"Since our usual local takeaway was closed due to a chestnut tree blocking the entrance, we decided to give Ming's a try. We had ordered from them many years ago and it was decent then, but this time was a big mistake. The chicken curry and chips should not be difficult to cook, but unfortunately, there were more onions than chicken in the dish. The curry sauce was thick and gloopy, resembling syrup, and the chips were only just cooked. It's hard to believe anyone would claim this is the best around. We definitely will not be returning and recommend others to try elsewhere. We would appreciate it if the management could respond to this substandard food."

"We 've purchased a takeaway from Ho Lap twice now. Since it 's so hard to find a decent one in the area, we went on recommendation. The first order wasn 't too bad, and probably the only decent one out of all the takeaways we 've tried recently. However, our second order yesterday was somewhat disappointing. As others have mentioned, everything seems to taste the same. There 's no 'freshness ' about any of their food. Everything is overcooked and quite hard, and literally breaded, battered, and deep fried. Even the meat in the special fried rice, which, although had a nice flavour, had hard bits of meat in it. I really fancied the salt and pepper chicken wings, and yet they turned up breaded, which isn 't clearly stated on the menu. The salt and pepper king prawns are really good, though. To me, it seems they haven 't got a chef who knows how to cook Chinese food, and they simply deep fry everything on the menu. Sadly I think our search will have to continue, as this place isn 't cheap either."

"Review for Chop Chop now known as Bamboo Inn. We went in and asked to be seated and the server (male, middle aged man was abrupt. We sat down and tried to catch his attention as he walked back towards us because he had walked off straight away after seating us. We asked if the garlic sauce was suitable for vegans. Vast quantity of vegetarian options on the menu including garlic sauce. He abruptly said no and walked off again. My husband tried a third time by asking if he could recommend anything vegan on the menu. He replied with, No. No vegans here. We asked, You don 't serve vegans? No. The most bizarre and rude exchange I have ever experienced. If I had read this myself I would think it was a joke, but I read another negative review and I absolutely believe them. What a waste of time, I do not believe they don 't have anything vegan. (Since when was broccoli not vegan, for example? I actually believe they have a rude front of house staff member! Saved our money and spent it elsewhere on a lovely Indian meal instead."

"In my 35 years alive this has to be the worst food I’ve ever had the chicken was so under cooked and the pork was so over cooked it was disgusting never again!! "We picked up food from here last night. We were staying in beckington at the travelodge and decided to give new china cottage a try. We ordered chicken Chinese style, beef in black peppercorn sauce, fried rice and salt and pepper chips. We rang the order through and were told it would be ready in 20 minutes. The meal was ready on our arrival and came to just over £16.00. We drove to white horse view beauty spot with paper plates and half bottle of white wine....classy I know! Anyway the food was perfect. Tasty, hot and really delicious. Being of an age I have had dozens of Chinese takeaways and this has been the best by far."

"This was my first time ordering from this takeout restaurant. I placed my order on a Monday evening at 7:20 pm and it was ready for pickup just 20 minutes later. The service was excellent. I ordered 3 main dishes, 2 special rice dishes, and 2 portions of pumpkin. The food was delicious, hot, and exactly as I had ordered. I cannot fault the service or quality. The only downside was the limited parking availability."

"By far the best tasting Chinese in our area! We’ve been to them all, including our home town Tywyn and I would absolutely, hands down, travel the 50 minute round trip every time to buy from The China Garden and we’ve been here 30+ times! Always tasty, always still hot despite the travelling, good quality chicken and other ingredients .. surprisingly still good value for money considering the current climate. Chicken chow mein and the garlic chicken and onions is just super yummy. If you’re visiting, you seriously won’t find a better Chinese takeaway for an hours drive around .. "After spending £30 on a chippy for 3 of us we sat down to eat it and a few mouthfuls in my son spat a chip out and said ewww what’s that,,, when we looked it was two little stones!! My partner called them to explain what had just took place and the owner said ‘Well this does happen sometimes when we prepare the food’. He didn’t seem at all bothered about it and said we can have a free bag of chips on our next visit!! Think I will pass thanks George!!"

After talking to me in an unpleasant way, I went ahead to order special chow mein and special fried rice with no pork because I promised wife and the kids but I nearly changed my mind. Got the food, reached home, wife opened the food, it contained pork which we don't eat. I took the food back, she offered to give me another food with no pork, I refused and collected my money. I sometimes order nearly £50 of food for the family. It was better when Mister LAW himself was there. NOW THEY GIVE YOU AWFUL SERVICE WITH DISGUSTING FACE AS IF THEY ARE A FOOD BANK."

