"The steak was delicious. The service was a bit slow. I asked for thick steak fries, but only thin fries were available. The salad before the steak was confusing and some of it was brown. The avocado salad had too much lettuce and not enough avocado. The lamb was well-cooked, but I wish there were more lamb options available, such as lamb steak or grilled lamb. I wasn't a fan of the tandoori seasoning on the lamb. The dauphinoise potatoes were not the best. The duck and duck wings were tasty, but the duck was a bit too strong in flavor. Overall, I would consider going back because the restaurant was clean and the service was good, even though it was slow. The aged rib was incredibly delicious. I was hoping for a nice half tomato and a thick creamy peppermint sauce."

"We visited on the 27th December for a late lunch, our party was 5 adults and a 7 year old. We were sat in a booth- a bit of a tight squeeze and did result in some kind of elbow jousting game that we could have done without. We ordered our drinks (a must try is the strawberry and mint margarita which did take a while to arrive; this was an ongoing issue and most probably down to the fact that their very competent bar man was making drinks for the whole restaurant with 4-5 servers sending through orders all the time. Our food was amazing, we ordered a platter for 2- this is well worth the price tag and lets you try many different dishes without the headache of trying to choose! Our son had a burger from the kids menu which he devoured (all parents reading this will be well aware of how rare this can be . We had no room for pudding so cannot comment on these. I would most definitely recommend this restaurant for their food and drinks but would suggest to the management that they do a bit more training with their FOH staff to tighten up their service to avoid communication issues and a feeling of neglect."

"We find this a few years ago and it’s got to be the best burger I have ever had. It’s definitely the most expensive one I have ever had so it should be good for the price, and it is . Washed down with the Harrods 1849 lager ???? very nice. My daughter had the creme brûlée Oreo milk shake and it’s amazing ???? The service is great and the staff are friendly and helpful 5 stars . We eat there a few weeks ago there was 5 of us and we all loved it and said definitely the best burger so when we were in London today that was our first on the list for lunch today and can’t wait till our next visit to London . 10out of 10"

"okay, so last review I was partially critical because my pregnant ex-wife couldn't get a place or eat here and we both needed. now, a few years and another pregnant thing later, I have recently more time to try dinge and free time, but somehow was in the opposite to try. yes I had an edible and expected I would have an appetit for snacks, so ordered a full pizza and selected from the menu vegan mozarella, seasoned cauliflower, BBQ sauce, jalepeno, sweet and nduja vegan sausage. building a separate pizza is £11 and contains a 2 column system where they want a thing from the subsections of the column a and as many of the column b’s as they want. base was slightly dry and slightly rough texture, but must say the pizza was delicious and it is worth it. I am no longer so stuffed and enjoyed the flavored and subtle flavors of this very good and not too heavy pizza. my brother got a pizza with normal cheese and he enjoyed, but he said was a pretty heavy pizzamine was not hard and right. "What a fantastic place! We have dined on seafood from various locations and must admit that everything was incredibly fresh and satisfying. We made a reservation and confirmed it with the staff. Upon our arrival in the evening, we were treated with great care. The oysters from Colchester were a highlight; one of our guests claimed they were better than the ones she had in France and were exceptionally fresh. We enjoyed a wonderful selection of different fish and squid, which was prepared in a unique yet excellent manner. The salmon and plaice were also very fresh and delicious, and the sea bass was delightful as well! The new potatoes were excellent, and the chips were even better than what you find at most other places. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Overall, it was a fantastic experience!"

"If I could I would give 0 stars. Extremely disrespectful staff for a whole £15 which mentions a mix grill platter on the menu they didn’t give any platter or a proper mix grill they only gave one plate which was full of salad a few odd chips some rice and a very small portion of the chicken that couldn’t even feed one person let alone as a mix grill for two people. The burger was cold after waiting 45 minutes for the food so I asked them to reheat which they did but were rude and calling after me whilst I’m walking to the table. Would not recommend the shwarma burger at all the shwarma wrap was okay but too bland and plain no spices or taste involved at all. At that point I just wanted to eat my food I was really hungry after the long wait yet one arrogant small minded waiter came by to pick a fight with me when it wasn’t even my own food I sent to get warmed as had come with friends and didn’t want anyone to eat cold food. Anyways he came to our table specifically to pick a fight with me and ruin our food more than it was already. Absolutely disrespectful waiters not a restaurant in any terms downright sexist men attacking on us ladies that were on our own and think they get away with disrespecting women since there was no man with us. I don’t know if they were Muslim but if so then astagfirullah as we are Muslim too but know respect when it is shown and this was absolutely disgusting there’s no words that can explain how they made me feel. These words do not sum up how much anxiety and how much those stupid men disheartened me and tried to fight me for no reason when it was their own fault. The food was raw if you go then go at your own accord because the raw chicken will make you ill. Absolutely disgusted appalled and for the first time in my life it will be my first time and last time at a soo called restaurant but more of a takeaway."

