"The new style Sunday lunch, which was NOT made clear through advertising or point of booking is a big let down from previous menu. Small starter choice, plated lunch with reheated shrivelled vegetables and served Luke warm. NO dessert included just brunch items like muffins to select. At £15.95 a person this is very overpriced especially as a Marstons restaurant adjacent offes far better value for money. After making a complaint to customer services, I am really disappointed by the return email response. We chose St Davids as a special occasion birthday meal choice and can honestly say I would not recommend to others."

"still good. we visited here a lot when we lived in york, both the “old place” and the newer ones where he is still today. when I was hoping that it was still good, I went to lunch with the family shopping and wandering around the city. Despite the school holidays and in the regular busy in all york we were happy enough to get a table without waiting. still the same old menu as I remember what is not bad! we had all the burgers, the portions are still as large as they were visiting the last, still as delicious as I remember. the service was good, all were very full!"

"before my naked famous concert there were some time to kill, so I went into the seemingly busy – and popular – fatburger in camden town. as it was on Tuesday, there was a special promotion with an additional plump with each burger. yes! "I recently received a delivery from Herbie's Slough, a takeaway that I have been patronizing for many years. Unfortunately, I was extremely disappointed with the quality of the food. The pizza was bland, the chicken goujons and ribs were inedible, with the ribs being undercooked, posing a potential food safety concern. Despite immediately raising my concerns after delivery, it took several days of follow-up before I was able to speak to a manager. When they finally contacted me, the staff member seemed dismissive, claiming that no other customers had complained about the food that night. "To be honest, we were somewhat disappointed in our visit meal and it was no where near as good as the carvery style sunday menu we thought we were going to get. There was not much choice at all for starters or desserts on the 'help yourself ' part and there was a shortage of desserts, only 2 to choose from a plain cheesecake and yogurt pot type desert. Also, no spoons available for the soup or deserts. The Sunday lunch itself was quite standard, nothing special. I enjoyed the beef but my husband wasnt impressed with the processed turkey he got. Staff were pleasant enough but we cleared our table of both starters and mains ourself as no one seemed to want to take our used plates away do we ended up putting them onto another table or on the bar! Only positive was that I had purchased a voucher so instead of £50, we spent just over £25. I most certainly wouldn 't pay full price for what we got and wont rush back for sunday lunch. Very disappointed as our kids loved it last time with the choice and especially the ice cream machine but this has all been changed and not for the best."

The staff, particularly an Indian man who seems to be in charge, lacks respect and behaves as though he is the CEO of a 5-star Michelin restaurant. The customer service is subpar, with staff seeming to be clueless and always insisting that they are right. Other branches of the restaurant chain are much better, and it is suggested that the Farnborough location should close permanently.
