"I took my daughter for afternoon tea at Woburn Place on a Saturday afternoon and the first surprise was that the restaurant was completely empty. Sadly it made what should be either an elegant or cosy occasion a little soulless. The afternoon tea itself was ok except that for the two of us there were three “finger” sandwiches with three different fillings (9 “fingers” in all). The fillings were fairly standard but all the bread was white and didn’t seem to be particularly good quality. The cakes were rather nice and unusual with small triangles of cheesecake. The scones were lovely and crumbly. Good choice of coffees and teas. The staff were very friendly and efficient. I think if they had seated us in the lounge bar area, which we saw other people directed to, it would have been a nicer experience."

"The restaurant offers delicious food at affordable prices with friendly staff providing excellent service. The added entertainment enhances the overall dining experience. Overall rating: Food: 5/5, Service: 5/5, Atmosphere: 5/5. Dining in for dinner costs approximately £50–60 per person."

"Used to visit around once every 6 months or so prepandemic. Finally visited tonight again. The decor is a little dated, but this adds to the charm. Service had a few mistakes but nothing that a polite request could not rectify. The room is a little cold but the wait staff run around very busy, which may be why they may not see how cool it is for diners. The staff were all polite and friendly. The food is exceptional. It isn’t a pretentious restaurant and the food absolutely does the speaking. Good quality. Good menu with classic choices and specials. To start garlic bread to share and this was really tasty and good quality. The lasagna both veggie and classic are amazing. Well seasoned chips which are worth a visit on their own. A lovely evening and I had to check the receipt because the value for money is not comparable with anywhere else! 10/10!"

"had visited hampden for a Scottland euro 2020 game and had booked me in clockwork, but they had messed up my booking and didn't let me in. I needed something to eat before the game, and remembered that sapori was close and I had. always wanted to go there for a meal. it was very quiet and had no problem getting a table. menu is quite compact, but they seem to sell on their meatballs, so I had to go out of the menu, and with the rustic Italian shop feel at the place and objects on the display, I could not say no to the tiramisu. everything was freshly prepared and very tasty. together with a beer, I didn't feel the price was so bad. will be back in the future."

"Great little restaurant , excellent food and service , we started coming here about seven months ago and now try to come at least once a month . There is a great choice of seafood and we are working our way through the menu to try all the different fish dishes . Highly recommend , but booking advisable as it is a small cosy restaurant and every sitting is usually full . Griff and Christine"

"Didnt start great We had booked 3 days before but when we arrived they hadn 't got us down, and blamed 'having a wedding ' as the reason they hadn 't written it. They did (literally) squeeze us in though. Fantastic food a seafood platter and antipasto sharer went down very well... All a bit crammed in like sardines though, to the point where the guy behind kept bashing into me! Also wasn 't keen to see people seating their dogs next to them on the outside seats paws on the table! The toilet signage made me laugh.... I was 'swettie ' but that was the heat of the day (see picture)"

"Disappointing. My son raved about this place as he is a regular patron, so we decided to take the family along for his birthday. Nice ambience, but quite cramped table. Ordered food and drinks. Drinks took ages to arrive and then only half of them, had to wait another ten minutes for the others. Starters arrived and two of them were wrong, so they had to go back and we had to wait for the two correct dishes to be cooked and delivered. Then we had to wait a further 50 minutes for the main course to arrive. We was told on numerous occasions that the mains were just being plated up but that took over 15 minutes, and even then my Calzone didn 't arrive for a further five minutes after all the other mains. Kudos to the staff/managers I could see them going mental in the kitchen about it, but when my Calzone did arrive it was incredibly doughy and undercooked, I ate about 2/3rds of it as I was hungry, but left the rest, mentioned it to the, what I assume was the manager, she took it away and I could see the kitchen staff performing an autopsy on it, but they didn 't come out and give me a verdict. Still was charged full price for it. Will not be returning. Lots of better Italian restaurants in the area, even some of the chain restaurants are better than this.. Felt sorry for my son and he kept apologising to me and saying it 's not usually like this , so didn 't make a fuss as it was his birthday why should he apologise for a bad restaurant experience? Doubt the restaurant will reply to this review as they tried to distance themselves/ignore the issues that were very apparent."

