"We made a reservation online for 6:30 pm on Saturday, April 27th and arrived promptly. The service was satisfactory and the food was alright, although there was a delay in serving the main course. When we requested a dessert menu, along with another prosecco and glass of wine, they promptly brought us the drinks but did not provide the menu until we asked a different staff member. After paying the bill and sitting and chatting, at 8:05 pm the waitress abruptly told us that she needed the table back immediately, even though my wife had not finished her drink. We were surprised by this, as no one had informed us of a time limit on the table when we arrived or made the reservation online. Despite other customers still present who had arrived before us, we decided to leave. Unfortunately, there was no staff member available to address our concerns about the time limit. We submitted a complaint through 'Opentable' later on, but have not received a response over a week later. We are disappointed with the treatment we received and will not be returning to Da Vinci, nor will we recommend it to others until we receive an explanation for the poor service."

"Booked in here for Tuesday 24th April evening when the weather was rubbish and I had the holiday blues so didn 't want to cook and the added bonus of a Groupon voucher to use also swayed my decision. Parking isn 't great to start with and I 'd guiltily parked outside someones house down from the cinema entrance : We entered for them to address us quizzically and claim that even though I 'd called earlier to book us in with my Groupon voucher reference they had nothing in the diary.. We were seated anyway at a very small table squashed right up at the back we had to 'bump ' passed 3 other tables which I found quite rude to the people sat down. We had no sooner got our coats off picked the menu up then we were pounced on to take our drink order efficient maybe or just a bit too eager? We ordered a bottle of red wine anyway not the house which I thought was a bit steep for a basic wine! and it was brought quick as a flash they then expected us to be ready to order we had only been in the place 8 minutes! The waitress was sent back to us and we ordered the meat antipasti to start, followed by the Gnocchi for me Lasagna for the Mr. We were brought a bread basket when the wine was produced however the butter given was solid clearly not to be used!The bread was nice and fresh though. Again, i didn 't even get a sip of my wine before the food was placed in front of us had it been pre prepared sat waiting to be ordered? The starter platter was to feature ' A selection of Italian meats and cheeses served with artichokes, olives and homemade bread ' the only bread we had was from the initial bread basket and I wouldn 't call 2 olives a selection! The meat was good quality but we felt a tad disappointed overall. We then had to wait 15 minutes for our main! My Gnocchi was nice, if a little bit bland, so I needed to be a bit over generous with the seasoning myself it lacked a bit of bite to be honest but the portion size was good. My Mr didn 't have may complaints for the Lasagna other than it could do with a bit more meat! maybe just a man thing! While we were eating, the close proximity of the tables to each other caused a few 'moments ' with the waiters a full portion of chips lost down the back of a diners chair and a bottle of beer knocked off the table when his bum stuck out a bit much in squeezing passed! Not really what I want to watch when having my dinner. We asked for the bill and sat for nearly 10 mins before I got up and went to the counter to ask again they were in no rush to get it paid either so we took the bill to the counter and paid there. I can see a lot of people are impressed with this place and go back on a regular basis I 'm not won over after this visit however. the tables are too close together the service is either too eager or too laid back where is the happy medium the beer wine list is a bit pricey the menu descriptions are a bit over zealous or they need to actually deliver on the description the food lacked seasoning. From when I observed during our meal, they are not short of business and do a good student trade. I 'm not sure for the 'professional ' couple however they have the right service/food/price quality balance I would be looking for to go regularly."

"We visited the restaurant before attending a show at the Royal Albert Hall. The food was very tasty and authentically Italian. The pizza especially was the best I’ve had anywhere in the UK and the puddings, chocolate cake and tiramisu, were also exceptional. Everyone was very friendly and the service was great, especially from our waiter Yassin. The only (very minor) negative was that as the restaurant became busier, it became very noisy and hard to have a conversation. Could do with a bit of sound-proofing! Regardless, I would definitely recommend for a great Italian meal."

