"This wasn 't my first time dining at 'The Pantry ' so my expectations were high after previous postive experiences with their service and food, however this is my first review of this friendly and well known Bedford Italian eatery. On arrival we were given a warm welcome by the front of house staff and were shown to our table promptly. There was certainly plenty of space between tables which in my opinion certainly made it covid friendly. The informal, warm and relaxed atmosphere certainly encourages a postive and enjoyable dining experience also. We ordered six tapas dishes off of the tapas menu which were delicious, freshly cooked and vibrant. I would certainly recommend you try the sautéed King Prawns and the Whitebait which were very moreish!! For my main course I ordered the Pasta Cozze which was spaghetti with mussels cooked in a white wine sauce with cherry tomatoes. All my mussels were prepared, and cooked beautifully. The spaghetti was perfectly al-dente which I prefer, and in my opinion is just how it should be cooked. My wife ordered the chicken cutlet with fries and salad which she enjoyed. The bread crumb coating covering the chicken wasn 't soaked in oil but delightfully golden brown and crispy. We also sampled the lobster ravioli which was cooked to perfection along with a homemade pizza which my son really enjoyed. It has been a while since we had previously dined at the pantry, but I can honestly say in my opinion the service and food has remained excellent. Thank you for an excellent lunch, and we will certainly return again soon."

"--- **Dining Experience** **Meal Type:** Lunch **Price per Person:** £10-£20 **Food Rating:** 4/5 **Service Rating:** 3/5 **Atmosphere Rating:** 5/5 I recently had lunch at this restaurant and overall, it was a pleasant experience. The food was quite good, earning a solid 4 out of 5. The flavors were excellent, and the presentation was appealing. However, the service could use some improvement, which is why I rated it a 3. While the staff were friendly, they seemed a bit overwhelmed during peak hours. The highlight of my visit was definitely the atmosphere, which was lively and inviting, earning a perfect 5. I would recommend this place for a casual lunch outing."

"Very convivial atmosphere. Food was well presented and delicious. Not sure I’d ever serve calamari with tartare sauce it really doesn’t work! That said, even without the sauce, the calamari were crisp and tasty. Our meals were generously portioned, and well served. A very pleasant young woman served us, and we would definitely go again. Parking: We dined early, so parking was available on the street opposite the restaurant. Service: Dine in"

"If ever there was an advert for getting into hospitality, it's here! Big smiles on arrival (even though we were an hour early We had a lovely chat with the owner who explained that everything was cooked from scratch and if we wanted any tweaks...to the menu, they'd be happy to oblige. The restaurant filled with customers and the smell of home-cooked food started to get my mouth watering! All our food was served and presented beautifully and not much was left on the plates! THEN ... a tambourine was placed on our table and the next thing was the owner had strapped on an accordion and away he went with us all clapping and shaking away to some authentic Italian songs. A fantastic night with friends, topped off by the food, attention and atmosphere to brighten up any dark Saturday night in January!! Highly recommended."

"**Meal Type:** Dinner **Price Range:** £60–70 per person **Food Rating:** 4/5 **Service Rating:** 5/5 **Atmosphere Rating:** 2/5 **Recommended Dishes:** Duck with Mashed Potato, Pâté, Duck Breast I enjoyed a dinner at this restaurant which was overall quite pleasant. The food was impressive, earning a solid 4 out of 5; the duck dishes were particularly noteworthy, including the Duck with Mashed Potato and the succulent Duck Breast. The pâté also stood out as a delicious appetizer. Service was exceptional and deserves a perfect score of 5, as the staff were attentive and accommodating throughout our meal. However, the atmosphere left much to be desired, rating only a 2. The ambiance felt lacking and didn't quite match the quality of the food and service. If you're considering a visit, I definitely recommend trying the duck dishes!"

"The food was fresh and delicious and, in our party of 12, everyone commented on the generous portion sizes. The mixed grill was a mountain of food and my boyfriend was even full after the salmon which is saying something! I enjoyed the vegetarian half moon pizza but the calzone part was more like a fourth than half. It was very clean and service friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was perfect for a Saturday afternoon until ridiculously loud music from the upstairs section started and we had to shout at each other over our meals to try and have conversations. We were there to celebrate and catch up, not attend a karaoke concert. Vegetarian options: There were appetising vegetarian options in most sections on the menu. Parking: Knowsley car parks are free and there are two within a 5 minute walk. Although the multistorey one on Lathom St felt like going into a disaster zone. Our waiter said we could have parked in spaces behind the restaurant but we never checked those out. Wheelchair accessibility: Toilets were upstairs."

"I 've briefly been in Rome and enjoyed an excellent 'Spaghetti Gambas ', little did I think such a fine example of Italian cuisine be defeated by a restaurant in Arbroath. At Azzuro myself, my Mother an Uncle 'Big ' Davey had an Italian feast that perhaps trumped all others before it. The place is very old school, reminiscent of the restaurant Gene Hunt and gang hung-out in 80s set 'Ashes to Ashes ' and I mean that as a compliment. No alcohol license, but a BYOB where corkage is applied with the corner shop ten yards away particularly handy for this. Food is tremendous and all made in house, my lobster ravioli was immense and the auld dear 's Spaghetti Gambas (King Prawns) was vastly superior to its Roman equivalent. Uncle Davey 's tagliatelle wi ' meatballs looked excellent too. The chef 's real talent lies in sauce, the creamy tomato one covering my ravioli was rich and tasty without overpowering the subtle flavour of the filling. Service is fantastic too, with owner Roberto being the most genial host and his waiter polite and courteous. My Uncle is somewhat of a regular since retiring to a caravan on the outskirts and Roberto treats him wonderfully, as I 'm sure all returning costumers are. His complimentary limoncello is a lovely final touch to an amazing evening. Only open Friday Saturday 4-10, booking required to avoid disappointment..."

