"6 of us booked to celebrate a special birthday 3 ordered calzone, all 3 found this to be cold in the middle (due to a lot of filling we were told) 1 was reheated in a microwave which made the whole dish soggy We all received a replacement pizza but this was disappointing and seemed to be quite salty One of the pasta dishes ordered seemed to be very salty especially in the middle My wife ordered tagliatelle but received a risotto- she ate it rather than make a fuss on her 60th birthday Although the manager was eager to offer us replacement pizza we all felt the evening was ruined by then No effort was made to offer any compensation Maybe it was just a bad night and we can all have those but I cannot imagine visiting this restaurant again I left feeling very embarrassed and sorry for my wife who should have had a memorable meal for the right reasons"

"This is without a doubt the best curry I have ever tasted. I initially tried their take-out and it was exceptional. I have since dined in the restaurant multiple times with my family, friends, dates, and coworkers, and the atmosphere, service, and most importantly the food are all impeccable."

"We can only recommend the Ristorante Alitalia at Hammerbrookstraße 93, directly opposite the S Hammerbrook South. We'll definitely be back. We were 3 people, everyone had ordered something else and we were completely enthusiastic. The Rumpsteak is better by lengths than in the Block House, the Penne Arrabiata was super tasty and the pork medals were also great. The red wine Bella Primotiva was worth a sin."

"We were meeting in Liverpool for a family weekend and booked here for Friday night. Traffic delayed 2 of our party but it wasn’t a big issue. Once we ordered food it arrived in good time and everything was delicious. 2 couples each shared a pizza and pasta and they split the pizza onto 2 plates. We were celebrating a birthday and they brought the birthday boy a delicious dessert with a candle in without us asking. It was busy but we were upstairs where I definitely didn’t feel crowded. Would definitely recommend and we would certainly return if we were in the city again."

"Were seated at a cat table in the middle of the aisle, despite a reservation. My pizza was mediocre that of my partner's under all hell! Very thinly topped and the pizza base was half raw and thinner than paper! It was so thin you could see the plate underneath"

"On Valentine's Day, we waited for two hours for our food before deciding to leave. Unfortunately, no one in the restaurant was being served. There was no explanation given, which completely ruined our romantic evening. Three other tables left before us because they also hadn't been served. We only received drinks, and when we were ready to go, they told us not to worry about paying for them. The lack of service left us incredibly disappointed and shocked."

"Booked for our wedding anniversary i had the paella but it was all rice and every mouthful tasted of the same tomatoe flavour worst paella i have ever had, my husband had the serlion steak but didnt enjoy it, I had a taste but there was no beef flavour tasted of nothing ?? had starter main and a bottle of wine paid £87 wish I had stayed in and cooked would have had a much nicer meal, very disappionting."

"Very nice restaurant with a good value for money. The food is delicious, the service is friendly and fast, and the ambiance is appealing. Perfect for lunch. Reservations are a must, as the restaurant is very busy and therefore (also due to the stone floor) it is rather lively and loud. For us, as a group, it was just right, but for a cozy candlelight experience, it may be too loud, although one rarely looks for that during lunchtime."

"Stefanos is not your typical modern Italian pasta and pizza restaurant. Instead, it harkens back to the old school Scottish-Italian eateries that were once abundant. While many of these establishments have disappeared, Stefanos offers a delightful throwback experience with fantastic food, friendly staff, a charming ambiance, and a sense of family. "I live 100 miles away from this restaurant but was visiting a friend who suggested we eat here as she had recently moved to the area, and had heard good things about it. As my title says, please don't be put off my the exterior. The windows are actually covered up with scenes of Italy, which in a way cheapenes the look of the place and also means you can't see inside. Once inside though you get the feeling this is the real deal. It's not overly fancy, but with its deep green walls, it feels cosy and inviting. We visited on a Saturday night and it was busy but there was an abundance of staff so our drinks and food order was taken promptly. We started with Don's Special Mushrooms and I had Buratta on Toasted Focaccia. Oh my goodness it was one if the best starters I have ever had at an Italian restaurant. It really was a taste sensation and my friend said she could have eaten another portion of the mushrooms as her main meal. For mains we had Tortellini alla Panna and I had the Lasagne. Again, both meals were absolutely delicious. My friend was unable to eat all of her Tortellini and they were happy to pack up what was left for her to take home. Unfortunately there was no way we had room for dessert! This restaurant is an absolute gem it really is. Fantastic food, great staff and service, I have made my friend promise that we will visit again when I am next visiting her!!!"
