"This was our first and last visit to the restaurant. My wife and I ordered steak that would have required a chainsaw to cut through. Our two daughters ordered meatballs but were instead served spaghetti bolognese. To their credit, they didn’t mind and accepted the mix-up. The waitress was polite and apologized about the steaks, but unfortunately, our experience wasn't great. One steak was so tough that it was like chewing on an old boot. We decided against dessert, not wanting to waste any more money. The only redeeming feature of our meal was the Stella Artois, which was perfectly chilled. We came to Birmingham after visiting Cadbury World in North Wales for a birthday treat, hoping to finish our day at a nice restaurant. Unfortunately, it did not meet our expectations."

"We haven’t been to a Frankie Bennys for years but called in on a random wet Sunday for lunch. No booking but we’re seated straight away, drinks order taken immediately brought over before we’d even gotten our coats off. We shared the starter for 2 which was really good, probably the highlight of the visit. The mains were quick to follow were really tasty filling. Would have loved a dessert but were too full, will do next time though. The drinks were refreshed during our visit, the staff were polite prompt. Looking forward to coming again! Dietary restrictions: They have an extensive gluten free menu on the back of the normal menu. It’s so nice to not have to ask for one specifically the options choices are plentiful. Would definitely bring our celiac family members here as it would give them the chance to feel included as so many other restaurant chains make them feel uncomfortable for their dietary requirements. "The restaurant was bustling, especially on a Saturday, so we anticipated a wait. However, we were pleasantly surprised to be seated right away. The food was delicious and the service was quick. We will definitely be returning!"

"great dinner here tonight. I find sometimes that the service at frankie and benny can generally be met and missed, but tonight I couldn't blame him. we were supervised by a series of servers and all of them were so friendly and polite. great value for money, as we had a good idea about the app. I thought I was only able to use 1 credit card for 2 free starters, but the waitress knew I had ordered a glass prosecco, and recommended that I could use this credit card too. excellent value for money in the children's menu."

"The speed of service was fantastic, food arrived quickly to table. Was a tiny bit disappointed with my soup and thought it lacked a bit of flavour but it’s hit and miss with chicken noodle anywhere you go. The sechaun chicken delicious and and the...chicken curry too. Good sized portions. If it was more socially acceptable I would have licked the plate clean! Next time I’m in the city centre I’ll definitely be back."

"My partner and I visited Frankie and Benny’s, The Derwen Designer Outlet Village, Bridgend for lunch during a shopping trip. We were greeted promptly and shown to a table but we asked if we could be sat near a window which was fine. We ordered drinks my partner had a Diet Coke and I ordered a glass of Peroni which didn’t look or taste like Peroni? My partner had lasagne which was satisfactory but lacked any real meat content and I had the hot dog with fries which I enjoyed. The food is basically pub grub at probably the going rate and filled a little hole until we could get home for tea. We wouldn’t rush back to any Frankie and Benny’s again and were disappointed on the amount of quality eateries available at the Village Outlet."

"My wife and I enjoyed the crushed avocado breakfast. It was delicious, and we appreciated that there wasn’t an overwhelming amount of avocado that can sometimes overpower the beautifully prepared eggs, which were relaxed and casual. One suggestion would be to improve the coffee temperature; we encountered similar issues at other places, so it may be related to the machines used for brewing. Perhaps they could ask customers if they would like their coffee hotter?"

"I recently dined at this restaurant and although the portions were generous, I found it to be a bit dirty. The burgers were decent, but not as good as GBK, and the pizza and pasta were just okay, not as tasty as Cizis, etc. Ultimately, a restaurant should be judged on its food, and for that reason, I gave it a thumbs down. It's a shame because there are many things done well, just not where it really matters. The restaurant has great decor and a nice atmosphere, with a kind of American Italian vibe. It is also very family-friendly with a great children's menu. The staff is friendly and attentive, and they offer good promotions (I even ate for free on Father's Day). Unfortunately, the main reason people go to a restaurant, the food, was disappointing. (Review date: June 19, 2011)"

"The adult menu also has a good variety and is generally quite tasty. We’ve dined here often enough that we’ve experienced a few less-than-stellar meals, but overall, the food is good. The service is very friendly, provided by staff members who have been there for a while, which is uncommon for chain restaurants. There is plenty of parking available, and it's conveniently located right next to the cinema. It's a perfect spot for birthday celebrations too!"

