"Removing my review from 2 yrs back because this place has gone downhill since and doesn't deserve my positive feedback no more. Firstly the guy at the front (he's new coz the previous lad was a gentleman) is awful and a bully. He has no scooby on decency in speaking to customers and offering a decent service. My account was on credit because l paid twice on one order.. Why coz your basket is never emptied from your previous order and if you don't remove it you end up paying twice. Came back to claim my credit and the same lady who advised me against getting my money back claims l had already used my credit! So l guess l made it up. You have no right to treat customers the way you treated me when l came to request for my credit of which l have proof of payment and you never showed me any proof of me claiming it. This used to be my favourite place but never going back and you can keep that money for all l care."

"The quality of the meals here can be inconsistent, but overall, the dishes I have tried were enjoyable. The honey chicken was a bit overpowered by the sweetness of the honey, and my cake arrived frozen. "Not the force it was. What was the top Camberley Chinese restaurant. Has now become nothing more than a cafe with overpriced food and drink. Dynasty was literally luxurious top-notch food. Gone are the days of plush seating now replaced with wooden tables and chairs. £9 for a Singapore fried rice that would hardly feed 2 people. The other dishes at £8 a pop I've disappointing at best. Not even a portion of prawn crackers Such a shame that it's reached this poor level. No disrespect to the service. The waiter was attentive and friendly. Totally let down by the overpriced poor quality food. If you're going to have a takeaway you're probably better off going next door to Mac wok away."

"An order was placed for delivery by 19:55 through Just Eat which you accepted. App says it was delivered at 19:55, it was not. The driver turned up at 23:15 saying he only got the order 10 mins ago! Had been trying to contact you from 21:30 onwards but couldn't get through. I fully understand that things are busy and waiting times may be longer for delivery but this is ridiculous. Not one phone call to advise of delay. This was supposed to be a birthday treat for my 11yr old. To say I am disappointed would be an understatement. Would never order from here again."

"Lovely family run business. Staff were friendly and the service was fast. The bbq skewers were delicious and it was cool being able to watch them getting cooked on the grill outside. Portion sizes were large and we felt it was great value for money. For 4 people it was under £70 and we left feeling really full. "Me and my friend where starving and I mean STARVING so we decided to give this Chinese a chance, firstly I walked into the shop to see the place was slightly a mess but that didn’t bother me as much as I was hungry, we got home opening our food excitingly as it smelled pleasant, I opened it to discover hell. I ordered a chicken chow main and it was like jelly, even my dog wouldn’t go near it, secondly I got s&p chicken and my mooth was on fireeeee but there was no flavour just spicy, and the chicken was rubber, the curry sauce came in a huge tub and tasted like it was store bought, the chips you only get 6, and the prawn crackers where low-key mid, I will NOT be back here again to pearl of honking now I have depression and have been prescribed anti depression and I have healthy dioreha."

"I ordered from Wan Choi for the first time today and my family and I were not disappointed. We have been stuck ordering limited items from most Chinese takeaway restaurants as we only eat halal. I was pleasantly surprised to find Wan Choi online one evening when I was scrolling though a list of restaurants near me that offer halal food. I read through quite a few of the reviews on google and found most of them to be very positive. I ordered though Just Eat and set a delivery time. I received a call back from Wan Choi just after they opened and they asked if they could deliver a little earlier as they were very busy. The gentleman I spoke to was very polite and professional on the phone and I agreed to the earlier delivery time. The delivery was made at the exact time stated on the phone and all social distancing measures were taken. Driver confirmed the name on the order so as to not deliver to the wrong address and left. The food was all well cooked, sufficiently seasoned and tasted freshly prepared. We ordered quite a few different dishes as we wanted to really try them out. I hope they are consistent with the service and quality of food as our first experience was great. We will be a returning customer for the foreseeable future. I would highly recommend Wan Choi to anyone who only eats halal but also to anyone who doesn’t care either way."

We returned to Colchester for a concert and immediately decided that we had to try Chinatown again, we were not disappointed.
