"Absolutely atrocious. Usually a regular at this Chinese but tonight it was horrendous. We will definitely won't be ordering from here again. We usually get the munchies box but decided on a change. The portion sizes were disappointing and the quality of most of the food was poor. Over £11 for salt and pepper chips and salt and pepper chicken and this is what we got. Disgraceful."

"I was threatened and abused for asking to speak to the owner. They told me they didn't know his number. I was sworn at multiple times. And laughed at. This is the only Chinese takeaway I order from. I have never had an issue till this time. I'm contacting an ombudsman to deal with them. Service minus 10. Food has always been top notch until my last order. I have never been treated like this by any takeaway. Hung up on, laughed at and sworn at by multiple members of staff. I'm truly disappointed"

I particularly appreciate the clear and friendly service provided by the woman who answers the phone. She makes ordering a pleasant and efficient experience, which is important to me as I can get impatient with phone conversations. There have been times when I have requested special dishes and she has always been accommodating and helpful. The quality of the food is consistently excellent and I am always satisfied with my takeout orders from Rainbow Garden. The quick delivery time is also a huge plus, with my food arriving at my door in about 20 minutes. If this takeaway shop ever closed, I would be truly disappointed. "I was impressed with the speed with which the dishes arrived, although my friends began to order a few minutes before the table, and the tables were generally large enough to have a number of dishes without taking over! The Chinese New Year menu had some great dishes, e.g. mushroom the moss looked like hairball from a drain plug '' BUT standout was the hainanese? chicken with rice garlic diving!!! I decided to have Pu 'reh tea because it seems better suited than a glass of wine etc. Very pleasant decor that gives character but does not distract from food."

"My friends enjoy the restaurant, but the only dish I found satisfying was the fish in hot chili oil. The fish was delicious, especially combined with the pear. The noodles were well-prepared and held together nicely. The tofu dish had a strange taste, different from what I expected. The sweet and chili shredded pork was better than average, but not my favorite. Overall, the restaurant's food was average."

"Me and my friend where starving and I mean STARVING so we decided to give this Chinese a chance, firstly I walked into the shop to see the place was slightly a mess but that didn’t bother me as much as I was hungry, we got home opening our food excitingly as it smelled pleasant, I opened it to discover hell. I ordered a chicken chow main and it was like jelly, even my dog wouldn’t go near it, secondly I got s&p chicken and my mooth was on fireeeee but there was no flavour just spicy, and the chicken was rubber, the curry sauce came in a huge tub and tasted like it was store bought, the chips you only get 6, and the prawn crackers where low-key mid, I will NOT be back here again to pearl of honking now I have depression and have been prescribed anti depression and I have healthy dioreha."

"I ordered from Wan Choi for the first time today and my family and I were not disappointed. We have been stuck ordering limited items from most Chinese takeaway restaurants as we only eat halal. I was pleasantly surprised to find Wan Choi online one evening when I was scrolling though a list of restaurants near me that offer halal food. I read through quite a few of the reviews on google and found most of them to be very positive. I ordered though Just Eat and set a delivery time. I received a call back from Wan Choi just after they opened and they asked if they could deliver a little earlier as they were very busy. The gentleman I spoke to was very polite and professional on the phone and I agreed to the earlier delivery time. The delivery was made at the exact time stated on the phone and all social distancing measures were taken. Driver confirmed the name on the order so as to not deliver to the wrong address and left. The food was all well cooked, sufficiently seasoned and tasted freshly prepared. We ordered quite a few different dishes as we wanted to really try them out. I hope they are consistent with the service and quality of food as our first experience was great. We will be a returning customer for the foreseeable future. I would highly recommend Wan Choi to anyone who only eats halal but also to anyone who doesn’t care either way."