"This place serves up some tasty dishes! I really appreciate that they make their own BBQ sauce and ketchup in-house. Even though I usually don't eat a lot of meat, I couldn't resist digging into their delicious meat dishes."

"we stumbled on a rainy Sunday afternoon over the bones of daddies and I will be back to any case. in a newly renovated corner has bone daddies a new take on a traditional Japanese restaraunt. the service was timely and consistent, but the most important factor that the ramen delivered was exactly what we hoped. perfectly boiled eggs, fresh pasta and the possibility of pork or chicken bones with a lot of drinks to accompany their trembling of choice. the only limiting factor is the price that has put us back a bit, which forces us to return only once in a past and warn us to order side. one of the best options for a meal in shoreditch!"

"We visited our favourite burger restaurant and once again it did not disappoint!!! We went around 1pm and was greeted at the door by Stella, very friendly. She informed us that it was card only and sat us down at our table of our choice.... Its nice to be informed about their card only policy before you continue. The tempature of the restaurant was lovely and cool too) Once we was seated Stella asked if we have any allergies or dietary requirements. I have a tomato allergy and she brought over a folder of all the allergies and explained what to look for. This for me was very good and very attentive, nice to see a restaurant take care of their customers and requirements in such a positive manner) My partner and I decided to go for there Gochubang Burger with Yokai beer. sweet chili and gochujang coated, buttermilk fried chicken breast, topped with homemade Byron slaw, drizzled with a Korean style hot sauce mayo and finished with sweet pickles, all in a soft bun) WOW! Just WOW!!! From the cucumber pickle side to the crispy buttermilk chicken it's was packed with flavours. Even the beer they served with a ice cold glass paired with it, balanced the whole meal perfectly! Callum checked in on us to see how we was and if we would like nothing else. The whole experience was just the perfect service. Compliments to the chef as well, very well presented in a good time too. Once finished we was stuffed!! But we just knew after Stella asked if we would like any dessert or milkshakes we knew a nice mint chocolate chip milkshake would go down perfectly! And once again it did not disappoint! Adding to the detail about this was that we wasn't rushed. It was a lovely calm and chill environment and we felt comfortable. Overall, fantastic place, amazing service and sensational burger! Thank you team Byron!"

"I had the pleasure of spending New Year 's Eve at The Reg, and overall, it was a positive experience. The atmosphere was inviting, creating a festive vibe perfect for the occasion. Despite the bustling crowd on this special night, the staff managed the service well. The restaurant 's ambiance is a definite highlight, striking a balance between chic and comfortable. The decor added to the celebratory mood, and the DJ 's music selection enhanced the overall experience. While the service was commendable, with attentive staff members, the high demand due to the New Year 's Eve crowd did lead to some delays. However, considering the circumstances, they handled it efficiently. The DJ played an excellent mix of music, contributing to the lively atmosphere. It 's evident that The Reg puts effort into creating an enjoyable environment for their patrons. Facilities, including washrooms, were in line with expectations. Given the busy night, maintenance was kept up reasonably well. In summary, The Reg is a solid choice for celebrating special occasions. Despite the challenges of a busy New Year 's Eve, the positive aspects of the ambiance, service, and entertainment outweighed any minor inconveniences. I would recommend it for those looking to enjoy a lively and memorable dining experience."

"I've been going to Oxford for 3 years now and in that time to be frank struggled to find a decent go to restaurant. I can now say with delight i've found my destination. I present SPICED ROOTS a little caribbean culinary gem. The fresh perfectly cooked food is absolutely delicious and gives off that home cooked by mummy vibe and is beautifully presented. The chilli and garlic prawns had my eyes closed Mark Weins style (if you know you know) so juicy with an incredible depth of flavour, the Trini doubles not only were seasoned to perfection they left you wanting more and the Jerk chicken spring rolls were an absolute triumph. For mains we had the ackee and callaloo Jerk Tempah (vegetarian) and the Jerk chicken. Both came with rice peas, plaintain and salad. Not only were the portions huge the flavours of both dishes were just mind blowingly delicious. Then we embarked on dessert and had the beautiful spiced rum cake and a selection of 3 home made ice creams namely Coconut, Guinness and the old Caribbean favourite Rum and Raisin, all recommended by the owner. It's at this point I feel compelled to speak about the rum raisin ice cream. I've eaten this ice cream on numerous occasions at numerous locations in Jamaica over my many years and I tell you no word of a lie this was hands down the best rum and raisin ice cream I've ever tasted, it literally left us speechless. So to summarise, this place has great food, great music, great service and a wonderfully charming owner who's totally invested in serving great, incredibly tasty, authentic Caribbean food clearly prepared with love. What more could you ask for. Fair to say it was meant to be. Uncle Jay."
