"My wife and I randomly decided to try Bufi in our neighborhood and it was a fantastic choice! We shared a pizza and the mushroom tagliatelle and both were delicious. The portions were generous and we will definitely be returning soon. They have a great selection of pasta, pizza, and appetizers."

"Il Bacio Express is a disappointment to those looking for delicious Italian food. There was a time when eating at Il Bacio was a thrilling experience, but that is no longer the case. I ordered a spaghetti bolognese and a bocconcini di pomodoro salad for £11.75, which arrived promptly. However, upon opening the container, I found the spaghetti to be dry and lacking in meat. It seemed as though only a tablespoon of sauce had been added. After tasting it, I was left wondering what had happened to the quality of their food. Unfortunately, it seems that Il Bacio has gone downhill."

"I went to few Italian places while I was in London, but this was by far the best. First of all, San Marco is staffed by people who are actually Italian, so you know that the recipes are coming straight from the source. And this was reflected in the high quality of the pasta dishes that we ordered. The prices were quite good as well. If you are staying in the area, I recommend eating at San Marco."

"Third visit, had not used restaurant recently. Nice decor and friendly staff. 3 of us had the set menu cost £22 included a coffee and two courses. I had a nice aubergine starter would have again followed by rost lamb excellent meat..,my husband had monk fish with olives and chilli garlic he said it overpowered the delicate fish which was a shame for him. 3 of our friends had food from a la carte menu I would say starters were a bit pricey but looked good."

"The true taste of Italy. I am pleasantly surprised by this quaint Italian restaurant. It is charming, cozy, and very welcoming. A big thank you to Catarina, who is a wonderful host. The chef, Arturo, is very friendly and made my dish taste just like home in Italy. This Capri family really brings the feel of the Mediterranean to the table. I requested a calabrese dish and they perfectly delivered what I asked for. Their cardamom with cream dessert is a must-try. I am so impressed with this restaurant, please thank them for me. "New Management. I discovered this cafe 3 years ago when a lovely brunette girl by the name Jerry and her mother Sonya had taken over management. For 3 years the cafe has worked like clockwork with amazingly cheap comfort food. The family have run this cafe with love tha reflected on the way they treated their customers. I have witnessed members of staff hugging other customers and I myself have neen given several freebies. The chef (mother) even baked her own spinach cake and allowed me to try it for free. Unfortunately, this family have left and have been replaced by a new group of people who should not be allowed to run a cafe. Even the cakes are what you would get for £10 in Costco....read more"

"Have eaten here numerous times, thought it deserved a review. Great local family run Italian restaurant just opposite Magdalene College. Friendly staff and consistently good food at reasonable prices, with a decent range of pizzas, pasta and meat/fish dishes. My favourite dishes Pizza Arrabbiata, Maiale (pork fillet) with Marsala, and Pollo Milanese with spaghetti Napoli. The sea bass is also good, though it’s a big portion! Excellent range of ice cream and a few other desserts the Tiramisu and Limoncello Crème Brûlée are both yummy, the chocolate cake is delicious but huge. It’s often very busy, booking may be advisable, especially in the evenings. I don’t give many 5 star reviews, but this place is all I want in a local Italian restaurant."

"I had a truly special date night at the restaurant last night. I had been fishing during the day, and I must say, it was the best fish I've ever tasted. It was topped with mussels and calamari, all elegantly presented in a delicious white wine sauce. The staff couldn't have been more accommodating; they even changed my wine when I didn't like the one I initially chose. I can't wait for my next visit!"

"I am not one to usually leave a review, however I AM IMPRESSED BEYOND EXPECTATIONS From entering the premises being greatly by friendly front of house team and manager to providing excellent customer service in dealing with all the queries and dealing with an irritable infant supporting to help settle him providing activities to keep him distracted. The service and food was to a 5* restaurant standard, with quick service and high standards if quality and freshness. Replacing cutlery between courses as you 'd expect in a 5* mainstream restaurant. The taste was simply phenomenal with all foods prepared with bursts of flavours complimenting one another delicately. Living up to the signage above the counter to SEIZE THE TASTE City centre location, with ample of parking at the rear in Pay&Display for £1.50. Pity this is not local for me I am RECOMMENDING TO EVERYONE to try and will definitely REVISIT whenever I am in Chester again."

"To me pizza is something that is very close to my heart. The amount of good memories I've had happened while having pizza with people. Often when I think of Pizza the emotions that come to mind are joy, hope, excitement , happiness. Yet last night when I sat there eating my pizza from La Stalla all I could feel was a blend of rage and sadness as well as the strong feeling that I had been deceived. I had paid 26 pounds for two vegetarian pizzas and an order of cheese garlic bread. I called up the place beforehand to inquire the amount of garlic bread pieces I would receive as well as the size of the pizza. Once I had received my takeaway and got home I opened the box and to my horror I only found two pieces of cheese garlic bread, the garlic bread looked quite sad and dry and resembled a toastie rather than a proper piece of Italian garlic bread. I then proceeded to open the pizza boxes and I had realised that I have been deceived, the pizzas that sat infront of me , they were not 12 inches. I grabbed my measuring tape and measured it as I knew this was not right . As I measuring I was hoping that I just looked at it wrong and that it was 12 inches , however my optimism was misplaced, the Pizza was in fact 8.5 inches on both pizzas. I decided to slice up the pizza and try to make the best out of a bad situation but the pizza sadly was nothing short of incredibly average. The pizza tasted the same as a frozen pizza, with a tasteless cardboard esque base, bland tomato sauce and cheese that very much felt like low quality heavily processed mozzarella. Overall , this was incredibly overpriced and truly just a miserable experience that I will not be returning to."

"Have never eaten here, but only ever heard positive feed back. Cousins birthday, I do not live in the area so rang to order some bottles of bubbles for the table. Only writing this as experience was very upsetting and I am still shocked. I spoke with a lady, explained cousin having birthday dinner (I did get name wrong that table was ordered under) so wanted to make sure was correct table. She said I was loud and shouting. I have a loud voice (nodules on voice box). But its also naturally loud as well. I do not raise my voice, it is not my style also my voice loud enough. It doesnt need raising. We finally worked out correct table, I then thought she had gone to get payment machine. But she just hung up. So I called back, another waitress answered. I explained previous call and again asked if I could pay over phone for bottles of bubbles. I was asked to wait a moment whilst she fetched the machine. Whilst I waited I had to listen to what herself and the first waitress were saying about me. Won 't lie, it was very upsetting and I 'm quite a tough cookie. Completely unnecessary and unprofessional as well as hurtful. When she came back on phone I politely told her I heard all their conversation, she went quiet and apologised then asked if still wanted the bubbles. I politely replied 'I don 't think so '. Not sure what to take away from this experience. At least cover phone or put on hold if your going to talk badly about someone who wishes to spend money whom you have never met............"

"This review is slightly old.. I had dicorved this plase close by to my house in St Johns, they had recently opened up and is a quaint family run joint.. I decided to give it a go on a monday evening for a late lunch early dinner with a friend... I was craving some good italian food.. nothing special with out burning a hole in my pocket... it deivered to the T really good service... We had a cheese pizza and a lasagne bolognese with a glass of wine each.. cost 15 quid per person which was not bad at all... the food was decent but nothing to rave about... expectations were met and we left as happy foodies"
