"the best libanese I tried. it has become my kryptonite at the evenings that I do not want obbr/>cook. The huh shawarma is slightly dry, so I recommend the baby huh with rice, the rice is amazing, like the brot, and the halloumi brot, and the flafel, and the garlic sauce. it's all amazing (and it's not too hard on her wallet.) In the did. that write about it made me hungry, something tells me that it's Lebanese tonight."

"A nice, family restaurant that produces normal Lebanese food. Nothing out of the ordinary but it was an enjoyable experience nonetheless and service was very good. It’s suitable for all the family kids too as there’s no alcohol and no shisha. The mezze selection was quite nice but I feel overpriced at £20 for the smallest plate and contains only the basic items (hummus, baba ghanoush, mutabbel, tabbouleh, wara inab, felafel and the strangest muhammara I’ve tasted in quite some time. Personally I didn’t like the look of the buffet (all hot items with a lot of meat and no mezze selection so I ordered a la carte instead. Buffet was £12.99 for adults, £6.99 for kids 5 10 I think and free for under 5’s. I’d definitely return but don’t expect anything really amazing here."

"Le Ziz is a great find in Dalston/Stoke Newington area, particularly if you are going on to see a play at the Arcola Theatre. My friend and I could walk to the theatre within minutes after enjoying tasty and filling main courses. We had not time to try starters or sweets so cannot comment on those. However, I enjoyed the charcoal cooked chicken with mushroom sauce which was delicious and plenteous Very helpful and pleasant waitress. We spotted her snipping some rosemary from plant outdoors which then appeared on our plates!"

"The food quality at this restaurant is consistently excellent! The quick and friendly service only adds to the experience. While we didn't bring our own alcohol this time, it's still great value for the delicious, fresh, and high-quality food we received. We often bring first-time visitors here and they always want to return!"

"Our multi generational family group really enjoyed our meal here recently. They are a family run restaurant specialising in traditional Lebanese and Syrian food. The menu is quite comprehensive to say the least, and not being *that* familiar with the cuisine of this region we opted for a few starter dishes we'd heard of (such as Babaghanouj) together with some others we hadn't. Sharing everything was a great way to try multiple things and I'd recommend it here as there were some really tasty discoveries. For mains, most of us chose a kebab in one form or another, with separate servings of salad and rice (the Mujadara rice whole lentils rice cooked in vegetable oil spices, topped with fried onions was really good). As an added bonus, you can bring your own alcohol with you the corkage is only £1 a bottle. They also stock a range of Lebanese wines and beers as well as some mainstream beers. Given how popular the restaurant was on a Sunday evening goes to show they cook and serve great food. We'll definitely be returning here."

"Chosen for its proximity to Hampstead Theatre and the good reviews (which must be from friends/relatives of the owners! we arrived at 5.40 to an empty restaurant, were totally ignored by the staff, saw a table with my name on it, eventually someone came over and bought menus but could not explain any of the dishes. Waited over 40 minutes for food which was cold and tasteless. Managed to get waiter's attention, said food was cold, she shrugged and walked away. I asked for the service charge to be deducted from the bill, this was removed without anyone even asking why! Why is this place featured on toptable? We would have had a better experience at Macdonalds!!"

"No doubt their lamb Sharwarma and sautéed liver is a show stopper here. It's BYOB, Chefs, and Staff are very attentive, a very nice ambience (warm, clean, and cosy). What more can you ask for... the price? Very reasonable! It's £7-8.00 for their lunch menu offer (12 -4 pm) so you can taste the good food for yourselves. I've been eating here for three years or more, I think, and the standards of quality are well maintained. See you tomorrow, guys!"

"First takeaway in over a year. Spur of the moment thing. No need to preorder. Good space for ordering and waiting. Floor clearly marked. Hand sanitizer station easy to find and use. Falafel freshly formed from raw mixture and cooked to order. Salads boxed up on ordering. We had different salads, both very tasty and fresh. Plenty of herbs etc. Not oily. We had green tea and mint tea. I thought it was strange that there was also a regular breakfast tea bag in both teas but it worked. The hummus and baklava were delicious. Just under £20 for the two of us. Really good. We have been oil free for about 6 months and didn't feel unwell after this meal, well for 5 hours anyway as I'm reviewing 5 hrs after. Staff wearing masks and gloves and close enough to botanic gardens to eat outside and still be warm. Recommended."

"So so so disappointing! We're locals and haven't been here for a while but we were very disappointed with the menu tonight. No wonder the place is almost empty. Patasas bravas no potato or tomato in sight! The most basic menu option and so cheap to produce but none of the essential ingredients so why serve what you served?! Poor show. Padron Peppers! So few they worked out to be £1 each! Prince of Wales and Mute Swan are much better, cheaper and more of them. Menu massively reduced from what it used to be and they haven't kept the good items. And SOOOOO over priced. Such a shame that it took a turn for the worse and will probably end up closing down if it continues with the ready meals out of a box. We can make that at home. Make it fresh! You're a restaurant! Bring back what you used to be! Staff were wonderful!"

