"Have wanted to try this takeaway for a couple of years due to good reviews and a love of spicy food. So finally ordered online last night. Went for the set meal for two consisting of Poppadoms and chutney, two pakoras, salad, two mains with...rice and nan. Had the Himalayan Lamb and Hot Khathmandu Chicken for mains and it was delicious. Everything was cooked really well. Normally with a takeaway you have to re-heat the mains if you eat the starter separately but not in this case, it was all piping hot. Only very slight criticism was too much rice and a plain nan instead of peshwari or keema, but overall an excellent meal. Well worth a try."

"forget the decoration, everything about eating. the best lamm karahi in glasgow there is no doubt about it and that with the best in Scotland. it is really hard to get a better tasting curry full hold. freshly made, fresh nan and red. taste and taste were divine. When I got through, I made a point to come back. overpriced restaurants could learn something or two from these youngs. service with a smile, also had the huh tikka, which is delicious. recommended and five stars all over the way. If I'm ever up the neck of the forest, this place is saved in my favorites."

"We ordered from this place 3/4 times, all good no complains with curries and burgers. We made an order the other day weekday at 10pm) and when they brought the food there was a portion of chips missing, the pizza crust was completely black and burned, and after a slice I found a black hair between the pizza base and the cheese, so i'm sure is NOT mine! We called to get another pizza and our chips, but whoever answered the phone was very rude, saying that they are all bold at the restaurant and it was not possible! And after 10 min arguing he finally agreed to bring a new pizza, but only if we could show to the delivery guy the hair... After all that mean arguing i did not want any food from them, who know they could have spit on my new pizza... Never again!"

"I ordered a tandoori full chicken for including the delivery and service charges , the menu said that full chicken comes with rice and salad and it takes minutes . the minutes passed and more than an hour after that the driver came but he neither buzzed the intercom nor phoned me but he was pushing the main door like there was no buzzer !!! I opened and took the food only to find the rice was not there , the salad was only onion and lettuce plus one small piece of tomato ! and the chicken itself was not cooked properly ! so I paid all those money only to have a disgusting chicken and missing rice .Extremely not professional with a negative attitude and dont deserve even this one star . just avoid them at all cost"

"Got some chips with curry sauce just now on my way home from work. The curry sauce is more like a spicy, warming butternut squash soup. On chips it's a bit weird tho, not really what I expected, and they didn't really go well together. I'd totally pay for this as soup with some flatbread on the side, I think it would easily be a hit at a posh café, so do keep it on the menu"

"A group of friends and I visited Glasgow and stumbled upon this charming restaurant. I was impressed by the beautiful paintings on the walls that brought back childhood memories. However, the food was a letdown. We ordered fish pakora and chili chicken, but the presentation of the chili chicken was unconventional and not to our liking. The taste was also disappointing. The Gol Goppa was a standout dish. The chicken Chettinadu and prawn korma were okay, but lacked authenticity. The biryani was overly buttery, overshadowing the spices and fragrance. "I had booked a table for 2 as it was hubbies birthday. When we walked in we were warmly greeted and shown to our table upstairs. Please note there is a lift available). The chair was comfy and plenty of table room. The waiter brought our lunch menu and explained the dishes on offer. Please note they have changed the lunch menu to that shown on their site). It now a choice of three complete menu dishes. We ordered the meat menu and it arrived on a sectioned stainless steel plate and we were not disappointed what was on it. One section for starter, three section holding chicken, lamb different curries, boiled rice and chapatti. Oh boy was it tasty and we cleared our plates. We washed it down with a J20 and Coke. The bill was £25.80 to which £5.90 was for the drinks). I would recommend this place and for one will definitely be going back."

"We ordered 6 different dishes chosen by this establishment, and I'm sorry to say that utterly appalling was our conclusion. All three of us agreed that it was all practically inedible and disgusting. I was attracted initially by the fact that Nepali dishes were served here including mojo. The momo were inedible along with almost everything else we ordered including the nan bread which was so dried out, it was like cardboard. Obviously not made on site. We are amazed this place has been in business for any length of time. The on Y acceptable food we received out of nearly £40 of different dishes was the pilau rice. Very sad to report this, we has higher expectations. Avoid this place if you like good quality food."

"Sadly another Takeaway that had a great reputation and customer service but since new owns have taken over no so much service isn't good and owner doesnt understand that that he should remove items from his menu no raise the price of items and deals but then refuse to sell them i would rather pay to have new menus printed with the correct items and deal that i am willing to sell at those prices and not have to pay a fine for false advertising. But sadly it's only the latest of a sting of local takeaways in this area that have change owners and the new owns who bought the business because it was doing so well wont have the same level of custom as they dont seem to understand the things the previous owners did that got them those customer levels. Some rule for achieve this is. If it is not broke dont try to fix it. But to many these people think they know better."

"I hadn’t had a take away from Sonali for about 20yrs because I moved out of the area. However I’m back now I really fancied a curry tonight so went on line to find a take away that not only delivered but that I could also order and pay for online and Sonali Balti was the only local one that I could find. Delivery was stated as 60mins which was a bit disappointing as I was so hungry but I went ahead and ordered anyway. To my delight it was delivered 30mins later by a very polite young man. The food was piping hot and much more than I could manage, including complimentary poppadoms, so I have plenty left for another meal or two. The curry was delicious and just to my liking and the naan was light and fluffy. I will definitely be using them again!"

"fast delivery on time. peshwari naan was very nice. the rest of the meal was lacking in the complexity of the taste, the dansak was somehow watery, with a fiery chili after the kick. very simple/minimal use of seasoned, especially noticeable for lack/use of corrian/corridor seeds and cumin. Curry dishes were also undercooked and were not cooked long enough to develop aromen or textures together to ooze, as found in a good curry. I will not order again."

"I've used Neelams and was very much disappointed. We ordered few meal deals and order was served very badly. I think staff even don't know the meaning of customer service. Every meal was not served as per their poster in the shop. No sauce, no salad and even if deal says chips also part of the meal, no chips were served. I have to remind the staff for everything pointing him toward his poster in shop that there was drink, there were chips part to the deal but you have not given. Kebab and curry size was like a kids meal. Curry ordered twice both had a different taste. Restaurant was not clean at all. If they can't keep restaurant clean, their food can't be clean and fresh. The worst and most stupid thing was that whenever I reminded that you have not given chips, naan or salad as advertised on poster. He was laughing behind the counter. I'll never ever go there again.