"If you love Italian cuisine, Bella Pasta is a place you won't want to miss. Their extensive selection of pasta and sauces is sure to please every palate, and for those who prefer something other than pasta, the pizzas are a must-try. Made in the traditional Italian style, these pizzas offer a far more authentic experience than what you would find at Pizza Hut. The atmosphere is quite romantic, with dim lighting and candles on each table, though it can get quite busy, which may not be ideal for anyone looking for a quiet dining experience. Families are well accommodated, as they offer special meals for kids along with activity books to keep them entertained. My only drawback is the pricing. While you would expect pasta and pizza to be reasonably priced, it feels a bit on the expensive side. So, while the flavors are outstanding, I don’t think it provides the best value for your money."

"I have been Italy many times. There is no relevance between this foods and Italian foods. Italian foods are really simple and tasty. I dont know how they prepared foods with such a bad taste. Every dish comes with lettuce, piece of tomato and cucumber. I never seen these presentation in Italian restaurant. Our service was not good. We ordered wine, he has bad attitute when we ordered. I coulndt understand why. And lastly, before I left the restaurant I saw one of the chef licked the tong. It was horrible experience I never recommend to anyone."

"in the middle of the week around 10 clock to the breakfast grated to a completely empty restaurant. perhaps the location has to create offers to attract customers in early doors. we would not return to sit in an empty restaurant so they lost another paying customer. maybe over a small...breakfast with a coffee for £4.99 to attract customers in youngs. ikea over the street was packed in caffe, so costa coffee is so clear the offer is no longer correct and must be renewed. before we got the bill, we were forced to fill out a review on a tablet that we thought was the bill. did not like it, but again would stop me from coming, asking customers first if they wanted to leave the review before they were forced on it. has not been like a hospitable place and more like a restaurant brand that is really trying to win/hold customers. overall disappointing in the experience!"

"had visited hampden for a Scottland euro 2020 game and had booked me in clockwork, but they had messed up my booking and didn't let me in. I needed something to eat before the game, and remembered that sapori was close and I had. always wanted to go there for a meal. it was very quiet and had no problem getting a table. menu is quite compact, but they seem to sell on their meatballs, so I had to go out of the menu, and with the rustic Italian shop feel at the place and objects on the display, I could not say no to the tiramisu. everything was freshly prepared and very tasty. together with a beer, I didn't feel the price was so bad. will be back in the future."

"that was a terrible experience, I'm not a good cook, but I could cook definitiw better than this facility. it was very smoking inside because of the open kitchen and when we opened the door to leave some smoke out of the rude dame, I don't know if it was the owner or the waitress came by and it just shuts down and murmured under her breath! the food was unusable, so when she cleared the teller, I explained what was wrong when I couldn't eat it, she did it again and we couldn't really say what she said, but she was very unpleasant. I would never return there again!"

"Been coming to Bistro Romano's for almost a year now and it's safe to say it's a beautiful place to come and eat, the service is fantastic and the environment is a very comfortable place to be. The food is some of the best Italian food not just in Barnsley but Yorkshire on the whole, if you've not been before then you are missing out. Give it a go and I'm sure you won't regret your decision."

"We’ve visited La Passione several times, but this was our first experience since the management change and the new name, Amici. They accepted our La Passione gift vouchers, which was great. The food was delicious, and the pizzas were better cooked than during our previous visits to La Passione. The service was more attentive as well. The only downside was that it took quite a while for our food to arrive. Overall, a nice dine-in experience!"

"Food good when they eventually sort out the correct order. Ordered white wine, came with red not a good start. When we turned up advised no Sunday left, which we did come for, fair enough under circumstances but would not have come if we knew this prior. Starters ok and tasty, main course came not as per the menu, salmon not as mentioned, menus stated white wine and garlic sauce, turned up covered in tomato, not the best for someone who can’t stand taste of tomato. This was rectified although parent finished his by time it was received but not the point, if comes with tomato state this one on the menu. Desert nice but service, well where do we start only 3 tables with people on trying to obtain the bill so we can leave, can not get any service, please what would it be like when it is busy. Under the current circumstances it really is not good especially when they are talking right beside you, 3 staff only 1 working, very disappointing, will take a lot to come back her, sport to say"

"I've been coming here for years and buy my friends and family vouchers as gifts but so disappointed the last couple of times.Iv never been in the back of the restaurant since it was refurbished and ask if I could sit in it last night I was told a flat NO. No gestures to seating. No offer of taking coats to hang up .No accompaniment with main meal I ordered Pollo stroganoff, chicken with mushrooms in a bowl of sauce no pasta no rice.we paid extra for rice and vegetables which were drowned in oil , disgusting,The menu writing was so small we struggled to read it.we ordered house white No showing of the bottle no tasting of the wine,J'st plopped on the table. I ordered a hot chocolate which was Luke warm and tasteless usually you get a wee bit of tablet served with it but not this time.we spent over £100 and were 100% disappointed won't be back and won't recommend."
