"I booked Sunday dinner at my man's birthday and asked for a table for 4 adults, 1 child and a high chair for a small child. when we arrived, not only was the table not ready, he wasn't even clean and yet, we were the first customers arriving at 12.15 a.m., hasn't done anything since the breakfast? the waitress had to go and look for the high chair we had asked in advance. worse should come. No one approached us to a beverage order and the waitress gave only one of our party a proper menu, all others only got drinks and snack menus. there was hardly anything on the menu anyway and certainly no Sunday roast, the one we hoped on Sunday. the waitress had to ask us to repeat some parts of our order because there was a conference party that arrived at the reception that was quite loud. the layout of the restaurant is open plan right on reception quite strange really and not at all promotional for a quiet family meal. then we were told that the fish plate was no longer available by us two. even though it was only 12.30 a.m. and we were the first people there, so how did it no longer come? if the fish has expired on Saturday, should it have been taken from the menu? I was really annoying because the lack of care and attention, the noise level and the lack of something decent on the menu has spoiled my man's birthday, so I decided to vote with my feet and tell the waitress that nothing was good enough. that should be a birthday dinner, nothing was ready, nothing we wanted to eat was available, so we went. she looked shocked, but didn't even have the gnade to apologize in the name of the place. we drove a mile down the road to a much more friendly venue called the swan and had a nice lunch there with friendly, friendly staff...and it was much cheaper than the clearly overpriced dishes we saw on the menu!"
