"monmouth kitchen has a large ambiente, beautiful interior decor and the afternoon tea is also a good value for its location in seven dials. our visit, however, was somewhat corrupted by a possible miscommunication between the waiting staff and the kitchen that we sat at 4:40 clock, and a member of our party came 10 minutes later, which is when we informed the waitress that we were willing to serve our food. around 17:40 we had only been served our drinks and therefore had to ask our food. this finally arrived at 5:45 clock, a full hour after the first of our party, and seemed some of the scorpses were soggy on the bottom, and some of the finger sandwiches were somewhat smaller than the others. that is, the service was impeccable, the waiting staff offered us free prosecco as an excuse for waiting and were very responsive to our feedback about eating. I would come back, but would probably suggest bringing an earlier time for the afternoon, so that they don't start at the end of the evening at delays!"
