"Sister to Trinity restaurant in Clapham Old Town Bistrot Union is, I think, the longest standing of the small cluster of restaurants in the more sedate Abbeville Road. There was, until recently, a set lunch and dinner menu, but much of its contents have been transpose to what is a more flexible a la carte. Hence we chose a couple of snacks rather than starters before our mains and shared a dessert. All were superb. Comte Gougeres were more-ish cheesy croquettes which complimented nicely crab pate on a brioche. Our mains both featured pork, one a boiled Montbeliard sausage with puy lentils; the other a sliced pork loin chop with choucroute and carrots. A shared slightly salty basque style cheesecake concluded matters poignantly."

"Visited Friday afternoon, restaurant was very quiet only a few people dining. We chose this restaurant due to a Voucher we had been given as a present. I am a vegetarian and found the set menu very limited. Starter was awful, had the beetroot one, not sure what the white food in the middle was but when you cut it just leaked white milky sauce over the plate! Partner had chicken wings, sauce was tasty but too messy and tricky to eat in a restaurant. The mains ordered, a veggie burger which was disgusting, looked liked a meat burger and was very over cooked and chewy. My partner tasted it, I took it out of the bun and just ate that and the chips which were hot and tasty. My partner had the meat burger and said it was delicious. The only saving dishes to this meal were the desserts, sticky toffee pudding and chocolate brownie. I would rather have eaten that 3x over than what I had been dished up prior. Drinks over priced, 1 small coke in a bottle and 1 small Moretti bottle £11 and then we had to pay service charge on top. Wouldn’t return, we’ve got another voucher to use but will be giving this away. Left hungry and disappointed."

"star restaurants in the past, but Gordon Ramsay's restaurant blew me away. The atmosphere was classy and elegant, the service was impeccable, and the food was absolutely delicious. Every dish was a work of art, and we savored every bite. It was truly a memorable dining experience and the perfect way to celebrate my husband's birthday. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a special dining experience."

"My son uses the bar regularly and always has a great time in a safe and well run environment. The previous evening however after enjoying a meal, he left his expensive headphones in the bar They went missing but I can’t fault the help we had from the friendly bar staff and especially the Manager Dean to find them and ensure they were returned to us. He went out of his way to support us and nothing was too much trouble. we will definitely be back!!"

"I went on Friday night for the first time in almost two years with my usual co-administrators to the king's." I was quite overwhelmed to find the atmosphere intact, everyone relaxed, no mandat nonsense, just do what a pub is to get a table. Relax down and with a drink. to go to a bar and not speak through a plastic screen. the personal was so inviting even after so much time! I really felt humble, these people here really invest in their customers. munchables were the usual what they see is what they get and very satiating standard, delivered fast and hot. I am so glad to be back and hope to visit the king again as regularly as we have done before."

"I'm a bit obsessed with the hot wings there. beautiful place to visit during the week, put points in plus as I can work from laptop while I have a coffee. nice for an evening dinner on the earth with family, good children menu. livelier at the weekend, but they have a dj on and 2-4-1 on cocktails that is a plus. beer garden is beautiful when it is warm, but there are protected areas when it rains. not my thing, but the other half appreciates the big screens to watch the football. the employees work hard and are always helpful, never had a problem."

"When we first arrived, the noise level was acceptable, but it increased while we waited for our meals. Despite this, we enjoyed the food and found the staff to be fantastic, with other patrons being quite friendly as well. I would definitely recommend this place—it's not fine dining, as it's a pub, but it offers great food at a very good value. My only complaint is the TV being too loud when it didn’t need to be; we could hear it just fine before we ordered. I will certainly eat here again if I'm in the area, but I’ll be sure to avoid times when football is on! "Scarborough flyer has always been one of our family’s favourite bars in Scarborough. Staff are always ‘top class’ and very helpful and obliging. However, we will never return to the pub due to their door staff who are complete and utter bullies! I witnessed a lovely looking family who I feel was targeted due to one of the females having a black child with her and her family. The door staff were aggressive, and trying to snatch a drink out of a young females hands in the group and telling them to leave. We were astounded by this behaviour because they had just arrived, and we were sat next to them and was unable to see any reason for the door staffs behaviour. Apparently, it was due to the young boy wearing trackies I must say the young boy was dressed very smartly) and the doorman said it was not allowed, however, there were no signs stating you could not wear track suit bottoms after a certain time this was 8pm in the evening. We personally believe they were being racist towards what appeared to be a very nice family. The family stated they were going to take the matter further and I offered my number to them if they needed a witness regarding the hostility showed by the bouncers!"

"So disappointed tonight. Havnt been here for quite sometime. Had recommended this pub to a friend for her birthday as have not been disappointed before with food or service. Tonight was different. Maybe because we didn't go till 7 but that should not be an excuse. Food order was wrong and the woman serving it was rather rude it was as if our fault. The food was like it was the dregs at end of the day. One of our party ordered the curry she didn't even get her rice and the amount of curry in the bowl wasn't even half. Such a shame and very disappointing. Heard people on table over from us who also got incorrect order. Shocking really"

"We visited this place whilst staying at a local holiday park with three kids and a dog at teatime and we’re really pleasantly surprised with the standard of the food. The younger kids had burgers and chips and a dessert off the kids menu which was good and the older girl had macaroni cheese off the main menu which she enjoyed. I had foot long nachos which were spot on and my girlfriend had a mini dish tapas selection of three dishes which she enjoyed. Those meals with a round of four drinks cost £55 which we thought was excellent value especially as the food was good."

"Sandemans fine dining tasting menu paired with some delicious wines was the perfect evening for us. The food was delicious and the wine worked well. The only disappointing thing was that there were almost no interesting options for our guest who does not drink alcohol. The only offering was a 0% lager or the usual other soft drinks. We wanted to order a fabulous mocktail or interesting non alcoholic pairing option from the menu. This was not possible here but our delightful waiter did accept the feedback and thought it would be a great idea to have something interesting for the non alcohol drinker or indeed the appointed driver. The restaurants decoration was lovely and the atmosphere special. The toilets could definately be upgraded they don't reflect the style or standard of the restaurant. Toilet seat hanging off in one of the two cubicles too. However, it was a very special evening which we all enjoyed and look forward to returning and experiencing the upgrades which will ensure things only get better from an already great position."
