"Last Friday morning I wasn 't really feeling my usual treat of a coffee so I thought I 'd nip into Juice Garden for a treat instead. This was my second time visiting, first time was just after it opened and I was impressed with the shop and the drink, but just hadn 't had the time to come back. Not going to lie, I find ordering here pretty awkward. I love the big menu on the wall, but found my self hesitantly standing in a group of customers in the middle of the shop who were all deciding what to get. I love that they have lots of options, but it was a bit too much for me (perhaps it was just my early morning brain function). I also really like they list the health benefits of each juice, but again it 's more reading to speed through while you 're queuing. Maybe I just need to pick up a take-away menu and pick what I want before I arrive! First visit here I panic bought a Protein Pig juice but luckily it was lovely! This time I was determined to have a better look at the menu before choosing. I ordered a medium Morning Juice (pineapple, apple, passion fruit) to go. I think the pricing here is a bit on the high side, but I get it if they 're ordering in fresh ingredients each day. I liked my drink a lot, and it was gone all too soon! As I 've said I 've visited twice now and each time I 've found the staff to be polite but a bit stand-offish. First time I just put it down to being a new shop but maybe not. When the girl at the till said there 's your drink (a totally innocent phrase) it sounded more angry than you 'd expect! Saying that it 'll not deter me from going back a third time! I really like the decor and atmosphere of the shop and would like to sit in and try some of their food or snacks with my juice next time round!"

"Indigo Yard was among the pioneers of Edinburgh's hip eating and drinking scene; one of the first to combine a modern bar with a cosmopolitan restaurant. It's no longer quite cutting edge – the in-crowd all frequent George Street venues – but what it hasn't lost is its cheerful vibe and the chance to drink a bit, dine a bit and generally hang out with no rush to go or decide.Part of its lure has always been that it's a bit tricky to find; its discrete entrance tucked away in a courtyard behind Pizza Express. If you're there then you must be in the know... But once inside things really open up. Dimly lit lofty interiors are broken up by a mezzanine level and surrounded by comfy booths. The food here always been respectable, but its direction a bit hard to pin down. The Mediterranean is certainly there in the good tomato, mozzarella and pine-nut salad and in the excellent goats cheese tart with rocket and caramelised onion or the succulent garlic roast chicken. But elsewhere the menu delivers all sorts of pan-Asian goodies, like the roast pumpkin red curry or the treacly-rich duck spring rolls, or king prawn and salmon skewers. There's a good selection of wines, many available by the glass.Mornings, from it reverts to Scottish with good-old cooked breakfasts the pick-me-up of choice after a hard night out. Two courses go for around you may need a bit of patience at peak times, particularly Friday nights when suits arrive en-masse to unwind after their desk-bound week."

"I came directly from Brazil to The Understudy bar in London on the recommendation of an American friend with great taste in craft beer. As soon as I walked in, I had a very pleasant impression of a well-trafficked atmosphere with very distinctive décor. The music in the room also seemed very tasteful, with a good variety of British and American bands from the psychedelic rock counterculture of the 60s and 70s, including The Animals, CCR, and Jefferson Airplane. I confess that I fell in love with the cosy, charming, and elegant welcome of this bar in the heart of London, just a 15-minute walk from Big Ben and the London Eye along the River Thames. The beers I drank were particularly tasty, special adn delectable. The bar offers a diversity of flavor experiences, with a range of different beers, each with its own distinct personality. Before choosing my starter beer, I had the opportunity to sample a number of different craft beers, kindly offered by a very welcoming team. I tried a variety of IPA, PALE ALE, and STRONG ALE beers, each one more flavorsome than the last. I have to confess that my taste buds had synesthetic experiences. I was charmed by the warmth with which Anna and Alice welcomed me, with a remarkable talent for handling customers ' requests with attention, kindness, and grace. In short, the place is cozy, very well attended, and alluring. My only criticism is that it would be much more alluring if the staff could dress more freely in their own clothes, rather than a monochrome outfit with National Theater KERB written on it, which I found very distasteful and which contrasts enormously with the free, alluring, and relaxed atmosphere of The Understudy. Apart from the staff 's terrible choice of clothes, The Understudy is an authentic bar you will want to visit and that will remain in your memory for a long and good time."
