"Fantastic range of small dishes and meals for lunch and dinner. The menu ranges from scandi to oriental, so something for everyone. The menu is clearly marked with allergens, including what meals can be adapted. The chicken is halal and vegan and vegetarian options are plentiful. The cocktail and mocktail menu is great and they do one of the best espresso martinis in Shrewsbury. The decor is modern and comfortable and there is plenty of space. As a wheelchair user, I can get into the ground floor and to a table. The outside seats are up a small step, but the whole front of the building is a retractable wall of windows, so I can still get the feeling of eating outside in good weather. The service is friendly and knowledgeable about allergies, the menu and the wine list. The staff are helpful and unobtrusive. The only difficulty for me (hence the 4 star review) is that the accessible bathroom is next door, in their sister bar, Libertine. Unfortunately, libertine isn't open the same hours as HotRS, so I can only use it at certain times. The ladies does have a lock on the door, so staff have cleared the ladies toilets, which allowed me to take my chair in and lock the door. I had to walk a couple of steps to get into a stall but my chair was safely with me. Of course, there is also no alarm cord, but they stood outside the door so would have heard if I shouted for help."

"By far one of the best food halls in the country!!! If not the best in the country. A huge huge selection of all far east Asian restaurants including Japanese, Chinese, Malaysian, Vietnamese etc. Portions are massive! I did warn you! Prices are not that cheap but this is reflected in portion size. Fore example sweet and sour chicken is approx 12.9 but the taste is the real winner! The food does not taste like any other local takeaway. The concept is amazing and is my go to for Asian food!"

"We had an incredible dining experience at this restaurant. We were able to watch the chef prepare sushi right behind us. The prices were very reasonable and we appreciated the fact that they showcase art on the walls that is available for purchase from local artists. We highly recommend supporting this local business instead of the chain restaurants on the main street. This place is fantastic!"

"Makan cafe was a recommendation and wasn’t a disappointment, on portobello road on the outskirts of the street market, this place is a must try….. we were there for the Malaysian food but they also do chimes food, Indian snacks and treats… samosas, kebabs, cakes, desserts…. There’s plenty of choices…. The Roti Canai is very good, flaky and crisp Roti, flavoursome curry…. Top 3 in London….mee hoon goreng seafood…. Vermicelli noodles with seafood and egg…. Mouthwatering good, right amount of spice, very authentic in taste, fresh seafood… washed down with iced teh tarik, correct amount of sweetness and flavour….. take away banana cake which thoroughly enjoyed on train home…. Amazing recommendation and you’ll struggle to find a better cafe that caters for many cuisines…."

"Today, seven of us went to a bottomless brunch and it was a big mistake. The first drink took 40 minutes to arrive and the waitress argued that she didn't take our food order when she actually did. The manager was very sassy and dismissive when we mentioned the delay in our drink arrival, stating that it was busy and walking off. Additionally, the nachos were listed as vegetarian on the menu, but they came with bacon unless specifically requested without. We were granted an additional 20 minutes on our drinks, but there was no waitress service during this time. When the time was up, the bill was brought to us without any offer of more drinks or dessert. There was also no separate area for brunchgoers, resulting in families being seated among our group of ladies having a lively time. Overall, the staff were rude and argumentative, and the lack of popular menu items like curry was disappointing. We will not be returning to this restaurant."

"Really great experience!! The staff is lovely and really kind and patient, the food is delicious and there are plenty of options on the menu, also a lot of them vegetarian. The food itself is more than enough and tastes so good. Loved this restaurant, would definitely go back if given the opportunity!"

"This is the third time visiting a different Kokoro. It is the first time where they wouldn't customise options even though we were the only ones in there. Disappointing as all the other Kokoros had before and we could see someone making up the sushi so it isn't like anyone wasn't available. This happened the second time visiting this Kokoro yesterday, the first time we went at lunch time and ordered a Pumpkin Katsu Curry and a Chicken Katsu Curry, we were very surprised at how much Pumpkin and Chicken we got as other places like Yo Sushi for example only give you a small amount. The down side was that I felt like the curry had a bit of a strange after taste, I have tried a lot of katsu Currys and none of them had this weird taste. A lot of options and it was clean which is why I am giving it 3 stars."

"Really unhappy with our family meal. We ordered the shared £36 mixed grill for 2 people that came with 2 sides, the meat portion was very small. We left very hungry and had to order a takeaway when we got home. The food is overpriced and portions are very small. We also ordered chicken burgers for the kids which were fine but again very overpriced as it comes on its own and you have to pay another £3.90 for chips to be added £11 for a kids meal and £14 when we added the drink). I am happy to pay for a good meal but we left after the main because we were so disappointed. This ruined our family treat out."

