"The special of the day was a lamb tagliatelle and it was fantastic. They should include this in the main menu so it can be easily ordered by many! Loved the ambience of the restaurant as it was rustic and homey at the same time with nice soft lighting, which made the whole experience so cozy. Choice of music too was on point. We were also served by very hospitable staff and will definitely come back for more."

"deplorable experience: what to say about service? We didn’t exist, we had to go to the bar after 15 minutes of waiting when no one came to pick up our order... the very young staff had probably received only limited training and did not breathe the joy of living and working. a table of more than 10 people, noisy and positioned in the middle of the room, prevented virtually any conversation, without the managers making any remarks."

"Lovely meal, excellent staff but had to wait too long for our table, arrived at 1945 for our 2000 booking, we waited 15 minutes at the bar for a drink as previous customers wanted cocktails and it was 2115 before we were seated, the starter arrived pretty quickly but had to wait ages for our main course, just before 2200 and our dessert arrived at 2235. I appreciate that it was a Saturday evening but it was a birthday celebration. We will visit again, just not on a Saturday."

"We had made a reservation a few days in advance, but when we arrived at the scheduled time with our guests, our table was not set up. However, the issue was quickly resolved and did not affect our overall dining experience. The restaurant offers a great variety of food options and styles, and the staff were knowledgeable in assisting us with our choices. The food was served hot and generously portioned, with well-balanced and perfectly spiced dishes. The Scallops Hariyali and Chilli Prawns starters were outstanding, and the Chicken Xacuti and Tandoori Sampler mains were especially noteworthy. Overall, all of our dishes were delicious. Prices are typical for a restaurant in this location, and you can view the menu on the website. The service was excellent, the staff were friendly and helpful, the food was delicious, and the atmosphere was pleasant. We highly recommend this restaurant."

"The Blue Teapot is a quaint little café with a delightful menu. The specials change frequently and they are more than happy to accommodate vegan restrictions (there’s always a selection of vegan meals on the menu too I ordered the from the specials menu the vegan samosa. I was absolutely delighted when it arrived to see that they were actually baked; sure that’s not authentic, but absolutely perfect for me as I’m not a fan of fried foods where I can help it. The flavours were spot on, and the dish was a pleasure both taste and visual wise, but also perfect portions for lunch! The staff were really friendly and the atmosphere was relaxing, we felt right at home. I’ll definitely go out of my way to visit again when I’m in the area, it was just a really lovely experience. "Ginger and Pickles is our favourite place to eat in Nantwich. We make a 50 mile round trip to visit Nantwich regularly. We always tell our friends to go to Ginger and Pickles. We are visiting Nantwich this Saturday with 4 friends. I rang to book a table, as it is popular and busy and knew we would struggle to get a table for 6. However I was extremely disappointed to be told they don't take bookings at weekends unless it's afternoon tea, saying they prioritise these. I am struggling to understand how a table for 6 for lunch would be less profitable than a table for afternoon tea. Feeling very disappointed UPDATE Thank you for responding Matthew. We did call in and managed to get a table for 6. The service wasn't the best as food came at different times and one couple had nearly finished by the time the 3rd couples food was brought out. It was madly busy. However the food was delicious and we all enjoyed it. Our friends said they would visit again due to the food being so good and we will also visit again"

"Attention to detail makes all the difference and sadly The Cavendish food frequently finds itself lacking. We ate in the Garden Room which is lovely. We ordered two main courses: Superfood Salad with nuts and seeds (only there were no nuts nor seeds on the dish) and the Fish of the Day which was a lemon sole with new potatoes and a watercress 'salad '. The fish was very nice (on the bone as I like it) but the watercress was at best a garnish ie very very little of it and it was the micro watercress, which was fine had there been enough of it to constitute a 'salad '! Add to that that it was yellow. I sent it back and an even smaller garnish appeared after some time. They had clearly picked out a few greenish leaves from the residue and the waitress confirmed that they had thrown the rest of the micro-watercress away in the kitchen because it was past its sell-by. But it should never have been served in the first instance and it certainly should be renamed as a 'garnish '. The dish was totally unbalanced: it was protein (fish) and carbs (potatoes) , no green veg and certainly not a 'salad '. When we pointed out that the Superfood salad was missing two key ingredients, the waitress returned with a half ramekin of a mush of seeds. It was difficult to see if there were any nuts in there but if there were, they had been whizzed to a grain. The worst thing was, it was sweet!!!! It was as if it had been prepped to go alongside the muesli at breakfast! We love the place but the food generally lets it down. What a shame."

