"The background music for a restaurant was a bit loud, the atmosphere was more like going into a bar. The lighting was too dark, we had to walk very carefully not to trip over. We had a large party so they have arranged a separate room, so that was good privacy. The food was okay, but for the price I was paying, I was expecting something better than that. However, the presentation was wonderful. I ordered a sweet sour pork, the meat so really dry and tough. The braised beef dish was quite a disappointment, the meat was not tender like how it should and the turnip was obviously not fresh and old felt like it’s been stored in the bridge for a long time). The hot sour soup only tasted vinegar, the chicken was off. The salt pepper soft shell crab was fabulous. I was expecting more sophisticated service from this nice restaurant, however one of the waitresses really surprised me with her rushy attitude. The speed for our order was incredibly fast, we ordered quite a few dishes but did not expect them to be served all at the same time. Literally there was not space she could put the dishes on the table. So I had to hold the plates while she tried to jiggle around the ones already on the table. Then she hassled us to all take a piece of soft shell crab from the plate so she could clear that plate! The quality and service did not worth £250 last night."

"My family visited today consisting of us, my parents and our 2 children aged 6 and 8. All generations loved it and the food was fresh and tasted amazing! We visited when Janet’s was in the market and will definitely be back again! Beautiful food and a lovely little restaurant. 5 stars"

"Today, we celebrated my father's 86th birthday by taking him out for lunch at this restaurant. We chose this place based on its great reputation and our positive past experiences. Today, our expectations were exceeded as all seven of us thoroughly enjoyed our meals across three courses. The food was delicious and the service was friendly. Although I had not mentioned it was my father's birthday when I made the reservation, the staff found out during our meal and surprised him with a dessert on a special plate that read "Happy Birthday" in chocolate with a sparkler. I am already looking forward to our next visit, maybe next time we can enjoy a quiet drink by the cozy open fire."

"Previously come here regularly precovid and always enjoyed scones and coffee. today's cheese-sweet was a solid rock-work, without cheesy taste, others blown the mere amount on the top. it was gray and stoney in the inner and clear undercooked. coffee was good, how was...hubby's cake. no one seems to be able to make light-cheese scene nowadays! very hot, so sat in the garden, but the half of the tables has no sunshade so that people actually go instead of sitting in the sun. a garden center has access to sunshades. fear, I won't go back in a hurry."

"Maybe we were a bit optimistic trying to find a pub roast in Llanelli after 8 on a bank holiday Monday, but, whatever the reason, we kept drawing a blank. My wife wasn 't keen on my idea of a pizza in the hotel room, and nor was I on taking out a mortgage to eat in the hotel restaurant. It was starting to look like there 'd be tears before bedtime (from me, obviously), but Jenny managed to establish the existence of a Thai restaurant open in downtown Llanelli, so off we went – and how very lucky we struck. Lovely food, at reasonable prices, and very generously apportioned. We had pad thai, a sweet sour pork dish, and coconut rice. Interesting to note that this was my first visit to Llanelli in 50 years – my last being just before my grandparents left Wales and moved up to Sussex to be near the rest of the family in the early '70s. Much has changed in the interim – not all for the better, by the look of things, but this restaurant is without doubt an extremely positive development. Thanks for one of the best Thai meals I 've had anywhere."

"Staying overnight en route to Cornwall. We stayed at this amazing Family run Traditional Inn. The menu is extensive and added specials board. Portions excellent and tasty. We chose fish and chips and sweet sour pork. Well presented and the service attentive and friendly....Our room extremely comfortable, ensuite shower room clean and plenty of hot water, complementary shower gel etc. Tea and coffee making facilities in the room, biscuits, and good size TV with full range of stations. Breakfast was excellent as well. Value for money excellent. Looking forward to staying again."

"I really fancied a Chinese only to find out Hee's at the top of town no longer existed, so I hit Google with a Best Chinese in Basingstoke search and coming in at No1 with 4.9/5 was Basing Chinese Cuisine. Ordered my usual dishes with a friendly and polite lady and in under 5 minutes it was ready which surprised me somewhat. The Crispt Chilli beef must have been microwaved because it was as tough a old boots with a slight drizzle of chilli sauce at the bottom of the container, the Special Chow Mein was not special in the slightest unless you're into o'ding on MSG. I was starving hungry and ate the lot so not all that bad but certainly not a pleasure and at £13 for two dishes it is over priced for what it is. Maybe I have been spoilt over the years and the residents of Old Basing think this is the best Chinese there is, they need to look further afield as this is bog standard ordinary."