"Great place for some Italian Cuisine! Food: Quality of the food was great. The garlic bread and pizza toppings were certainly nice. The base of the pizza's are good however not my favourite (they are in the middle between a deep pan and thin crust style). Service: The service was a little longer than expected after ordering our meals. We did have a group of 9 which may have added to the wait time. Could be improved. Atmosphere: Great atmosphere with authentic style decor and ambient music in the background. The restaurant is located on the main road, so parking can be tricky. There is the Romiley station car park or side street parking available."
"We visited Va Bene for the first time last weekend and will definitely go again. We were made to feel welcome on arrival and shown to our table straight away. The staff were friendly and knowledgable about the menu and our food and drinks order were taken quickly. We had garlic bread to start which was honestly the best we’ve ever tasted. Food arrived quickly and was fresh, hot and tasted amazing. My husband had the seafood risotto which was loaded with fish compared to a few measly prawns that you get in most places. We were served by Emily who was smiley, efficient and clearly enjoys working there. Lovely atmosphere, fantastic place! Highly recommend."

"We visited this restaurant last night and were thoroughly impressed. Initially, our table reservation was for later than we would have liked, but they called us as soon as a table was available so we could come earlier - a nice touch. The staff were welcoming and it was clear that they enjoyed their work. The girl who took our drink order was very pleasant (sorry, we didn't catch her name). Our waitress for the evening, Evie, was an absolute asset to the restaurant - polite, friendly, and attentive, as were all the staff. The food was excellent - the garlic mushrooms were the best I've ever had, and my partner enjoyed meatballs in a delicious tomato sauce. I opted for the sea bass, which was absolutely gorgeous and served with perfectly cooked roast vegetables. My partner had the spaghetti bolognese, which was also cooked to perfection and very tasty. We had garlic pizza as a side and were too full for dessert! The restaurant was full when we arrived, but the atmosphere was not too noisy. The table spacing was ideal, so we didn't feel cramped. The open cooking area allowed us to see the chefs at work. We will definitely be back soon - we highly recommend this place."

"This was our first visit and after looking at the positive reviews we thought we would give it a try. We had an early evening reservation which gave access to the 'happy hour ' menu pricing mains at £8.95 which supplements on certain choices. We had three different choices of Lasagne, Chicken Diane and Sea Bass followed by sticky toffee pudding. All the food was excellent, nicely presented with good portion size. The restaurant was very busy and while we were seated immediately, it was clear some larger parties were having to wait for tables to be cleared. Decoration inside the restaurant is contemporary and classy but the absence of any softer fabrics meant the restaurant was quite noisy. The restaurant also appeared to be geared towards larger parties and the configuration of tables meant that you may be seated quite close to other diners. Overall though, the experience was good, service polite and efficient with ample car parking on site."

"I love this place every year we spend the weekend in perth and always go to dinner. eating tastes wonderful is beautifully presented. there is a beautiful ambiente, authentic, without trying too hard, as some of these trendy places that just do about it. the employees are some of the nicest people they could come, they always seem so happy and are extremely efficient. the place runs like clockwork, service is first-class team, the owner must be proud of all staff. it is obviously a very popular place, as it is always full when we go. I would recommend that the calzone and the profiterole die for."

"Got treated to a lovely meal last night at this restaurant. Staff were great and food was excellent. My daughter and I went for the pizzas whilst everyone else went for the pasta after we all shared the scicilan garlic bread. Pudding was to follow whilst I sampled the grappa!!!!!!!!!!!!! A wonderful evening out and will certainly be coming back. Pizza Pescatore was awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

"We cannot recommend Casa Mia highly enough. If you're seeking genuine Italian/Neapolitan cuisine, this is the place to experience its true and authentic flavors. The owners and staff are consistently amazing and attentive, creating an inviting atmosphere that is always vibrant. We've been regular patrons since they opened and have never been disappointed. Gennaro, the chef and owner, is passionate about food; his dedication is evident in every dish, presentation, and detail."

