to dessert where a restaurant doesn’t have cream to make an Irish Coffee. So all in all Frankie Benny will not see us there again"

"My partner and I went to this restaurant for the second time in two weeks. The first time we went, the service was not great and the waiter made mistakes with our orders because they didn't speak English well. However, on our second visit, we were able to use a voucher that we hadn't been able to use before. The service was better and faster this time. The food was tasty, although my partner's crab dish was still frozen in the middle and had to be sent back. When it finally came out, it was delicious. This restaurant may not be the best choice for a quiet evening out, as there were always children dining and it could get quite noisy."

"On Thursday 25th May 2023, I dined with a group of friends at a restaurant. The food was excellent and our waitress provided great service. We all enjoyed our meals and had cocktails, but unfortunately, I experienced some health issues due to the high sugar content in my drink. The Manageress, Katie, was incredibly helpful and made sure I was well taken care of before leaving. She even followed up with a phone call the next day to check on my wellbeing. Katie's exceptional customer service exceeded my expectations, and we will definitely be returning to this restaurant in the future, although I will be avoiding cocktails."

"I was disappointed with the service at this restaurant. From the start, the person who greeted us dropped all the menus on the floor. Our server, a woman with short blond hair, did not check on us during our meal as expected. I was disappointed to find that my burger did not have red onions as stated on the menu, and the server did not mention this at all. After finishing our meal, we waited a while for her to come over as she was preoccupied with folding napkins and not attentive to our table. Despite the restaurant not being busy, the staff seemed uninterested and provided the worst customer service I have ever encountered."

"I've not been to a Frankie Benny's for a long time.. Out was always a guarantee of bad service and food Times have changed went to the Longwell Green restaurant after a movie and had a great time. The place has been refitted is bright modern and clean. The staff were all excellent, helpful and friendly. The food was great without exception. A airfield shot put to the kids menu which is actually fun and appealing.. Normally we let the kids order adult food as many places just offer nugget and beans. Kudos for a varied kids menu and different portion sizes.. And vegan options! Any negative points? A couple. When we arrived there was a 20 minute wait.. But plenty of empty tables I felt as if it was a ploy to get us into the bar to order extra drinks. It worked. The only other slightly negative point was the long wait between the starter (which came within minutes) and the main course which took about 40 minutes."

"I made two phone calls after making a reservation through OpenTable, and both times they said they had no record of my booking. It was for my daughter's birthday, and even on the day of the reservation, the manager insisted we didn't have a booking before finally admitting we had one for 5pm, when my app clearly showed it was for noon. They were able to seat us eventually, but the attitude was really poor. However, our waiter was fantastic and the food was good. It's a shame about their booking system."

"I visited this restaurant for lunch today during the middle of a virus outbreak. They were constantly cleaning while I was there. It was not very crowded during lunchtime. The service was excellent and the food was delicious."
