"I highly recommend this place! It's very kid-friendly, with plenty of space for children to get involved in the BBQ cooking. The service was excellent as well. We dined for dinner, and the cost per person was around £50–60. Overall, I would rate the food a 5, the service a 4, and the atmosphere a 4. Some recommended dishes include the seafood, the 16-piece nigiri sushi platter, and the wagyu chef's special set."

"this small, family-run Japanese restaurant is a hidden gem. the service is imperfect, but very polite to add the charm of the place. the menu is relatiw classic with taking some scrub rolls. one is the house roll (educated), which contains a lot of fish and is quite large cut. the actual excerpt was the horse mackerel sashimi (figurative). beautifully presented and extremely fresh and delicious! I would recommend this place to anyone who is close to the opposite and wants a high-quality No-Frills Japanese meal."

"my man and I saw the afternoon tea in savoy on google and when we arrived, we found that we wore casual clothes so that we didn't feel comfortable going in. we found the melba in the small load of the savoyen, which makes us very happy that we can taste some of their deserts. we had the celestial and creambule, both are perfect sweet, refreshing, and it was delicious. we took a star down because the first staff when we first came was not very friendly and treated us as invisible. but the second employees at least try to ask what we are looking for."

"Superb food and excellent service spoilt only by the shouting and swearing from customers in the bar a few feet away. I was embarrassed for my wife who had to be constantly bombarded by a string of f-words throughout the meal. I realise that this is probably beyond your control but the close proximity of the bar to the restaurant with no intervening doorway suggests that this is probably a regular occurrence and not something I could recommend to friends. "One way to determine just how good and authentic a Japanese restaurant is, is how popular it is with the Japanese themselves. Well, this little place is frequented by Japanese regulars every day, many of them risking their careers by leaving their desks in the City for a few moments! Don't be put off by the unassuming premises. Whether you're looking for unadulterated made to order sushi and sashimi, or, in my experience, the best (and most addictive) katsu curry London has to offer, then this is the place. And it's all at reasonable prices. Unexpectedly for such good Japanese food, it's run by a pair of Sri Lankans who trained in Japan for several months, and it shows. Although they also offer some Thai options, I'd stick to the Japanese stuff as that's where they really excel. The lunch specials are especially good value."

"my first visit was certainly not my choice, I'm just randomly with some friends together. I've always avoided going to one of those chain restaurants. what surprised me most was the fresh of eating. I really enjoyed everything I tried. "A few days ago we visited this place. We ordered Georgian Borsch, Adjarian khachapuri and Philadelphia sushi. Borsch-10/10- a lot of beef, delicious seasonings. Adjarian khachapuri-9/10- very tasty, but for me the cottage cheese was too salty( maybe it will be ok for someone but I highly recommend trying it! Philadelphia sushi- 9/10- the sushi was huge the presentation of the dishes is very good We really liked all the dishes! we will definitely come again And separately, I want to say about the service. it's just 1000/10! all the waiters are very welcoming and friendly. "visits with a buy a gift voucher, which allows us to make two three meals from a set menu. we waited 5 minutes or so on a Sunday night when there were no more than 10 people in the restaurant. we also needed a gluten-free version of the set menu, which meant that we had to use the website to crossmatch what was included in the set menu to see what was gf. we had to order via the website. we asked a server about ordering gluten free and they had no idea how we should do that. the food was excellent and the portions were generous for a set menu. the main issue came with the bill. we presented the voucher and we were then notified to the voucher only a set menu. not what the credit card said and we were asked to pay the rest. the server came back a few times to ask us to pay and then talked to a colleague. they have worked out that the order by the website, coupled with the gluten free options not considered, it was a set menu order. it would have been better if the personal used the old-fashioned ordering method that tends to work better. especially in the nutritional requirements. it was solved, but we were made to feel like we were wrong. my advice would be if they have a good license, ask to order personally to avoid frustration. the food was excellent."

"We decided to celebrate my Dad's 50th birthday party at The Annex and it was absolutely wonderful! We chose this venue because of its flexibility in terms of weather. Despite reserving an outdoor space in hopes of good weather, it ended up raining in typical British fashion. However, this did not pose a problem as the staff had set up large umbrellas and heaters, allowing us to still enjoy the outdoor space. Abi was incredibly helpful leading up to the event, answering all of our questions promptly. On the day of the party, the staff assisted us in setting up decorations and provided excellent service from beginning to end. They even packed up all the decorations and wrapped up the cake at the end of the night. The pizzas were delicious and well-received by our guests, and Abi accommodated our requests to customize certain items on the menu. I highly recommend The Annex as a venue for any party or event!"

"The food was great. Fresh, taste great and great portions. However, the customer service was very poor. The staff members looked worried and panicked when we arrived and we were the only ones in the restaurant. The waitress was VERY slow to take the order (we had to ask her to come over and the food came out very slowly. No chop sticks were given to us and my soup came with no spoon (we were given a very large serving spoon when I asked for a spoon! I have to say, I understand that the place was mainly based on take-away and the poor girl serving at the front was over worked and seemed like she didn't have the support of any other staff member. She was doing everything on her own. So think the management of this place need to work on getting support for their staff. During our meal, one of the delivery men came in a shouted at the poor girl in front of us! Very unprofessional. Anyways, basically, GREAT FOOD, but poor customer service experience! So if you want food from here, get a takeaway!! Also, I was with friends that felt sorry for the girl serving us, so we paid the service charge, but honestly, if they are going to be so rubbish with their service then take the service charge off."