"So, the waiter was kind of nice, but i could hear constant swearing from the kitchen and that was him…, i didnt feel respected…, Next, the fork! Omg, i couldnt grab salad with it,embarassing. People watchEd me eating with hands. Ha! And now bruschetta. That was toasted dry bread with not enough/ fried vegies. This should melt my month but…,well, i put lots of oil, salt, and that was quite ok, The wine was good. And spaghetti…lol I get dry noodles, ok? I mean wthl!!!!no joke. On the top of that a few mushrooms, little vegies, very little. No flavor at all. Like at all. Again i put lots of oil to get more flavor. Even waiter said that its better if i put oil. Hahahah So, he knew its not Best . Shame, cos i am in Hampstead quite often, and i love Italian food, but…, its a good bye."

"Booked Meal Friday's music event for 8pm. Pianist did not show up. No music at all. (Not even background music). Ambience poor as most people seemed to be there for event. We were looking forward to the meal event as we were only in London for 4 days. Would not really recommend cheese platter as there is hardly enough for one person, never mind to share. Main meal was fine. Staff were pleasant. However, manager did not advise that the pianist was not coming until well after 9pm. Customers seemed to leave quite soon after that. A disappointing evening."

"Supposedly a gelateria.... This place prides itself on being a gelateria in the day. Passing it the other day and it being warm, what better than a sorbet? Me and my companion got a scoop each per scoop which is expensive. We were given the smallest scoops I have ever seen, although my companion was left even shorter than me. "I'm really not one for complaining but my anger at the treatment I received in this restaurant is such that I feel I need to vent it as much as possible and let anybody considering eating here know how the management feel about paying customers. We came here with friends to celebrate our engagement and had a very pleasant lunch with great service. Then after we had paid we were approached by the manager and very rudely told we really had to leave now as he needed the table. We had no prior request to do so but we eat out all the time and are well aware that this is often asked of diners. Do not have a problem with this. Where my problem lies is the way we were spoken to and humiliated in front of a busy restaurant. He then went on to call us liars, argued with us and his response when we said we wouldn't be back was well don't be back We were basically dumped onto the pavement after paying for lunch. I hate having to complain and I'd rather fix problems when they occur but there was no talking to this arrogant little man. I read reviews all the time to make restaurant choices and I hope the management of this place realise that if you treat customers in such a shocking way that we can actually do something about and make others aware of what to expect. There is a vast array of other dining options in Glasgow so choose wisely and give your hard earned money to people who work for it and truly appreciate your custom."

"We chose this restaurant as we were staying close by at the Best Western Hotel, and reviews seemed good. Booked online and revived a timely confirmation by text message very quick and easy. The restaurant is very tastefully decorated and the ambience is lovely. Staff also very welcoming and friendly! Menu is extensive with lots of choice; I’m a huge pasta lover and it took me a while to decide on what I wanted. I opted for the calamari starter and OH had the deep fried mozzarella. Calamari arrived hot and good portion size with wonderful dip and side salad. It was however a little rubbery and I suspect was frozen rather than fresh. Fried mozzarella was delicious! For mains I had the linguine salmone and OH has the chorizo calzone. The salmon was divine! So much flavour and the pasta was perfectly cooked in a sauce that was light and balanced. My OH’s calzone was absolutely MASSIVE! He said it was the best calzone he’s ever had the pasty was amazing, very light. Because we were both so full we shared dessert of profiteroles, and these were delicious too. Quite a large portion with plenty of cream and chocolate sauce; delicious! Prices are great value for money! I would highly recommend this restaurant; a great find!"

"This is hands down the best pizza in Bath and Bristol. I stumbled upon this hidden gem in Clifton on my way to the Lido. Despite not having a reservation on a busy Sunday afternoon at 2pm, they welcomed us to sit at the bar and watch as they expertly prepared their pizzas. We ended up ordering 2 pasta dishes and a small pizza to share, but the pizza was so delicious that we ended up ordering a second one! The first pizza was exceptional - perfectly cooked with a great crust. I will definitely be making a return visit next time I'm in the area."

"Table for two pre a night at the ballet (London Coliseum). Super convenient friendly and welcoming staff. Lovely ambience, music. nice decor and furnishings. Food was delicious. Pasta dishes chosen. Side salad could have been better presented with dressings. Good value for money and would recommend to friends and family. Will be visiting again if in the area."
