"Having never visited Portsmouth before we didn't know where to get dinner whilst visiting for my wife's work. Good ol' Trip Advisor drew this place to our attention, and boy are we glad it did! Service was friendly but attentive. Good knowledge of what was gluten free for my coeliac wife. All 4 dishes we had were outstanding. I particularly recommend the satay (perfectly cooked chicken) and the penang (such depth of flavour).. I doubt anything would disappoint to be honest. A casual but smart interior in a quirky building added to the ambience, and the prices were reasonable. Oh, and if you've got a bit of space at the end of your meal, try the triple chocolate martini you'll thank me! I'm just hoping we need to go back to Portsmouth again soon...."

"Good venue. But I don 't like the dublin late bar thing where there is no financial reason why but they put the price of drinks up after 12 o 'clock. Good sound and good venue. Bar staff are good at doing their job but maybe need to be more chatty friendly instead of business like. I know you have to give plastic glasses for pints, but I hate them. And they are never a full pint. I have heard the argument many a time. There is a different shape but same amount. No, there not. Price should reflect this. Especially when you 're getting a Guinness and it needs a head. But apart from that the sound is great and toilet facilities are great. Could do with a cleaner monitoring them during the night, though, as they got grubby towards the end."

"Service was unfriendly, my food was cold and we were stuck in a hurricane of a draught right next to the front door and when we asked very nicely if something could be done it seems they did not want to remove the door stop which was keeping the door cracked open. Nothing but water and juice on offer, no Jasmine or Green Tea and the bill which we had not requested was slapped down on the table as soon as we had finished eating our main courses, no dessert, nothing warm to drink, absolutely freezing cold, I was very happy to get out of there...never going back."

"Went for breakfast and despite 3 members of staff and only the ground floor open did not get served or even acknowledged by the staff. One guy seemed to prefer to stir a hot chocolate for 5 minutes rather than make eye contact. Eventually gave up and left wit still no acknowledgement. Not the first time this has happened so will never go again"

"We have supported this restaurant for the many years that it has been an Uckfield. I took my wife there a couple of weeks ago after a busy week to celebrate her achievements. We indeed told the owner that we think it’s one of the best Thai restaurants that we have eaten at. However the meal that we then had can only be described as terrible every single dish without a doubt had been in my opinion cook chilled bought it a wholesale warehouse heated up and served. There was absolutely nothing about the meal that gave one any sense that the cooking have been done on site. It was such a disappointment At the end of the meal the owner asked us if we enjoyed ourselves and we regrettably had to be honest to say that we didn’t and also whether they had a new chef because the quality food went from excellent to frankly unpalatable. The owner said that he thought the current chef which was indeed a new chef was better than the previous chef. Normally when a customer is dissatisfied a gesture is forthcoming but in this case utterly nothing this was the last time we will ever eat at this restaurant Absolutely shocking and I would avoid and tell everyone I know to avoid this restaurant at all costs"

"we are here last night and it was nice eating, friendly staff. we both had curry one was disappointed and the other was lammed and I can not recommend both of these dishes enough. the kokosreis was absolutely delicious and the cracker for the table when we arrived were fantastic. the beer was very beautiful and the music was beautiful and not too loud. the atmosphere was really nice and the restaurant was not very busy when we were there and so there was not much noise, which meant that our meals could be enjoyed."

"The restaurant is in an excellent location with a beautiful sea view. The food was amazing, the best Thai cuisine we have had in a long time. My dad even said it was as good as the Thai food he had in Thailand. The Thai curry and rice cost approximately £16, which is great value compared to another seafront restaurant selling fish and chips for £18. They also have a kids menu available. The ambience is lovely, the staff is friendly, and the restaurant is very clean and child and dog friendly. We will definitely be returning. Even the coffee and hot chocolate are worth stopping in for."

"A Thai Restaurant that doesn’t disappoint. Not only are the staff super welcoming and very friendly, but the food is honestly super tasty! Also I feel the pricing is spot on. Neither food nor drinks are overpriced. Especially for the Lilliput/Whitecliff/Sandbanks area, this is a great option with lots of free parking opposite in one of the side roads. The Chardonnay wine on the menu was very fruity and refreshing, the Squid (starter) was cooked almost to perfection, and the Spicy Fried Rice with Chicken (main dish) was full of flavour and very spicy! With the friendly and efficient service it is also no surprise to see and of course settle the service charge on the bill. Overall highly recommend if you are within the Lilliput/Whitecliff area! Great Thai food, great staff and a great little gem of a restaurant."

"Excellent place to sample a variety of elevated Scottish dishes. It is small dishes tapas style and we had dishes per person which was more than enough. The venison carpaccio and scallops were excellent. Each dish is very intricate and well presented which I appreciated. The roast potatoes come as a larger portion than expected so I would only order one for a group of The ambience and service was also good and the restaurant is in a nice location, calm and not too noisy and with a view into the kitchen so you can see the dishes being prepared. One of our party had dietary restrictions and they were very accommodating to prepare some of the dishes differently Loses one star because the desserts were simply not as interesting or presented as the main dishes which was slightly disappointing. Skip dessert and go for drinks or coffees instead."

"A real Thai food. I would recommend the fruity pineapple rice as they mix fry the rice so well that the rice can really bring the scent of pineapple exciting your taste buds. "I used to work in the area and this restaurant was one of my go-to spots. However, on a recent visit, I was disappointed. The food was just average (though the portions were still generous) and the service was quite slow. While I understand that the restaurant can get busy, compared to other busy places, the wait was longer than usual. In the past, I didn't mind waiting 15-20 minutes, but this time the chicken pad thai didn't taste as good as before, so it wasn't worth the wait."

"We went to the restaurant tonight to celebrate my 5-year-old's birthday, and he specifically requested bang and noodles. We were not disappointed! The staff was fantastic, very polite and helpful. They even offered to bring our children's meals out with our appetizers, which was a thoughtful gesture. The food was delicious and served quickly. When I asked if they could bring out a cake, they were very accommodating and even lit a candle and led the entire restaurant in singing Happy Birthday - it really made my son's day! "The food was disappointing; it honestly tasted like canned food, even though they present themselves as a nice restaurant. As for their vegan options, they only deduct about £1 for removing meat, without offering any substitutes like tofu. Essentially, you end up with some basic vegetables in sauce served with Uncle Ben's rice for £10. That said, it turned out to be a fun experience — my girlfriend and I laughed all night at the quirky kitchen and restaurant decor. We'll remember this memorable restaurant forever! Just kidding about going back for a second chance. Emma, if you're reading this, I love you, and thank you for making our restaurant outings enjoyable!"

"This place might be small but the food is mighty! Myself and 3 work colleagues hadn't eaten in Poole before and we were not disappointed. The food was delicious and plentiful. The service was fast and the ladies where very attentive and water and drinks were topped up quickly. We all had 2 delicious course each, with 4 beers and the bill was less than ninety quid, bargain! It's in the street behind the quay but I advise you book so as to avoid disappointment. Absolutely wonderful food and great service. Can't wait to go back next time I'm working in Poole."