"What a delightful surprise! I visited this restaurant for the first time based on a friend's recommendation and it did not disappoint. The family-friendly atmosphere, authentic dishes, and modern decor were all top-notch. The beautiful photos of India made me want to plan a trip there! The diverse menu showcased a genuine passion for real Indian cuisine, and I can't wait to go back and try more dishes. "The Cross Foxes has the most superb setting being right on the River Dee. It has a wonderful outside terraced sitting/dining area directly overlooking this majestic river, so it's location is prime. It was previously a Brunning Price restaurant and is now under new management/ownership. I hope the new owners make a success of it. We live relatively nearby and know it quite well. We recently called in for an early evening fish and chip supper which was tasty and the new owners appear to be working very hard to make a success of it. It was quite busy when we were there and was filling up as we left. We often like a soup and sandwich for lunch and are pleased to see they offer a choice of them on their menu."

"The absolute best place in Haverfordwest!! My partner and I were treated to three courses and a few cocktails. Espresso martinis and dark and stormies.. delish! Goat cheese salad starter was amazing!! The salad was full of goodies from radishes to pomegranate seeds and everything in between. My partner had the smoked duck salad equally as good! We had pan fried fresh sea bass cooked to perfection in a lemon and herb butter, we also had fillet steak with peppercorn sauce (and we ordered port and Stilton sauce as a sneaky dip for the chips) Steak couldn’t have been cooked any better and the sauces were divine! The coolest decor and the best staff they all sang along with the Birthday song for my partner too winners Thank you George’s!!"

"The most unique and interesting cocktail menu which always changes. If you like to treat yourself and love booze definitely try the tippling house. I had a Bare Bones which was an interesting hybrid of a rum and coke and a rich delicious sherry all in one sip (not to mention the flaming garnish!!! hit the spot! "What can I say I have known chef Sean Jeffers since he was 16 washing up in our yacht club kitchen, he has gone leaps and ,bounds and beyond ,he and his team smashed it out the park tonight absolutely delicious food and great service .started with some snacks some beautiful parmesan, truffle ,onion jam doughnuts WOW,fresh crisp ,soft focaccia. Then came the starter slow cooked IOW beef crumpet ,onion jam horseradish parsley emulsion, stunning, for main I had the baked cod ,fish mouse tortellini, keta, leek jus , smoked bacon and for me the showstopper pickled mussels BEAUTIFUL...... "Just had the best meal we have had all year. The White Horse has always been good but this was a leap forward. Amazing flavours and excellent ingredients cooked with great flair and imagination. My wife had sage and mustard gnocchi with roast root vegetables followed by twice baked brie souffle, sweet fig puree, granola and mulled wine syrup. I had fillet of beef, slow cooked short rib, pomme anna, confit carrot, braised red cabbage and red wine jus followed by baked white chocolate cheesecake with caramelised pistachios. With two glasses of rose and two pints of Earl Soham brewery's top bee Victoria Bitter, why travel miles when you can find food this amazing on your doorstep?"

"We we’re the only table using the restaurant , there wasn’t any ambience , light background music would have been appreciated . The chips onion rings were very lack lustre. The fish dish was however cooked nicely . We had dessert which was extremely expensive for the very small portion of cheesecake on offer ! All in all disappointing after the good reviews we had read online . Wouldn’t book again for a special meal , very average !"

"We had a fabulous meal here in February. The 10-course menu included a few off-the-menu bites, so it was probably a 12-course tasting. Since we were there in winter, the theme was foods that had been preserved in some way, such as dried, cured or pickled items. With one exception (a freshwater fish with dill), we found the food to be exquisitely prepared and plated; the aforementioned fish was good but not up to the same standard as the other courses. We included the wine pairing and so had the opportunity to taste eight Hungarian wines in addition to the food. The sommelier was knowledgeable and engaging. Seating in the restaurant was very comfortable, clearly designed for a long, leisurely meal. Wait staff were attentive and informative."

"we came in, sat at the table at the window behind the main entrance, and then started the fun. we ordered a starter, garlic brot with mozzarella. then, for the main course, we had an amazing tasty and for baked chicken breast to die that came with rocket salad, parmesan, creamy white sauce, and some tagliolini. for the desert we had sticky toffee pudding with vanilla ice cream and spiced honey panna cotta that saw and tasted amazing. I can't express how amazing the service was. I'd rate 10/10 if I could. we sat around 17:05 (ish) and had our ancestors about ten or 15 minutes later. shortly after we had our head. we were almost two hours there and enjoyed every second of it. many thanks that they make our first trip to the lake district, fulfill and welcome. I will definitely come back and recommend everyone I know."

"I am a local so I have eaten in this cafe before.I will however not be returning! Whilst the food is always satisfactory you first have to run the gauntlet of rude,stroppy and miserable staff.My friend and I are over sixty both retired professionals not that it matters but we are not used to being barked at and very embarrassed.I don’t think I will be visiting again,time for a boycott.They need to remember that if they have no customers they have no business."

"we were here yesterday for a baptism. the pub was a great hostess. the children loved the park and the computer games. the buffet was excellent and the food remained preserved. the beer was very good. we were over in one of the rooms and the breakfast next morning was also excellent. the coworkers and renters did a good job to make sure everyone had a great time. well done."