"Been ordering take away from this place for years. The last take away we bought from here wasn’t up to the usual standard, but we assumed it was a glitch. Unfortunately it wasn’t and tonight’s take away was probably the worst I’ve ever tasted. I’m not sure but it did cross my mind that the this take away had been taken over by others. Who knows, but I can’t support a take away with the poor quality of tonight’s meal (king prawn curry, rice, chips and prawn cracker). 1hr 40 minutes for a meal with reheated chips, nearly cold curry and rice and stale tasting prawn crackers. What a fall in standards from previous years offerings. Tonight’s meal has definitely helped us decide not to order from this place again. A shame when things go to pot, but they either need to give up or sort out their food quality, disappointed customer."

"Moving on to the food, the starters were excellent. We tried three different types of ribs (honey, BBQ, and salt and pepper) which were all very meaty and flavorful, I would definitely recommend them. The wonton soup was also very good, as were the char siu buns, spring rolls, and chicken satay skewers which were all delicious. However, the main dishes were a mixed bag in terms of quality and taste. The duck in plum sauce was disappointing as the sauce was watery and the container was filled with onions. The special fried rice, sweet and sour chicken, and chow mein were fine. The black bean sauce and curry were a bit strange in taste, with the curry having too much fennel which made it taste like aniseed or liquorice. The black bean sauce was bland and unlike any I have had before. All of the food was lukewarm despite being only 2 miles away from the takeaway. In conclusion, I believe they need to reconsider their delivery charges. I would recommend the starters as they were well done, but personally I will not be ordering from there again due to the delivery charges and disproportionate free items. I would prefer no free items and the food to be delivered for free and kept hot."

"2 main dishes of Kung Po chicken and beef with green peppers in oyster sauce were very disappointing. The Kung Po chicken seemed mainly to be made up of water chestnuts/bamboo and there was none of the sweet/sour/spice you expect from the sauce, didn’t really taste of anything! The beef in the other dish was extremely chewy and again, could barely taste the garlic or oyster sauce. The chips and noodles were both good but you can’t really get them wrong."

"We have randomly discovered this place and has been our go-to Chinese food place ever since. The food is absolutely delicious, the meat is always great quality and the service is impeccable. If you like Chinese cuisine and have been looking for a new place, do give Eastern Choice a go, you won’t be disappointed."

"I went to order from here with high hopes due to other reviews and i have mixed opinions. I ordered online for picked and opted to pay with cash. The procedure was easy and they gave me an accurate pick up time so my food was ready when i got there. The ladies behind desk were really nice and the service was quick. After i left multiple people went in who sounded like regulars so i went with an open mind. Food wise, we ordered egg fried rice, chicken chow mein, duck pancakes , chips and sweet and sour chicken balls. The egg fried rice didnt taste like normal egg fried rice and was pretty bland, same with the noodles. The sweet and sour sauce was overly sweet and the plum sauce was really salty. The chips were alright. For me i didn’t mind the meal but it didn’t have as much flavour as i would’ve liked! It was quite expensive but the portion sizes for what we got were enough to share between 3-4 people. If you want a quick chinese on a hungry day i would recommend here. "Booked a table for 4 at the Lee garden Chinese restaurant in Lichfield , it was my partner 40th Birthday, The restaurant got us in on the day which was nice. so it was supposed to be something special, for a special occasion. Got into the restaurant and the waitress came over and gave us some prawn crackers, then took our order for drinks so far so good. The drinks came over, then the waiter took our food order. We ordered Two hot and sour soups, sweet and sour Cantonese chicken, Noodles, Sizzling lamb Cantonese style, special curry, Vegetable curry, egg fried rice x 2, chips and spring roles. The food took over a hour to come out which wasn’t great. when it arrived the hot and sour soups were Luke warm and looked like they had been in and out of a microwave. The lamb Cantonese style tasted like cheap meat it wasn’t lamb, my mate said he wasn’t sure what it was, It was dreadful. Both rice dishes were Luke warm and the noodles were cold. To cut a long story short apart from the chips which were Fantastic, the rest of the food was a microwave job.. Plus the special curry hardly had any meat in it!! For £13 plus a main meal I find this an absolute disgrace!! They took the rices, noodles and soups off the bill, which still came to nearly £80… It was a rip off, we paid £80 for food heated up in a microwave.. Please avoid, I felt sick after this meal and I shall personally not ever return to this place. Michael Wan's Mandarin in Blackpool Is a premier league Chinese, the food fabulous! This establishment however is far from that ,it’s utter garbage.. The staff were nice People, It’s not their fault , but the food like I said was a 0/10!"
