"This is the first time I've ever refused to pay for a meal! I tried one of five tiny, plastic-tasting mushrooms and the yolk of an overcooked egg. The bacon was cold, and my partner confirmed that her waffles were also cold. The waiter even mentioned that the waffles were over two hours old! I decided to speak with two staff members about my concerns, and the manager eventually offered me a generous 20% discount. After further discussion, they raised it to 50%, citing that I had eaten more than half of my meal. I must say, I found the entire conversation frustrating and unproductive (neither my partner nor I were satisfied). To sum up: AVOID this place!"

It's reasonable food, at a decent location and the service is normally good. I do think it's quite expensive unless you take advantage of some of the offers though.

I have a soft spot for Frankie's. Nice staff, nice atmosphere and good food. It's been getting more expensive and portions have been shrinking but they often have offers and it's a nice no-frills meal out

Awful experience! We waited nearly two hours for our food, and only two meals arrived, both of which were cold. We decided to leave, just like many others around us. They seem more focused on Just Eat deliveries than serving customers in-house.

We have visited the Frankie and Benny's at Monks Cross several times, and each visit has been remarkable. The attention to detail has been outstanding, and the menu along with the food is excellent. The staff is fantastic as well. We're looking forward to our next visit!

Dire tonight. Had to wait over 20 minutes for drinks order to be taken and then didn't arrive til after starters were brought and informed the waiter. Tables that were dirty when we entered were still dirty as we left. No staff member looked like they wanted to be there, however the food was delicious

We called in for lunch with our 9 month old son. We were shown to a table and it was on a booth so quite high up. We asked for a high chair. When we saw our table we said it’s a bit high to feed the baby. So we were bought 2 high chairs stacked together and were told “this will make it the same height at the table”. What on earth.......? This is so dangerous, and totally unacceptable. How can 2 stacked together be stable?? Especially since my son likes to thrash about. Not good. Safe to say we walked out and will not be back! Terrible.
