"I had only been to Indigo Yard once before for a quick drink, but I was excited to go out for a work night on Friday. The atmosphere at Indigo Yard is cool, with a spacious open layout featuring brick walls and an industrial chic look. There is a mezzanine area with tables for dining, as well as a back room for diners. When I arrived, I met my coworkers at a table near the entrance for a drink before some of us sat down for dinner. We were lucky to visit on a night when an Edinburgh Gin representative was handing out free samples of their gins, which are a personal favorite of mine. The gin selection includes raspberry, elderflower, and a new spiced orange variety. After enjoying a drink, seven of us sat down for a meal in the back room and found the menu to be quite appealing. They offer a great deal of 2 courses for Β£10 all week, with a variety of options to choose from. We all went for the deal and I started with a chicken caesar salad followed by salmon teriyaki over rice (although the menu said noodles). The food was tasty and the portion sizes were reasonable. After our meal, we went back to the bar for more drinks and enjoyed live music from a band playing popular songs. The atmosphere was enjoyable and I had a great night overall. However, I was disappointed by the high prices of the drinks. A double gin and tonic cost me Β£8.80, and all cocktails were priced at or above Β£8. Even a spirit and mixer was around Β£5. While I will definitely return to Indigo Yard, I will need to save up before my next visit due to the expensive drinks."

The drinks at this restaurant are delicious with a good selection of beer. However, the food is lacking in flavor. Two of us had to add salt immediately, and the other person's burger was very dry.

It was great to see that there were vegan options available, but unfortunately, the burger I tried was a bit dry and flavorless. The restaurant had a pleasant atmosphere and the staff were very friendly. I would consider revisiting, but would try a different dish next time.

This place is amazing value for money. The cocktails are delicious and the staff are very friendly and genuine. Everything I have had to eat here has been good. The risotto is so tasty. The fish and chips are spot on. The salmon I had here was awesome. Great place for smokers as there is an outside area which is very pretty. The whole place has high spec chic decoration and is very clean. I have nothing bad to say!

Disappointed with our visit, the 'not quite the whole nine yards ' were lukewarm and the portions varied in size. We were a large group who had booked a month in advance but they were totally unprepared for our party, even though the rest of the place was pretty quiet. The waiter came across quite rude at times and generally acted like he couldn 't be bothered. Not a complete disaster as others enjoyed their breakfasts but overall felt this could have been a more pleasurable visit. View menu

I have been here for drinks and for food. Latest visit was for an early dinner before heading off to a friends wedding. There were 4 of us and we had voucher for half price main courses made the whole meal quite reasonable. We all had starters and main courses and a couple of bottles of wine. I had a traditional prawn cocktail for starter was exactly what it said on menu. Nice juicy prawns and good seafood sauce. Main course was pasta with bacon and peas nice big portion. Early on a saturday night it was busy and bustling with mix of diners and drinkers not pretensions at all.

Loving Indigo Yard! At first I actually thought it was an extension to the back of Pizza Express...I know, I am blonde after all. I like the atmosphere. It sort of feels relaxed and cool, and makes you feel relaxed and cool at the same time. The crowd is a bit of a mixture, from young uns to students to the more mature customer to couples, it has something for everyone. As well as being a bar, it's also a restaurant, so you can have a little nibble with your Pinot Grigio. It isn't the cheapest place to drink though, a cocktail setting you back around Β£7-9, which means you could have a couple here then move onto somewhere a bit cheaper on a night out! I recommend the Preston's Fizz, a new con...

I have to admit I 'm not quite sure where I stand with this place! Been undecided on two or three stars! On one hand I enjoy it as a bar, particularly in the summer after work or on a Saturday afternoon its predominently an 'office worker ' style clientel). The outdoor seating has been a welcome addition, allowing you to enjoy a glass of something chilled in the evening sun! Then when it gets chilly head inside to enjoy a cocktail or two as the after work vibe picks up.. Def a good place to start on a Thurs or Fri evening! Part of the bar is separated into a restaurant area... This is where I 've been disappointed! Part of the Montpeliers group there are regularly deals on lunch or evening m... View menu

The tucked away atmosphere of this wee place was wonderful. Inside, the mezzanine and old stone give it a light and open feel even though we were in at night when it was raining. We only had drinks, although people had eaten there on other occassions and spoke highly of the meals (and when boys wax lyrical about steak, you know it's worth going back for! . Drinks were pleasant and it just felt like a really chilled out environment, even when a group of suits seemed to form an impenetrable wall to the bar. (They parted like the red sea when a very attractive young woman made her way to the bar! Eventually, the music did become a bit too loud to be able to have a conversation without shouting...

Now having visited this place the last two Friday's I feel qualified to write a review. The first visit was with a friend, we took advantage of a two course for Β£10 deal which was excellent value. The seabass and cheesecake i ordered were tasty and a good size.Despite the noisy exterior,(it certainly is a booze after work kid of place0 we had a comfortable table and the talk and our conversation was not drowned out bu the music as other reviews had warned me. The Second visit was with a group off 22 girls(a well behaved hen party .When we arrived we had booked with the intent of partaking another two course deal but sadly the one we had seen advertised two days before was no longer running a...
