"I was very hesitant about ordering sushi and having it delivered without seeing it first; so often places either turn out to be ‘sushi that’s sat there’ (alike itsu all day and not prepared to order) or sushi that’s freshly prepared and made to order. Well, this was lovely! Fresh nicely sized pieces with good quality salmon and yummy avocado. This for sure wasn’t prepared and sat there all day in a fridge with no doors. Would definitely order sushi from here again so great! The katsu sauce was amazing !!! (Next time I’d even order a pot of this on the side). The chicken with it was a little dry but the udon noodles were lovely. My miso soup was a tad strong, very salty so I diluted it a little and that was great. Would 100% order from here again. If you’re reading this now- do it!"

"we have traveled in japan, and we are serious fans of Japanese eating, but we realize that this means that we can be difficult to please because we have some knowledge of what is expected from a good Japanese eating. that was a good meal! the deep-fried aubergine in a delicious sweet sauce was particularly excellent, and the tempura garnel and vegetables were excellent. there are also Korean dishes on the menu. well done yoshi sushi, we're coming back."

"Very poor. More like a takeaway with tables. Didn’t have the options advertised on their website. Order via a QR code and pay upfront. No waiting staff- just servers. Food took half an hour to come and it all comes at once (starters mains) and then the drinks came after. Food was edible but nothing special. Toilets weren’t clean. I will never go back"

"Every time I have been here there is always something wrong, food great and senior staff members seem perfect, when sitting in and eating ordered a drink and a main dish, only drink arrived and didn’t order the main for us, we were in a bit of a rush so had to leave. Then when I ordered online for collection, someone had taken the ticket off and just left it next to the register which was rather annoying as I had to wait a while due to a busy Saturday. Food is excellent, 10/10 recommend, just a bit of a pain to go out for a meal and have to chase someone for your food. They were very kind about delaying my collection and gave me a larger drink."

"Myself and my husband ate here to kick off our honeymoon. The food in Sakanas was absolutely incredible! We had the beef teriyaki and Korean steak gambi with jasmine rice, and both were gorgeous. Steak was melt in the mouth, incredible flavour and filling. Not the cheapest but well worth what you pay. Nice atmosphere, could have done with some air con as it was very hot in there! The only criticism we had was that the guy serving our table had zero customer service skills. We didn’t get a name but he was the tall server with his hair up in a top knot. No check back to see how our food was, zero conversation, came across as pretty rude and didn’t bother asking if we’d enjoyed the food. It was a shame as some of the other servers were really friendly but we didn’t tip because of his service. Otherwise, lovely meal out! Would definitely recommend for the food itself."

"during the kovid we were forced to go to clifton instead of zanzibar and the experience on par we were obliged to go to the best restaurants in the opposite. noa ended on our radar thanks to a friend's recommendation and we came here twice in a week. eating was absolutely incredible. the highlight was the drachenrolle, I must have eaten four of them during a week. an unforeseen Japanese restaurant in a romantic part of the city and gives the best Japanese restaurant I have visited in the last 10 years. unexplained thanks to the kitchen staff."

"We organised a karaoke party for a group of 12 year old girls on Sunday afternoon 3 July and they absolutely loved it. It was the only place in town that did karaoke for kids and families. Our host Ivy made the karaoke room warm and inviting and for the girls it felt really authentic and special. There was plenty of food and drinks included in the price and all of it was delicious. The girls enjoyed singing their favourite songs, eating together and being looked after so well by Ivy and her team. Whilst the girls enjoyed their space we parents sat downstairs and enjoyed a tasty set menu box. I had the Gyosa with skewered veg and my husband the tempora which was hot and tasty. The cost per head for the party was good value for money and was very relaxed. Yes there was a 10% service charge which is pretty common now, and we were happy to pay it because we'd received such care and attention to everything. I'd recommend Obento for family, kids, parties it's a really fun way to share an experience together with good company and super tasty food. Thank you to everyone at Obento for making our party so amazing, the girls were raving about it !!!!! I've included a pic of the set up, this was before I added some party banners, balloons. There is a sunken table lit from beneath which looks great"

"ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTED! From the minute we got to the door the service was atrocious! The girl on the door has a chip on her shoulder speaking to us terribly! We booked an outdoor table and were places upstairs inside with the very loud music. We asked to move and were told there wasnt any space?? We ordered 2 bottles of prosecco and 5 glasses. We received the bottles and 2 glasses and the waiter walked away? After trying to catch someone to solve the situation we got up and left without even breaking the seal on the prosecco. We WILL NOT be returning! Hard Rock Cafe was happy to have us with actual customer service skills!"

"Tucked away in a basement on Strutton Ground, this tiny little establishment appears to be pretty authentic. Despite it being a random weekday evening, it fills up very quickly and by the time we’re heading up to leave, it’s pretty much full. We arrive a variety of elements to share and everything arrives promptly. The soft shell crab tempura is lightly battered, hot and fresh, but it does lack a certain wow factor. However, the selections of the different types of Sashimi we’ve gone for are all fresh and light and very clearly of the highest quality so we find ourselves ordering a few more of these to keep us going. The chicken gyoza is better than most other dumpligns I’ve tried, served warm with a very comforting and nourishing filling, they bulk out what is otherwise quite a light meal. Service is a little slow, with the size of the place, there’s only one girl busily running around trying to get to everyone, but the food is absolutely top notch. Worth going with a few more people and ordering up a larger selection!"

"Have visited this restaurant many times and always been impressed with food, service etc. Our last visit seemed to be not up to their usual high standard possibly due to being very busy. Food was slow to arrive there was a long gap between different parts of our main and the drinks arrived after the starters. "a real hit or miss that is a scandal, as it is the only good sushi around the soft bowl crab is good, like the sushi and the general standard of the food. "The single handily worst meal and eating experience I’ve ever had in my 42 years on this earth , on New Years Eve nonetheless. The issues are too countless to even write but literally from start not knowing they even had alcohol and not knowing the word vodka to the food , severe goes to the hospital allergy that we mentioned over 7 times and still came out with the allergens, to the incredibly non interested management this week place was an absolute joke. If the steak was world class I’d try to give more credit but it was on the lower third of all steaks I’ve had in my life and I had the best surf and turf option on menu. "If you have allergies, it's best to avoid Moshimo. Food safety standards are not followed, and the staff is poorly trained in handling allergen orders. The restaurant failed to provide a list of allergens, and the staff were uninformed about the difference between wheat and gluten allergies. When asking for a manager, one staff member rudely referred to themselves as "babe." The manager was unable to provide an explanation and instead asked the guests to leave. The restaurant's responses to negative reviews shows a lack of accountability. This incident has been reported to the relevant authorities. "Booked restaurant by mistake but decided to have a go. Lovely staff. It was our 22nd anniversary but reservation seemed lost. Cocktails were poor.! mine was served in a ceramic black cup and was half full with ice cubes,the kokokura? Dinner was ok its all about a tasting menu but selection was poor. We had to order a lot to be filled up, some dishes were extremely expensive ie:the duck . Not one dish was outstanding or memorable. Service was amazing i did not dislike the reastaurant but as a chef i was disappointed, I've had better Japanese food. For people with little knowledge of food then it's worth a try can't say I would be back."
