"Very disappointing experience. Website states that they are opening from 11:00. The wall and door was glass but nobody cared to open the door or welcome us. 11:09 I opened the door and asked are they open and they looked at me like why are you here and then they mumbled that yes. After being seated I stated ordering but the app is very confusing and stopped working after the 10 minutes. Many items on the paper menu were not on the app menu and there is no search option on the app. I forgot to add the drinks and due to app not working I just didn’t have a chance to order any. There was no service at all. No one came to us to see are we ok or do we need anything. I had three hungry toddlers with me so I didn’t have the chance to go and look for a staff. We were the only ones in there beside the staff but I noticed that the one waiting staff was busy packing delivery orders rather than attending us. I have been in Yo sushi several times but this was my first (and last time) in Cabot Circus. Baby seat was very dirty and had old food around the bottom strap. Food was good but service very poor."

"Sadly I think the party might be over for Yo Sushi. I visited the Selfridges branch on a Saturday afternoon and was seated after a short wait. Food was .. not good. I had vegetable yakisoba and the noodles were very overcooked and mushy. Firecracker rice that tasted of very strong stale red onion and nothing else. Vegetable gyoza that were fine average. Service is chaotic at best and staff were running around like headless chickens trying to keep on top of things. Whilst I was eating I saw quite a long queue form despite the restaurant area having multiple empty seats. When I came to pay, the server could not find details of what I’d ordered and asked me to tell him again so he could add it up. He said ‘I’m trusting you to be truthful’. Umm.. thanks? I’m not interested in short changing you, despite the totally mediocre food. I used to love Yo, but this was a sad experience and very different to previous experiences. Time to find something different."

"yo! has many vegan options, both sushi hot dishes, which means that it meets different people preferences. the unlimited miso suppe is amazing, the transport band service makes it a fun experience. the dishes are quite small for the price, but this is not unexpected for sushi they are good quality taste beautiful, although perhaps not as much taste as other places. negatiw are obvious that they also have a lot of meat dishes there are no vegan desserts, but overall would recommend to eat for a fast, fun place."

"this place is by no means cheap. but today I had to hunt myself the buttons, soy sauce, washabi and ingwer was handed over to me as a falsification of individual portion tiny baggies with no container to pack them. the strawberry cheese cake mochi was still served frozen in the inner (no it should not be ice) and from any bottom covered in cherry sauce the endless refilling of tee was impossible to obtain a refill. this will teach me to stay with bonzai sushi the next time, because yos staff seems too busy hiding in the corner and stacking to actually"

"I came here a couple of months ago, and I got the avocado maki (without mayo, as mayo is disgusting) and the edamame (without onions, because onions are also disgusting), and both were great, especially the sushi. The avocado tasted so good and the texture was good- it wasn't overly soft or chewy. The edamame beans were very salty, which I like but if you don't like very salty food then you'd probably want to ask for it without salt. For dessert, I don't remember the exact name of what I ordered but it was basically these chocolate rice ball things, which taste amazing. At first I wasn't sure I liked them but after having them a couple more times after, I've come to really love them. Overall I highly recommend coming here if you like sushi. If you don't like sushi, however, then probably avoid, as this is a sushi restaurant after all."
"I went to this restaurant for lunch with my sister and daughter, and we were really excited about it. Unfortunately, it turned out to be a terrible experience and I don't think I will be returning. We spent over £80 for two adults, but we were not offered any drinks. We had to ask twice for chopsticks, and then again when no soy sauce or ginger/wasabi was brought out. The server was extremely rude, not only to us but also to delivery riders arriving to collect orders. We witnessed another table complain to the manager about the service. Despite recognizing the bad situation, we decided not to complain and just ate what we could before leaving. It's a shame because I used to really enjoy dining at Yo and was even considering taking a cooking class at this location. Unfortunately, I will not be spending my money here again."

"Late night review, lets do this Ok so I decided to come along here as i was sooo hungry and needed a quick grub, yo sushi was the closet place for me as it was literally a few steps away from princess street tram stop. My aunt also thought it was a great way to treat me for finishing exams I went in with her and my cousin without a booking. It was near about and there was still plenty of seats. Honestly walking inside was quite a view as in the center of the room there were the chefs actually cooking the food, pretty much an open restaurant We sat at our table and decided what to order. I enjoyed the pricing concept as it was very new to me. Each item had a coloured sticker...read more"
"We all know yo sushi. I used to be a regular there and have frequented the selfridges branch 100s of times over the last 20 yrs. Yesterday will be the last time i will spend money in one of there establishments. Yes the sushi is not as good as a Japanese fish market, and you never fell you've had value for money but the menu is well rounded and its convenient so we thought we'd grab a quick snack. The restaurant was busy and the atmosphere was good. We were pointed to a table and when the server came over to ask if we had been in since belt service had resumed we explained we hadn't. He explained that we must pay for belt service and menu products separately? while we looked through the menu we picked a few dishes from the belt, there is now no wasabi on the table? so i left the table found a waiter and asked him to bring over the condiments. when he arrived i ordered a few pieces from the menu. the waiter then placed a card machine in front of me signaling for me to pay via card before recieveing the the food. I didn't like that, they never used to charge before you ate. Was this something they have put in place to stop people from running off? because they have no staff to serve correctly? i felt like a order number not a client about to spend £60-£80 on a snack. You can't charge extra for positioning and dining experience then provide no service. I then went to pay for the order in cash. I was looked at like a problem. The waiter explain it was yo sushi policy not to accept cash. This was not made clear to me before i sat down and there were no signs available at a glance. Im not a problem I'm a customer that has took hundreds of friends and clients for a quick fun lunch over the past 20 yrs. Take my money or comp the 3 small plates we had started. This is where the manageress was called. A nice lady who has worked there for many years. i tried explaining that i wish to pay cash and that i had no other payment method available. It was a very difficult conversation with no understanding compassion or customer service. She explained that i can't order anymore food and must finish my meal. I presumed this meant that the 3 small plates i had eaten were complementary? NO she then took payment in cash for the food on the table. Simply in shock we left. I hope the chain suffers for there poor decisions with there policies. Put customers before profits and the customers will come. Treat us like a contactless payment and we won't"
