"AVOID! Had many takeaways from this place over the years but last nights £31.00 order was beyond shocking. Let me also explain that I rang the restaurant directly before writing this review to resolve the issue and best they could do is offer a 20% off next order. I am actually shocked by the insulting man on the phone. The satay chicken had never seen a peanut in its life and actually tasted of garlic, mushroom and onion dishwater. The chicken balls were like eating little pods of exploding grease. Vile. The salt and peppee chips had never seen salt or pepper. Just a bit on onion and chilli flake. The chicken chow mein was dry and 3 tiny pieces of chicken in. Egg fried rice and prawn toast, orthough a little greasy was the only edible parts of the meal. On top of this my partner has been sick most of the night from the 5 or 6 mouthfuls of food she ate. The food was also late and delivered by taxi. Very odd. I am going to report to the food hygiene at council too as something is certainly a miss here. I went through all these concerns over the phone today and sent the photos to them. There responce was “Oh it looks like you eat 6 chicken balls and the satay etc” they couldn’t understand that 3 plates had been plated from the bags and majority of that was in the bin. AVOID!"

"Upon returning from vacation, the kids were craving Chinese food, so we decided to walk to this restaurant to place an order. The person in charge at the front took our order because the Chinese staff were too busy on their tablets. I was initially told it would take 40 minutes, even though there was only one small order ahead of us. They then changed it to 30 minutes, but it ended up taking 55 minutes!!! The quality of the food was so poor that most of it ended up in the trash. We spent £55 on terrible food and service, not to mention that the owner lied to me in order to keep my money. Save yourself the trouble and dine elsewhere."

"I ordered from Wan Choi for the first time today and my family and I were not disappointed. We have been stuck ordering limited items from most Chinese takeaway restaurants as we only eat halal. I was pleasantly surprised to find Wan Choi online one evening when I was scrolling though a list of restaurants near me that offer halal food. I read through quite a few of the reviews on google and found most of them to be very positive. I ordered though Just Eat and set a delivery time. I received a call back from Wan Choi just after they opened and they asked if they could deliver a little earlier as they were very busy. The gentleman I spoke to was very polite and professional on the phone and I agreed to the earlier delivery time. The delivery was made at the exact time stated on the phone and all social distancing measures were taken. Driver confirmed the name on the order so as to not deliver to the wrong address and left. The food was all well cooked, sufficiently seasoned and tasted freshly prepared. We ordered quite a few different dishes as we wanted to really try them out. I hope they are consistent with the service and quality of food as our first experience was great. We will be a returning customer for the foreseeable future. I would highly recommend Wan Choi to anyone who only eats halal but also to anyone who doesn’t care either way."

"We came here for my daughters 16th last July which was amazing and my dads 70th birthday this weekend and had a night to remember. The staff are friendly the food was delicious plentiful but what really made the night was the DJ and his music. I love the birthday sing along tradition here and the photos taken of the night. "Disappointing I asked for a table away from the draughty door and we were seated at a table which they then moved us from because they wanted it for a party of 4 instead of three. We were put back at the smaller table. Whilst we were waiting for our 3rd member of our party, three attempts were made to remove our third place setting in the space of 5 mins. We ordered a mixture of 6 dim dum and 4 mains and it was amusing that the serving team looked panicked about how to fit all the dishes on one cramped table they made us sit at. This amusement turned to more annoyance when they started hovering around our table more to try and clear off dishes apparently for our convenience so it was not a relaxing Sunday family meet up. The mixed meat noodles dish was TOO salty for us all and scallop dumpling was nice but the rest of the dim sum and mixed roasted meats were below standard of Chinatown, Wing Tai, Colindale’s JM and other Chinese restaurants I’ve been to. Won’t be going back."

"absolutely terrible, ordered last weekend (was waiting for my refund of only eating) 50 minutes late when we called to ask, one dame answered the phone then one man took the phone and told us she didn't know what she did when the food came it was stone cold, I would say I am 98% sure that the food was heated in the microwave, it went all in the humid. the curry had a strange dark oil that had separated from the actual curry. the food was taken over the whole box in which it came, absolutely terrible, very expensive and extremely bad quality, going somewhere else."

"Toro Noodles offers delicious food that I have enjoyed multiple times with family and friends. However, my visits have been less frequent due to a discouraging experience with one of the older staff members, who appears to be around 40 years old. This staff member consistently portrays a cold demeanor, never smiles, and barely acknowledges customers when spoken to. He particularly seems to exhibit disdain towards mothers with strollers, as he has indicated there is no room for them even when the restaurant is not busy. The lack of customer service and unpleasant attitude of this individual detracts from an otherwise enjoyable dining experience at Toro Noodles. It is perplexing why someone like him is employed at this establishment."

"Paid £12.95 for a prawn dish (take out), which contained 6, burnt prawns, along with 6 burnt bits of pepper. I called and explained how bad the dish was, they offered a refund but only if they collected. I explained that I had already chucked it in the bin, the manager asked me to fish it out, which I declined. So I sent the pictures to the manager and here 's his reply. I can see the peppers bit burnt at the edges . In regards to prawns looks ok as it’s only the tails that is burnt At very least I 'd expect some kind of apology, not a justification that this burnt mess looks 'ok ', really disappointing, will never order food from here again."

"Our experience at Papa's Wok was very positive. We appreciated the variety of meat and vegetarian options available. The veg spring rolls we ordered were tasty and we received an extra one, which was a nice surprise. The chicken dish we tried was delicious, with the chicken tooan standing out for its flavor compared to the dragon chicken. The gobi manchurian and stirring vegetables were both well-seasoned and enjoyable. We also tried the sweet and chili and garlic rice, both of which came in a box. The chili and garlic rice was tasty but not as spicy as expected. However, the plant noodles were disappointing as they lacked flavor and were quite bland. The portion sizes of the big box were generous and we were impressed by the amount of food. Overall, we had a great dining experience at Papa's Wok and would definitely order from them again."

"The food was very tasty with a good selection, brilliant salad bar to compliment the mains. Deserts were also plentiful with fresh waffles and pancakes being made. The resturant is in a good spot overlooking the Southwater lake and convenient for the park to work it off in afterwards (for adults and children . My only negative is that it wasn't as clean as it could have been. Crockery and cutlery not washed well so had to root for a suitable plate to use."

"The food at this restaurant was mediocre at best. Many dishes were overcooked and rubbery, with some appearing to be reheated. The salad was starting to go soggy and tasted off, while the noodles were both hard and burnt. Surprisingly, even the watermelon was dry, which is something I have never experienced before. Overall, it was quite disappointing, especially since we came for my daughter's birthday expecting a wide variety of choices but ended up with limited options. The price we paid did not match the quality of the food we received. I would not recommend this place."