"Extremely disappointed with this restaurant and seriously concerned about their (lack of) adherence to government guidelines around social distancing. Upon arrival (I had made a booking for 2), we were ushered to the tiny back area of the restaurant which was absolutely rammed with tables. The person leading us to our table actually asked another customer to stand up to give us his chair as 5 people were sitting on a 4 seater table. We were sat around 30cm away from the other customers so no distancing in place whatsoever. We waited at the table for around 15 minutes without menus or anyone paying us any attention. Seeing as there were only 3 people manning a VERY packed restaurant, it was no wonder they could not keep up with their service. That, and the fact that no consideration was given for our safety, led us to just leave the restaurant and look for something else. Thankfully there are lots of other lovely places to eat around Balham, otherwise it would have ruined our evening."

"I've been eating at this great Lebanese restaurant in West Hampstead for a few years. The menu is extensive enough to suit all tastes, with great houmous starters and mains. The welcome is always warm and value for money is excellent, with a good meal for 2 with drinks coming in at under £40."

"We came to Room43 after reading lots of positive reviews, and found the food descriptions particularly appealing. Our first impression was positive, as it felt quite cosy inside, and one particular waiter was very energetic. This waiter made us some cocktails which were delicious. That said, things went downhill from there. It took quite a while before the other waiter decided to take our food order. We ordered eight dishes between the two of us, as these are small plates. Eight was slightly too many I'd suggest 3 dishes per person should be enough. Our main issue was the flavours of the dishes, which were severely lacking. The salmon and the chicken had seemingly no herbs or spices on them as they tasted like plain baked salmon and chicken. The okra and lamb stews, and the smoked aubergine starter all tasted like tinned tomatoes and nothing else. The calamari was decently crispy but, again, lacked flavour and the pieces of actual seafood were quite small in comparison to the amount of batter. The lentil and mango salad had too many lentils and too little else once the mango was gone, we were eating plain lentils with no dressing or flavour. Finally, we are pretty sure the vine leaves are in fact the Asda vine leaves, which taste fine, but the mark up was quite substantial. Overall, we were expecting a flavour explosion based on the menu descriptions, but we in fact just had a disappointingly bland meal. My boyfriend also thought the music was a touch too loud for a dinnertime slot maybe a post dinner performance, from say 9pm, would be more appropriate, or a pre dinner cocktail performance from 5 7pm. In any case, don't have loud music on when people are trying to converse over dinner. We also found it a little odd to have a jazz band there as the ambiance and decor in the restaurant do not feel suited to a jazz band it's not a very opulent venue."

"It was my girlfriends birthday and we surprised her with a meal at this restaurant. they instruct you to book a table on their website to which we did. we received the confirmation email to confirm our booking at 8:00PM on the 20th August. After arriving with her and her family, the place was closed. With it being a Sunday evening, finding another restaurant was impossible as everything else was no longer taking any bookings or they had closed the kitchen. Extremely disappointed in this as we received no word or update on their opening hours and they simply wasted our time and ruined my girlfriends birthday. Would not recommend"

"Middle Eastern cuisine is one of the top foodie trends of 2015. Since visiting Marrakech late last year, I have become quite the fan, even though I don't find myself eating as much of it as id like too. Lebanese in particular is one cuisine I haven't had the pleasure of experiencing thus far to date, so I was most excited when asked to come along and review this newly eating space in St Johns Wood. Bashir, the manager of the restaurant welcomed us in with open arms and once sat down, explained to us the menu items and his recommendations for the evening. I actually love it when someone orders for me. These days, I either want to order everything off the menu or I just become way too...read more"

"I have been going to Mezza Luna for years and have always raved about the food! The front of house used to be run by the lovely Anna and in those days it ran like clockwork all was perfect! Last Wed we turned up and apart from some hand gel as you walked in there were no Covid measures in place that we had seen in other places. No temperature checking, no screens, staff nor wearing visors etc.. 2 of our group left almost immediately as they felt so uncomfortable. The service was at best chaotic, which we did not mind so much as they had 3 new staff under a week in the job and you could see they were doing their best. We arrived at 7pm we were eating our main courses at nearly 10pm. The head waitress through a wobbly and started swearing and abusing customers and through her tray across the restaurant in front of the whole restaurant and young children.. at the end of the meal I spoke to the owner politely and said the food was wonderful as usual however I felt concerned about the lack of safety measures and ft the outburst from his staff member was unacceptable. I was surprised that he tried to defend her behaviour And then the staff member who was walking passed and overheard had another wobbly telling me she had worked there for 7 years was stressed and was on minimum wage.. and then shouted at me to **** off twice, to which the owner did not say a word. We will it be returning sadly inside the restaurant! Bring back Anna that might be the only thing that can save that restaurant!"
