"I was originally searching for a different restaurant that had closed down, but ended up at this one instead, hungry and in need of food. I found the experience to be overall great and didn't have any complaints."

"Booked a table for Sunday lunch with my husband. Food was very good, waiting staff were polite and attentive. Waiting time was just about right between courses. Would definately recommend and definately be going back. Also good value for money, especially as had 25% off coupon, so 3 courses for 2, plus drinks came to just over £40."

"Go here regularly and the last few times I've been the portions are TINY and really stale like they have been in the fridge for days. My sushi yesterday was so cold I had to wait for it to warm up slightly before eating it as it was FREEZING. Paid £4.50 for a yasai roll and got 3 very very thin bits of sushi. Got an spicy avocado roll wasn't spicy but was SOAKED in sweet chilli sauce. Inari pockets were slimy. My mum got ramen we were both confused as the broth seemed just like hot water with noodles and mushrooms in it so it tasted like nothing. Also why is there no pickled ginger offered anymore? Yes, we are still in a pandemic but customers didn't have to pay extra for it before so why are they being charged a premium for it now? This place has gone downhill big time and wouldn't be surprised if it closes within next few years. Staff were friendly enough but also seemed like they couldn't really be bothered. Fair enough though as all transactions are online now so they are probably making even less tips than they were before."

"Absolutely shocked how bad the menu is since we last came. It’s like they’ve reduced the amount on offer hugely. My wife is vegan due to dairy and egg allergy. There was literally one option on the entire menu “pasta with tomato sauce” like a kids menu. So we left and went to Ask who had plenty of options. We used to enjoy Carluccios but if that’s the menu we won’t be back. Whoever designs the menu needs a serious word with themself. Other chain restaurants can do it. Such a suprise and such a shame"

"Honestly this place needs to hire friendlier staff. Two of them were completely unsuitable, especially one of the managers on the floor. Couldn't wait to walk away within seconds of serving the table. I mean when you ask someone how the food is, at least try and pretend you're listening to the answer! When we ask for black pepper....we mean freshly ground pepper....not the cheap stuff you leave on the table. Food took a while to arrive (25mins) when we asked for everything (starters and mains) to come at the same time. I don't know why you get penalised whenever we go for this option but that was a let down. Food was well cooked and enjoyable but the experience was not great. And back to the useless manager when we ask for a receipt after paying with a credit card, we want the credit card receipt not the pre printed bill with the list of items ordered."

"The restaurant downstairs is cute but small, with only 24 seats where you are very close to your neighbor's table. The service was nice, starting with a bottle of cold water and good fresh bread. Unfortunately, the wine selection was limited to varietal with no mention of producer or vintage year, which was disappointing for serious wine drinkers. The pizza margarita was good, although it could have had more flavor. We were not impressed with the linguine vongole as the clams were not in the shell, making it difficult to discern their freshness. The clams did not taste fresh and the sauce was overly oily with little clam juice or flavor. Prices were fair, but we are unlikely to return based on our experience."

"we had a bad service from beginning to end. the first server did not know the beverage menu, but helped us to solve. the drinks came slowly. we've been waiting for a long time for the food order. starter came fast, but it was about an hour for our main thing,...come including a mistake that did not write, the order made clear. server changed, a long wait for dessert menu, no table service for extra drinks, and another long wait time to arrive at desserts. 4 not available desserts (of 11). it was 2 hours 40 for us overall, and that was also that we take our desserts out. also a mistake in the bill that we have for desserts that were included on the fixed menu. I love a relaxed meal, not getting me wrong, but we only sat where we were fled to get attention. they were polite enough and full of good intentions, but there was simply not enough of them and they did not know that their trade. the food was good!"

"This is mine and my mum’s absolute go to restaurant before a show in Edinburgh. Without fail this is where we end up at the start of our night. Great prices, food and staff – I cannot recommend this place enough. Last time we had the pre theatre menu and everything was delicious and served very promptly. I started off with the fried Camembert which was delicious and just melted in my mouth while my mum had the mushroom in the white wine sauce. For main course; one of my favourite Italian dishes is meatballs and pasta which luckily was on the menu – it had lots of garlic through it which is just the way I like it. My mum went for the lasagna which was lovely but extremely hot when it was delivered to the table. As if I hadn't eaten enough I had apple pie for dessert while my mum had a coffee. Everything was delicious and we were out in plenty of time for our show. I’ll definitely be back again."

"spaghetti house, 20 sizilian ave, london wc1a 2qd. great food, great location, nice friendly staff. they were busy with a very unpleasant customer firm and fair, who stood up and left a lot to our pleasure, they did not need his use. would definitely recommend this jewel."

"I had made a reservation for a birthday dinner for six people on a Thursday evening, only to arrive and find the restaurant closed due to some issue with the kitchens. There was no one available to speak to, just a note on the door. I was disappointed that they didn't contact me by email to inform me of the closure, as it would have saved us the trip. We ended up going to Davanti in Tynemouth instead. Needless to say, we will not be returning to the original restaurant in the future."