"We ordered the hot pot for three people and received a large pot of soup filled with meat, seafood, vegetables, and rice. It was incredible! None of us had ever tried hot pot before, and it was our first time experiencing Chinese cuisine as a family. We ended up loving it. I'm already thinking about celebrating my birthday with my family at this restaurant in December."

"It's one of the most authentic Xian noodles in London. I have been coming to this place for six years and the quality remains consistent. I love the basic pulled noodles with beef or with only veggies. The one with veggies looks a bit sad, because they only put a few Bak Choy leaves. However the main star here is the noodles and the chilly oil. As it is drenched in chilly oil, I would agree this is not the healthiest food, but definitely a comfort food for me. The Dine-in experience was not exceptional. Basic settings and often long queues. Totally recommended to reserve for dine in or just get it delivered as they do delivery via different apps."

"The restaurant is in an excellent location with a beautiful sea view. The food was amazing, the best Thai cuisine we have had in a long time. My dad even said it was as good as the Thai food he had in Thailand. The Thai curry and rice cost approximately £16, which is great value compared to another seafront restaurant selling fish and chips for £18. They also have a kids menu available. The ambience is lovely, the staff is friendly, and the restaurant is very clean and child and dog friendly. We will definitely be returning. Even the coffee and hot chocolate are worth stopping in for."

"We visited on Sunday 27th Oct. at about 5pm. First impression of the place was very good! We had a selection from the Asian Tapas vegan menu: enoki mushroom Tacos, Vegan hot wings, age gyoza and also the tempura tofu and aubergine yakitori... My favourite was the age gyoza! (Little light parcels of mushrooms same pastry as spring rolls are made of). OH loved the Tacos. The seitan hot wings were very spicy but yum. I forgot to add that we also ordered the Bok Choi fritters which turned out to be onion barjees with bok choi in the middle pretty tasty We also ordered a portion of the tempura cauliflower this was probably being too greedy though, the batter was great but the cauli was a little too firm. This might have been because we told the waitress we were in a little but of a rush when we entered and then ordered the cauli when we had already pretty much finished everything else! I also had the super green juice which was surprisingly good! Oh and there was a bottle of cucumber water on the table when we sat down which was really good! Overall the place was really nicely decorated in a simple rustic/chic style, the service was great and quick, the loos were nice and clean and the price was very reasonable."

"This is my local Chinese Takeaway and I've never been disappointed yet. I've lived in this locality for years and have seen this establishment change hands a few times (and I think the name may have changed too) but China City has always been...a reliable source of Takeaway food. The current owners have been here for a few years now and they are always polite, courteous and helpful. The prices are keen, the menu is wide-ranging and varied, tending toward Cantonese these days, the food is prepared quickly, and the quality is always second to none. You could compare the quality of food from China City with any number of other take-out establishments or eat-in restaurants anywhere in the country (believe me I have), and for me, this place would always come out top. It's a small pity that they can't offer a full sit-down restaurant facility because I feel sure that people would travel some fair distance for food of this quality, once the word got around. Everywhere I've travelled I like to enjoy a good quality Chinese meal, but I'm always glad to get back home and visit my old faithful' China City. Can't get enough of it "

"I was pleasantly surprised by the variety at Peaches. It's often difficult for me to find Chinese restaurants that offer vegan options, but their selection of vegan dishes is outstanding and clearly indicated. We opted for the all-you-can-eat menu and I was provided with a separate vegan menu along with a platter of vegan starters, ensuring that my food remained separate and allowing me to sample a bit of everything. The staff were incredibly helpful and the food was delicious! I highly recommend this restaurant."

"This place might be small but the food is mighty! Myself and 3 work colleagues hadn't eaten in Poole before and we were not disappointed. The food was delicious and plentiful. The service was fast and the ladies where very attentive and water and drinks were topped up quickly. We all had 2 delicious course each, with 4 beers and the bill was less than ninety quid, bargain! It's in the street behind the quay but I advise you book so as to avoid disappointment. Absolutely wonderful food and great service. Can't wait to go back next time I'm working in Poole."

"The food was very tasty with a good selection, brilliant salad bar to compliment the mains. Deserts were also plentiful with fresh waffles and pancakes being made. The resturant is in a good spot overlooking the Southwater lake and convenient for the park to work it off in afterwards (for adults and children . My only negative is that it wasn't as clean as it could have been. Crockery and cutlery not washed well so had to root for a suitable plate to use."
"The food at this restaurant was mediocre at best. Many dishes were overcooked and rubbery, with some appearing to be reheated. The salad was starting to go soggy and tasted off, while the noodles were both hard and burnt. Surprisingly, even the watermelon was dry, which is something I have never experienced before. Overall, it was quite disappointing, especially since we came for my daughter's birthday expecting a wide variety of choices but ended up with limited options. The price we paid did not match the quality of the food we received. I would not recommend this place."
