"I already wanted to go one after katsouri deli, I went one past the window and a huge sausage caught me the eye. Since then, I knew I liked this particular delicate thing. too midday in the week this place is absolutely heaving. the employees are super efficient, they must be! that was not long. there is a series of options for lunch and an breakfast menu that contains an excellent full English. "So there I am, on a beautiful warm Sunday, sitting at home by myself. Impossible. I decide that I need to go out ASAP and just do something. And what’s better than treating myself to a nice lunch. Yes, I’m one of those people that doesn’t mind eating by herself and, in fact, loves it. I started walking down Upper Street, without any clue as to where to sit down. The reason why I chose Blue Legume, was simply because of the open front seemed like exactly what I was looking for. Decided to go for an egg white omelette and the Spirulina smoothie. Omelette was light and exactly as it should be, but I think I was more grateful for the potatoes that came along with it very very well seasoned. I was, however, completely blown away by the smoothie love the fact that it was green, not too sweet and so refreshing. Wouldn’t mind having it on a daily basis. I finished all of that pretty quickly and since I didn’t want to just head back home, I had a second look at the menu and finally found another excuse to stay. Ordered the apple crumble and some coffee to get rid of the sleepiness that was about to hit me. Nothing out of the ordinary here, except the fact that the crumble, was clearly microwaved. Was initially disappointed, but somehow it didn’t ruin my experience. Staff was very nice and receptive, no issues there, and unlike most times when I go for a meal by myself, there were no awkward stares. I felt pretty comfortable and happy after the entire meal, and that’s why I was back 2 weeks later with a friend for more. Would happily visit over and over again."

"We placed our order shortly after we arrived at the restaurant. It was quite busy, but despite the crowds, the staff were very cheerful and welcoming. The food was tasty - we enjoyed the full English breakfast and the ham and cheese toastie. The weather was beautiful, so we decided to sit outside, which was lovely. The coffee was also delicious; we are coffee lovers and were pleased with the quality here. We want to give a special shoutout to Barbara, our server, who brought our daughter a coloring book and was sweet to her throughout our meal. She was a very kind lady."

"Came here a couple weeks ago and had the pleasure of meeting the server Ash She was absolutely lovely and recommended some amazing dishes my favourites were the chilly cheesy chips and the meat samosas. We tried lamb Makons on our breakfast upon her recommendation which went very well with the breakfastSuch a good halal alternative to bacon She even managed to convince us to have dessert The food tasted amazing although the wait time could have been slightly shorter. we were recommended peanut butter shakes which were absolutely delicious . Smart sale tactics by Ash as we ended up spending far more than planned but it was worth every penny! The atmosphere was lovely as we sat outside and the owner was also a great chat. Definitely will be coming here again"

"Bolney is central to meeting up with my old school friends and we have always used The Bolney Stage for our catch-up. Having been recommended to try The Eight Bells I looked it up on the internet and was very impressed by the choice on the menu, so booked. I'm sorry to say it did not live up to expectations. The place was completely empty when we got there so had our choice of tables. My 2 friends arrived first and bought drinks. We found out later that the lime and soda had been overcharged by £2. We then looked at the menu which was quite limited. I had been expecting liver and bacon but sadly was not there. My friends asked what the soup of the day was as they fancied soup and half a sandwich. Unfortunately there was no soup and we were also told there was no chilli. They just had a panini each which when it came was HUGE. Perhaps a little too big, but very tasty. I myself had the steak pie which I thoroughly enjoyed. So no problems with quality of food, just lack of expected items from website menus. Service left a lot to be desired. Tables were never cleared, we weren't asked if we wanted more drinks, coffee, puddings which saved us from spending our money but was not really good for the business. A lost opportunity and we will be returning to The Bolney Stage. Sorry."
