"Would have loved to give a 5 for the value, we had a chilli calamari which was really disappointing. However, there was some good and some great too. I decided to go for the fish cake with poached egg, the texture was crisp on the outside and soft on the inside, much the way I prefer them, the cake was nicely seasoned and the poached eggs nicely cooked and the whole thing very well presented. My partner decided on the Chicken Skewers with grain which she was more than happy with, not my taste. Now, the highlight the Kids Fish Fingers, not your typical kids meal, large fish finger which were mini Cods pieces So, in summary, don’t have the calamari find a child to take, take them to Mc Donald’s first and steal their Fish Fingers."

"Great service and environment, the interior is really spacious and escapes the traditional dim atmosphere. I had breakfast on my own and felt really welcome. The breakfast menu does not offer anything overly impressive but it has all the classics to accommodate different tastes; the food was well cooked and brought out almost immediately. The day was overly cold (big snow day) and the waiter didn't mind I was holding onto my Starbucks take-out-hand-warmer of a tea, which was nice. The place is decent and I am looking forward to a chance to visit again, hopefully to try the dinner service"

"Have been going to Bill 's since they first opened in Berko. Started off great, lovely food and nice staff but the last few times I 've been have been massively disappointing. Food looked like it was cooked by someone who was learning to cook for the first time and staff were not attentive at all. My scrambled eggs were the worst I 've ever seen, I could see chunks of egg white and egg yolk, looked like a boiled egg mixed in a blender. I showed it to the waitress and her response was 'that 's how we usually make them '. Will never return, there are plenty of nicer places in Berko."

"I really enjoyed visiting Spoon Street frozen yogurt bar on the Upper Newtownards Road, so was delighted when a branch opened in Belfast city centre's Ann Street. I visited last week and thoroughly enjoyed it, trying the dairy free lemon (quite tarte) and watermelon (sweet tasting) options which the staff told me were dairy free because they are fruit based sorbets. These sorbets have a richer, creamier consistency than traditional sorbet, being more like whipped ice cream. All the usual toppings are available ranging from healthy fruits to sweets and chocolates. I did notice there seemed to be fewer flavour options in the city centre location than at Newtownards Road. Perhaps more seating space and less dispensing machines. I will definitely return, but as it's now October, it may be the summer months before I visit this or any other frozen yogurt bar again. The novelty of frozen yogurt is beginning to wear off a bit for me. Also who wants to eat such cold food during icy winter months?! Fabulous when summer sun is shining, but possibly not an all year round activity. Maybe they should diversify into mulled wine over winter time..."

"The staff are young, very pleasant and attentive. The food is very tasty but the portion size is very small so I feel £15.50 for the chicken dish I had was overpriced. Unfortunately the dessert portions are small as well. I can’t remember leaving a restaurant before still feeling hungry. This restaurant also does not accept cash which was not explained when we booked the table or when we ordered our meals. There is just one small sticker on the door as you enter."

"Amazing food and service. We were greeted at the door and quickly seated at a lovely table. The food arrived very fast and was delicious. Good quality ingredients and well prepared. The friendly and attentive staff made the whole experience great. They even changed our plates and cutlery when they saw we wanted to share pancakes after finishing the savoury meal. Next time I go to Windsor, a stop at Bill’s for brunch is a must."

"We reserved a table for New Years Eve as it was always somewhere we wanted to try, and being a special occasion we were happy to choose Bills. We were seated by a friendly waitress who served us and was lovely. Drinks were nice although they had ran out of beer that was bigger than a small bottle, and they are costly for a bottle so small. The male waiter who took our drinks order just suggested I buy two bottles when I said I wanted a beer bigger than a small bottle. I noticed both steaks they had on the menu were quite fatty steaks, but I chose one anyway and chose to have it cooked rare as this is how I like it done. When it arrived, it was full of white fat. I thought maybe it was my own idiocy by choosing to have a certain steak rare, so I tried to eat it. But half way through the steak I had to pull a huge glob of uncooked fat out of my mouth and it completely put me off my meal. The waitress kindly took it off the receipt at the end which I was grateful for, but I still spent the rest of my night on New Years Eve being hungry as I hadn't eaten a good meal. Again maybe my own mistake, but no chef should send out uncooked fat."

"I've visited several Bill's before including this one and I've always been delighted. I didn't think a strawberry in my G&T (as advertised on the drinks menu) and a hot meal were beyond them but they had run out of strawberries (this was 6:30pm on...a Friday and there's a Tesco literally 4 doors down) and our cassoulet was stone cold. We had taken a friend there and had been crowing about how good it was, so it was very disappointing. However they didn't charge us for our main meals so that was, some consolation and I would go back, though warily."