"Waiting staff were brilliant and couldn’t have been more apologetic. However they are fighting a losing battle as ‘just eat’ is obviously king as the kitchen NEVER Stopped the entire 2 1/2 hours we were there. The customers IN the restaurant were waiting an age for food and drinks but you can’t fault the staff the company wants revenue and they certainly had a big take away trade. That’s great until walk in customers get peed off waiting and don’t go there but to the other outlets nearby. The staff get the brunt of the Instore customers waiting 50 mins for a pizza really is shocking.when it came one was excellent the other average we only got ours as we complained. The manageress was excellent and couldn’t have been more apologetic but she needs a separate kitchen for takeaway orders or if it carries on the place will shut anyway! Great staff shame as they won’t get tips as everyone’s naffed off!!"

"The food at this restaurant is delicious and reasonably priced. I recommend checking out the offers section on the Frankie and Benny's website, where I found a £10 off voucher. The quality of the food here is similar to that of Bella Italia, but I personally prefer Ask when comparing big chain restaurants. "The experience was terrible. I booked a table in advance, but the manager said she had no record of my reservation and asked us to pay the higher price instead. When I mentioned the mistake, she said it was a system error. We were seated at a dirty table and waited 15 minutes before anyone acknowledged us. I had to ask three different staff members for drinks. The service was horrendously slow, and we ended up having to hurry through our meal because we were running late for a movie."

"China Star has been serving the Chinese food needs of Haymarket for a number of years. I’d popped in on a number of occasions, both for sit-in and takeaway . "We arrived early for our booking and were seated within 2 minutes. Excellent service from Ashley our waiter for the evening. The food was good quality and not too long to wait for it to arrive. We had vouchers to use for discount and Ashley explained it all in great detail to us. He was friendly and helpful and kept us informed of how long the food would be etc"

"I was called yesterday to say that they couldn’t deliver my food as there was road works and it would take 1hr and was trying to get a refund straight away as that was the only money I had left till today when I got paid. I was told I could get the food but it would be cold and I said no as I am not going to pay for cold food the lady I spoke to said it would take 3 to 5 working days then it changed to 5 to 7 working days and I was not happy with this as I then couldn’t order anything else as had no money left I also asked if I could get my order from another shop but there wasn’t one close enough I also asked to speak to the manager that I couldn’t and she went to call someone to try fix the problem and couldn’t solve it and she said I could call and speak to a manager tomorrow and I did but still couldn’t speak to manager and the guy was rude to me when I was explaining what happened and said well I should budget better and said is that all and that he has better things to do so I said to him that he’s being quiet rude and he said I was rude yesterday to the lady. Totally unacceptable don’t order from here."

"Heard so many good reviews about Quays gastro bar in portrush so called in on a Friday around 7.00pm. It was quite busy with holiday families however we had a short wait in the beer garden which was very pleasant and had a beer during our wait for restaurant. The restaurant itself was in contrast to the beer garden was very dark in fact the walls were painted black and ambiance not great for a dining experience (we would have been happy sitting in the enclosed section of the beer garden) The meal itself was fair to poor, my rump steak texture was not like it should be I had the feeling it was put through some sort of tenderising process and not great like a good steak freshly cooked should be, garlic fries were just ok. My wife chicken strips coated in breadcrumbs the coating so salty she could not eat them, I am more salt tolerant but they were so salty I could not eat them either. We are not people who complain and the staff were very pleasant and I did leave a tip. So Quays I have to say huge disappointment and will not return."

"I made an online reservation for 9 people through OpenTable and received a confirmation email almost instantly. However, when we arrived at the restaurant, they didn't have any record of our reservation. Fortunately, there was still space available for us. It could have been a bit awkward since we were gathering for Easter Sunday dinner from different parts of the country, but the staff was very accommodating and handled the situation well."

"we were not impressed by missoula and were actually disappointed as they were recommended to us. we visited the hottest day of the year so far and their air conditioning was only not on kratzer. we could not sit outside if we wanted because they had no sunshades for shadows and the outside was not well presented. we sat inside, up on the back when they tried to find the coolest place they could, but really this was only dark, lacking ambiente and was still too warm. we had booked an early table when we were in a matinee in the theater when we arrived the restaurant was quite empty, but they said we had to sit at the bar, because he was not sure whether the waitress was back from their break, I don't need to know that only poor service! we then ordered a drink and when our table was ready, nobody offered to wear our drinks upstairs. eating was ok, nothing special and one of the dishes we ordered was not correctly described on the menu and was actually powdered on bread. the service during the meal was basic with much to reach over people's sleep, a not very friendly server and no attention or discernment to serve. the bathroom were absolutely boiling, almost sauna, as they really had thought before and fans or got something, it was terrible. a very average experience."

"Went for dinner before going to a show at the O2. We were running late for our booking due to tube delays, but when we arrived the staff couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. We both had steak which was excellent. Would definitely go back again. Service was exceptional."