"I came across the menu by chance at our holiday cottage. For someone who hardly order any Chinese food due to disappointing quality, I was very excited to find a Chinese restaurant menu which hasn’t been westernized -proper Chinese dishes which you could typically find in China only. We ordered the food tonight and the quality of the food was second to none. We had our young daughter dine with us so for some of the dishes I ordered them with no or little spice. They turned out exactly as I asked for. The portions were also very generous, as well. Great value for money! Highly recommended and hope the restaurant could open a branch in Manchester near where we live. If you are a fan of real Chinese food, go for this restaurant. Let the dishes take you to the true Chinese cuisine!"

"I recently moved to Radcliffe and decided to explore the restaurants in the area. My first impression of this place was that it is an established, traditional Chinese restaurant that has been serving the community for many years. The only menu option available tonight was the all-you-can-eat for £20 per person, which I found to be great value for the wide selection of dishes available. However, it may not be ideal for those with smaller appetites. The food was delicious and you could keep eating endlessly, but the staff asked that you not order more than 4 items at a time to prevent food waste, which I thought was a great idea. The service was efficient and friendly, and I would recommend this restaurant to anyone in the Radcliffe area looking for a tasty Chinese meal. While the decor may be a bit dated, don't let that deter you from visiting. There is a charming little terrace at the back with a water feature and bamboo plants."

"tonight 15/12/2021 I celebrated my birthday with my family in shanghai, his first time that we were and wow we were blown away from the excellent customer service, I would like to thank andy for waiting for us, that was delicious, every dish was hot and fresh and full of taste, and they even my sonny strange request for lemons he enjoyed eating. I would also like to thank them for giving us a small discount for my birthday, which was a really nice note and very appreciated. I would definitely recommend and we will definitely return"

"The best Chinese takeaway in the area! The crispy shredded beef, beef and mushroom dish, chow mein, and Cantonese-style sweet and sour pork are all amazing! The rice is delicious, and the chips are fantastic too! But the highlight of the menu has to be the crispy fried samosas—you're sure to keep coming back for those alone! I also love the BBQ ribs! Overall, it's an excellent takeaway with super fast delivery, usually taking less than 20 minutes during off-peak times!"

"Oh dear, maybe you are having a tough day? The quality of the Chinese was very poor. Gloopy, swimming in a bright red sauce, I couldn’t distinguish between the chicken wings and sauce or sweet and sour ribsboth tasted the same! The house special fried rice was swamped in wet soy sauce and was like nothing a fried rice I’ve ever tasted Such a shame. Food: 2 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 3"

"The chinese elements of what is available is OK not the best we've had but not the worst either. The indian elements were awful to the point of being inedible. The Chicken tikka was so sweet it was like chicken in custard and there was barely any flavour at all. The guy serving and clearing tables was chewing his fingers and playing with his nose and hair the whole time we were there and then brought knives, forks and drinks to the table which was really off putting and surprising given all the extra hygiene procedures that most restaurants have in place since covid started. We felt so cheated by this experience as we had been looking forward to it and saving ourselves for it all day."

"I Visited this take away on fri 21st April Apon entering this takeaway restaurant you are greated by a lovely lady who was very friendly and knowledgeable about what they sale. This is a small step up into the restaurant which may pose a issue for those with mobility issues. But when you do go through the front door you are met with a large waiting area which is clean and presentable, you also get a lovely smell that sets your taste buds tingerling. I ordered the mixed hors d'oeuvres, chicken chow mein, sweet and sour chicken balls and special fried rice. All for a little over £20 which is exceptionally well priced within the current climate of price rises. You can tell that the food is freshly cooked and when you taste the food it certainly confirms the freshness. The portion size where large and certainly left me very full. Overall I have to recommend this Chinese restaurant and I will definitely be going back again for more. And to the restaurant I thank you for a lovely meal."

"I absolutely love this restaurant! My family and I have been dining here for 8 years and we have never had a bad experience. The food is incredible, with lean meats and generous portions in every dish. The prices are very reasonable and the food is always piping hot when we pick it up. The service is top-notch, with a perfect score of 5. The atmosphere is also fantastic, earning another 5.Overall, I highly recommend this place for a great meal at a great price."