"Bill's in Oxford is the latest branch of a chain that began on the south coast, in Lewes , with a café that was also a greengrocer's: not much more than a decade on, branches seem to be springing up everywhere. "I had a pleasant lunch while visiting Harrogate. The dishes were well presented and the portion sizes were just right. The milkshake was to die for! The restroom was clean and tidy, and the staff were friendly with fairly quick service. There were a few tables outside, and they have more seating available when it's busy. "Lush food, brilliant staff, cosy atmosphere in the heart of the city Bills is the perfect family dinner pit stop! We headed there after a day running round after the kids at the Science Museum, and as soon as we sat down it was like breathing a sigh of relief as we were made to feel so at home. Perfect for kids, packed full of interesting animal themed bits and bobs, the restaurant itself is like a magazine interior come to life, just cosier. Staff couldn’t have been more helpful. We we were lucky enough to be there for the kids eat free half term offer but even so it would have been great value for two courses any other time and their food was just as fab as ours. For us grown ups, chicken shawarma and meatballs were both plate licking good. And the apple and ginger mojito much needed after a day with two kids in town went down a treat! We will definitely be back! Highly recommend to other frazzled parents looking for a warm welcome for the whole clan and lush food to boot."

They were welcoming and went above and beyond to make our experience enjoyable, a true asset to the business. Me and my friend ordered starters and mains, with mine pictured here. The food was fantastic and reasonably priced for the high quality we received. We couldn't resist ordering dessert because the food was so good. "We made a reservation for Breakfast on a recent stay in York and were very pleased with our visit. I always enjoy the decor of a Bill 's, with its quirky yet homely flourishes. The staff were welcoming and immediately attentive. The food arrived promptly, was presented beautifully and tasted even better. They cater well to vegans and veggies alike with their 'plant plate ' fry up along with other options. Substitutions were allowed which was a nice surprise as I 'm not a huge fan of scrambled 'Oggs ' which were kindly swapped for an extra sausage. My partner ordered the Egg 's Royale and adored it. Drinks were refreshing and Bill 's gets a bonus star for supporting Blue Light Members, on this occasion we enjoyed a very generous 25% off our total. I would happily return, until the next time!"

"this place was visited for the first time today for the birthday of my daughter. we had a great breakfast here. I've crossed this place so often, but I thought this was a pub and never realized that they saw one of the best early pieces in reading. the road parking is closed today and therefore we parked at oracle and went from there. otherwise there are many street parking spaces on the hozier street as well as on the main road. the staff is very friendly and the service is very fast. Eat is delicious! next time, I'll eat here at lunch and I see that they have an amazing bar so I have to taste beer too."

"We had made a reservation but we were left queueing outside in the rain with no apologies or explanations as to why our table wasn 't ready. We were eventually shown to our table some 10 minutes after our reservation time. They were clearly VERY understaffed as there were empty tables everywhere which hadn 't been cleared and reset. The staff member who took our order was very polite if a little 'heavy handed ' when slamming the drinks and glasses down on the table when she brought them to us. The food was very tasty and arrived fairly promptly. We also took advantage of a 20% discount off of our total bill which had been emailed to me a few days prior. Overall good food but poor service which was disappointing.. Not sure if I 'd return."

"Booked table, arrived on time to nearly empty restaurant, guy didn’t know where to sit us so ended up by draughty door. Moved the table physically to be out of the draught and Nieve came along to take our orders. Thank you Nieve, you were the best part of this whole debacle. Starters Calamari with aioli, ok but not great. Mains seafood linguine and special Thai fishcake burger. Seafood gone over, nowhere near fresh, hope not ill as a result. After one mussel, inedible. Portion size small, but didn’t it all as so bad. Sauce bland, uninteresting, could do better myself at home. Thai Fishcake, fishy but not in a good way, chilis masked the unpleasantness of the whole dish. Side of flatbread, good. The best part of the dish. French fries good with nice quality salt. Wine overpriced and plonked down in a bucket without being poured by the same inept guy who saw us in. Please help me out to answer why this is so bad? Is it new owners? New chef? What? Nieve, you were great. Sorry but you could do better elsewhere. Really bad, don’t waste your money. Shame on you."

"from the warm white inviting lights and shaded chandeliers, leather and wood decoration, high quality tasty foods and friendly staff I would recommend this place to eat. first we were 20 minutes too late for our bills booking pulling two tired children along in our party. we had special nutritional requirements and had to be served quickly to make our theatre show on time after dinner. nothing was too much for this quality restaurant team. steak was in the mouth melting, children took Doggy bags of eating that really went well in the theater, even us a totally faux smug parent moment when other parents commented in the pantomime how well we prepare for our children in the interval. ha. thanks bills."