"Wish we could actually say what the food was like but despite no one else waiting at the door for a table, the woman ignored us completely and kept writing away. We then went outside and tried phoning... Phone kept being disconnected after a few rings. Appreciate it was a busy night in Oban and that although restaurant had literally opened for evening service it might have been fully booked although all the tables were empty downstairs apart from 2. That's fine but with that level of customer service..eh our money can go elsewhere."

"I came here this afternoon with my dad and stepmum for a catch up and we had such a lovely experience. Our server (I think Connie? was absolutely fantastic!Very enthusiastic and attentive but not too overbearing. I work in the management team in a restaurant so understand the importance of good service and that is definitely what we received. The food was great. All of us ordered from the three course set menu and every bowl/plate was left empty by the end. I had the meatballs which was a very good size considering it’s a starter. This was followed by the carbonara which was delicious and the added chicken made it even better. The cookie dough dessert also went down a treat. Overall, it was a great experience and the restaurant itself looked very welcoming and cozy."

"I visited this restaurant for a casual dinner with friends and found it to be a cozy and charming spot. The prices are quite reasonable, and the service was excellent. I ordered the fillet steak, asking for it to be cooked almost blue, and it arrived cooked to perfection. The peppercorn sauce was less creamy than I anticipated, leaning more towards a peppery flavor, which might be what it’s meant to be, but I personally prefer a creamier sauce. The thick-cut chips were wonderfully prepared—flavorful and with a nice crunchy exterior. I also enjoyed the Caramac Aero and Sky brownie, which was absolutely delightful! The service was efficient, and we didn't have to wait long for our meals, even though the place was quite busy when we left. I would definitely return and highly recommend this restaurant."
"Popped in for lunch whilst waiting for the train back home after the euros (Sco v Eng) because after a few days in London, still during restrictions, couldn’t face another major chain ‘take out’ for convenience and we had time to kill. I was a...bit concerned as there was nobody else in and it was so still lunch time. However, I had not needed to worry- the waiter was very attentive and welcoming, the restaurant was spotless including the toilets and it has a prime location over the road from Kings Cross station. We ordered two pasta dishes which were very reasonably priced and and a generous portion at that. I have been to Italy many times and the food at La Regina was in line, very tasty and authentic. I felt it was a shame that this place is possibly overlooked due to the convenience of other available options but people should give it a go, especially given the current situation I can only imagine how much independent places have struggled. That was also one of my reasons for wanting to eat in someplace like this and I was glad I did."

"So we came for my husbands birthday. First of all due to a local taxi company letting us down, we didn't arrive until 7.20 and our table of 7 was booked for 7pm so upon profusely apologising because we were late arriving, it was absolutely no trouble getting seated by the staff. Secondly the restaurant was smaller than I expected but again all the staff were very accommodating for us as a party. We were served for drinks pretty much straight away as soon as we sat down which I liked. As we all know when you are attending as a larger party at a restaurant it takes a little while for everyone to decide what they are having but again the staff were very patient and gave us plenty of time to decide on our menu choices (I hate being rushed for anything). Starting with the food, my husband is a chef and this was his first day off in 12 days and it's very rare for us to eat out and for him to have not a single complaint or grumble about the food, which he didn't! Service was prompt and in an ideal amount of time between each course. The price of the whole bill, considering 3 bottles of wine, 3 glasses of Pepsi, 4 beers and a jug of water, 6 starters, 2 garlic breads and 7 main meals was very reasonable! The food exceeded the expectation and the service was excellent, 1000% recommend and 1000% will attend again!"