"AMAZING pizza. The base is wonderfully thin and cooked to perfection, the tomato sauce is super tasty and each topping has been chosen with care. The menu is a bit weird with numbers instead of names, but to each his own, I guess? They will cater to requests which I appreciate as they don't seem to offer a simple prosciutto pizza (I had a six without rocket which was perfect) The order also comes with a pizza cutter which I LOVED as I like to cut my slices smaller. I do recommend to book in advance, particularly on event days at Ashton Gate."

"when we went to this place, my wife and I discovered a damp and muffy smell. it reminded me of a wet dirty mop! we were there for the pizza with the farewell and took place while we waited for them to be cooked. on the first look the place looked very nice, but while I was on our order, I could take a closer look. with more accurate inspection the decor and decoration was very sad," and in the necessity of improvement. we were glad that we were there for one. my pizza was very good, but a little burned at the edges, a part of the teigs at the edges was burned black. the pizza of my wife, however, was not cooked in the middle and the teig there was of a sloppy resistance. will not go back there."

"We went to Zizzi as part of a large group celebrating a family birthday. We normally go to Prezzo or Wildwood, won 't be going back to Zizzi in a hurry.... Customer service was poor staff were slow and the waiter bringing drinks asked who had the strawberry drink or the softtails . He clearly had not learnt the drinks menu. Didn 't want to take payment at the end of the meal (more below). They didn 't remember who had ordered waht, it was choatic and felt stressful rather than welcoming. Food distinctly average. My husband had the tripple pepperoni would have hated to see a single pepperoni , very sparse! Two of the guests had the risotto, the rice was hard and there was loads of liquid in the bowl which hadn 't been absorbed. For the money it was poor value and should have been cooked properly. Payment my sister left before we had dessert to take my elderly mother home. She gave me cash to cover the cost of 4 of the party not an insignificant amount. When the time came to pay I was told cash was not accepted at Zizzi and apparently there was a sign on the froint door. This would be the front door that was wide open against the wall with people in front of it because there was a long queue waiting for our table to be ready! Then we were told that staff wouldn 't take payment, that we had to use an app if we we wanted to pay individually. I loaded up the food and drinks from the 4 people plus my husband and I, then the app crashed, this happened a couple of times and after that I insisted staff processed the payment. Some serious quality checks needed on the food before it 's served to customers, and some customer service training for the staff is required. There is so much choice of Faketalian available in Salisbury Zizzi really needs to up it 's game..."

"We ate here as a family on Saturday July There were adults, one five year old and a baby. The restaurant is our local, just down the road so we know it well It has a nice family atmosphere, busy but not noisy, and friendly. The staff are attentive and cheerful but not pushy. The service is good, even when busy. The owner is very hands on and greets everyone. We chose the rioja wine which was gorgeous. The house wines are good too from past experience. The starters, pizzas and pasta are excellent and good value. Tasty and well cooked. In comparison the mains and specials can be overpriced and the portions quite small, although flavoursome. Two of our party had them and were a bit disappointed. Our pizza, the Anacapri, unusually, was a bit lack lustre, undercooked and not very tasty. Usually they are really good. However it didnât spoil our evening and we all enjoyed it, especially the children. Nobody minds them walking about and they get special attention."
"Staff were really friendly and found me a table in the bar area on a busy Saturday night. Service was attentive and my vegetarian lasagne and brownie were delicious, as was the raspberry muddle cocktail. I was too late for the earlybird deal, but even so it was reasonably priced. "I’m a big fan of this restaurant. Pea and fontina fritters were delicious, super crispy squid and a good marguerita pizza though I would have liked a little more topping and a bit less crust. Service was super attentive and charming. When we came in we were tempted by a refreshing goblet of aperol spritz we saw another customer drinking. It was so good I ordered a second which came in a tumbler. Not the same drink at all, the proportions were all wrong. Staff told me they only had 2 goblets and it was ‘ not company policy’ to serve them in the goblets! Really! What a shame as it ruined the drink. The lady on the next table sent her tumbler back, good on her. Please listen to your customers, invest in a few more decent glasses You will sell more if the drink is good and your customers will be happy ."

"I've never walked out of a restaurant before, and I've been to quite a few! Unfortunately, the food was terrible; there was no option for the pasta I wanted, not even the ones listed on the menu. When my meal finally arrived, it was cold, and all dishes had the same pasta with barely any sauce. I sent it back, but it came back microwaved, causing whatever sauce was there to vanish completely! We apologized to the wonderfully attentive staff, who truly tried to help, and then we decided to leave. Now, we're dining somewhere else and feeling relieved we did! Service: Dine in"

"We waited for an hour for our food, but it never came. The restaurant was not very busy, yet we were seated at a small table. When another diner arrived, she was seated right next to us, even though there were five other empty tables in the same area. The tables were already close together, but they moved her table even closer to make room for the empty tables. It was so cramped that I couldn't even get out of my seat. It was such a bad experience that we ended up canceling our food and leaving."
