I do think it's quite expensive for what it is but I did have a voucher for 25% off total bill that made it better value. We were placed near the door to the toilets and as such could smell a faint hint of them everytime some opened the door to use them."

"It was my Granddaughter's birthday on the 11th and 6 of us were going for dinner, 3 Adults and 3 children. Our server was Ellen and she just couldn't do enough for us and very helpful with the girls choice of menu, nothing was a bother for her with 3 very excited girls. "We tried four different restaurants to reach Suffolk foodhall, Oyster, Harvester, all too busy on a Saturday morning 10:00 and then my daughter suggested, try Frankie and Benny's. I wish we had tried Frankie and Benny's first, and they were really quiet. He went in. We ordered the food. Quickly got out. The staff is beautiful, beautiful atmosphere. I didn't know it was still open and food came out. Breakfast was delicious for £10.50 full English breakfast eggs. Sausage Toast black pudding beans mushrooms all beautiful Bacon was beautiful. There were 11 of us. The young lady who served us was really beautiful. I couldn't do enough for us. We sit and look around. Really good. Good atmosphere if you want something nice to eat and good atmosphere. good, clean experience. Try honestly and Benny is still open. Still good food well enjoyed it"

"I made a reservation for a table for 8 people at 6:15 through OpenTable, but when I arrived, they had not received my booking, which was not my error but an OpenTable mistake. We had to wait until 6:45 for the next available table, which was only designed for 6 people. After I asked about our order, we were finally served our food at 7:30. By then, my hungry and hyper 3-year-old son was running around the restaurant. The 7 burgers, buns, and onion rings we ordered were cold and tasteless, with soggy bases, but the fries were very hot. We also had to wait again for the children's desserts, which was ice cream. We had to ask for our bill and ended up leaving disappointed with a group of bored children who had been sitting at a small table for too long and given poor quality food. Spending £105 for the worst evening out in a long time is not something I would recommend or repeat."

"I called twice after booking through the open table and every time they said I had no booking. it was for my daughter's birthday and even on the day when we told the manager we had not booked and then we said we had a book for 5 o'clock. my notification from my app proved it was for lunch. they have taken care of us, but really bad attitude. the waiter was great and eating was good."

"I recently dined at Francie Bennys in Coventry and it was absolutely terrible. Let me tell you a joke – I would have been better off going to Burger King instead. I ordered a cajun chicken sandwich which came with fries and coleslaw. When the food arrived, the coleslaw was soggy and I couldn't even bring myself to eat it. The portion of fries was so small, I could count them – there were exactly 23. The chicken sandwich was also disappointing as it was served stone cold. It seemed like they had just reheated a pre-cooked chicken breast in the microwave for 20 seconds before serving it. The sandwich cost £9.95 and a coke was £2.10, making a total of £12.05 for a meal that even a dog wouldn't want to eat. I didn't want to cause a scene by complaining, but I definitely won't be returning."

"We celebrated our anniversary with a meal in Lancaster, and we were not disappointed. To be honest, we usually visit Frankie and Benny's every week for our indulgent meals since it’s our local spot. The waiter was really funny, and the manager was very pleasant. I ordered the chicken parmigiana, while my partner chose fish and chips. I was sad that I couldn't finish my meal because it was such a large portion, but we both enjoyed our dishes. For dessert, they initially brought the wrong item for my partner, but they quickly corrected it. I had the keksteig and karamellsonne, and my partner had the vanilla cheesecake with salted caramel sauce, both of which we absolutely loved. "Made a booking for 7pm as wasn’t sure how busy it would be and didn’t want to be turned away. Arrived 6.50pm and taken straight to table. 7pm drinks order taken. 7.20pm food order taken. Meal didn’t arrive until 8pm. Food was great and just what we ordered however the long wait ruined the enjoyment. It looked like a lot of take away orders were being prioritised above sit ins which is a disappointment. We had made the effort to attend in person and would have gladly spent more money here but the wait put us off. I wouldn’t rush back here and I wouldn’t recommend to family and friends as I wouldn’t want them to be disappointed. Sad to think that higher management may see a decline in footfall and close store because of this but the truth is people do wish to visit for a sit in meal but the poor service is off putting."

"Prebooked a table for people. We were crammed on a person table if that despite the restaurant being practically empty with much bigger tables. It was clear we were struggling and not once were we offered the chance to move. We had to...call someone over to take our drinks order. She didn’t come to take the order for at least minutes after saying she was coming then one drink never turned up so after about minutes of waiting we had to ask for it again. The food arrived at the same time which was good but unfortunately nobody had cleared our salad bowls so we couldn’t fit the mains on properly and some plates were practically bare. There was only a quarter of rotisserie chicken left when we ordered so we had to swap to a chicken breast which was ok but when a lot of the food is fatty and the ribs are undercooked without the bbq sauce on at all like stated on the menu that isn’t acceptable. It was very clear the staff were keeping the guests in one area of the restaurant for their convenience but it backfired when someone from the door marked ‘Private’ shouted something so loudly every guest turned and looked in shock. There was no explanation or apology. The staff just came out one by one smiling and laughing after they’d all rushed through to the back to see what was going on. Very unprofessional! It’s my first time visiting Wales and I’d had this Harvester recommended to me but I’ll never go back to it no matter how many times I visit in the future!"

"Went in for an early dinner at 11.30am, but were told they don't take orders for dinner until 12pm. We just sat at a table, had drinks and chatted for a bit so it wasn't a problem. I had macaroni cheese with bacon and my nephews ordered off the kids menu. Good selection on the kids menu, usually it's about four things, but there's had a much larger choice which was good. My Mum had the caeser salad. Food was very tasty and came in good time. The lady who served us was chatty, friendly and very smiley. Good experience all round."

"Our daughter has never in the past years been home for her birthday due to commitments in the first weeks of the school holidays and is only home for an evening in the middle ao we wanted to something special for her (albeit a couple of days early) We were picking her up from near Derby so we thought a trip on the way home to Sheffield would be a good idea. I found F&B restaurants in the area and plumped for this one. I booked for at and relaxed. Until the day before when I could not find the confirmation. So I booked again. The discovered with horror the first confirmation in my junk items. I promptly cancelled that one but then panicked that it would be construed as both being cancelled. As we had a cake I popped in before we went to pick her up. The staff were great, took the cake off me and reassured me that the booking was there. Off I went. Next panic came at when we realised we were running early. I needn't have worried. A quick call to the restaurant confirmed we could get there early. When we arrived there was only one other group sitting. This would ordinarily have worried me but after the fantastic service so far it didn't. First thoughts turned to a banner, not asked for, but so thoughtful saying birthday girl Never had that at a F&B before but wow, my daughter's face lit up. Should have said earlier that she has no clue we had planned this. Balloons galore at a corner table and we settled in. Great that we were not pressed to decide our food, bit could take our time. The waitress explained that they did not have any pineapple so Hawaiian pizza was off the menu. But she helpfully offered alternatives and we ordered. The meals came together and were hot (unlike my last F&B experience in Scunthorpe). The pizzas of us), lasagne and burger were well cooked and everyone tooked in. The obligatory is everything ok visit came but not before we had had chance to eat something and also a request for a top up of drink was met speedily (again Scunthorpe take note). Puddings again arrived promptly and together (yes this does matter) and after a nod the cake arrived. A great early evening for us s we headed home happy. Thank you to the team at F&Bs Manor Road, Derby for making one birthday girl feel extremely happy and one dad the most happy he has been with a dining experience for a long long time. Just please stock up on pineapple for next time (haha)"
