"Having never visited Portsmouth before we didn't know where to get dinner whilst visiting for my wife's work. Good ol' Trip Advisor drew this place to our attention, and boy are we glad it did! Service was friendly but attentive. Good knowledge of what was gluten free for my coeliac wife. All 4 dishes we had were outstanding. I particularly recommend the satay (perfectly cooked chicken) and the penang (such depth of flavour).. I doubt anything would disappoint to be honest. A casual but smart interior in a quirky building added to the ambience, and the prices were reasonable. Oh, and if you've got a bit of space at the end of your meal, try the triple chocolate martini you'll thank me! I'm just hoping we need to go back to Portsmouth again soon...."

"The decor had a good warm feel from the outside, and the atmosphere inside just complemented the whole experience. All the staff were warm and friendly with a joyful smile on their faces at all times, which was lovely to see. They were very knowledgeable and helped us make the right choices for our evening meals. It was great to have a little natter with them, without them dropping their high level of service to others in the restaurant. Their meal choices for us met our requirement and were absolutely fantastic. They even catered for my special request to add fried egg to the coconut rice, where my partner gave me a weird look, but completed the task at hand. My partner and I loved the rice mix, and the food was a gold star award on top of the Olympic podium. Thank you so much, team"

"Bar Salsa is definitely going to become a favourite place of mine to visit on a regular basis. I discovered it two weekends ago whilst exploring Soho, Covent Garden and Leicester Square with a friend. We were keen to catch up and so wanted to find a bar to sit down and have a relaxing drink. We were attracted to Bar Salsa instantly due to its vibrancy and fairy lights (very girly I know but they really would look lovely in the evening too! We went into the bar which set alight your senses. You just don 't know where to look! It has chic furnishings and quirky murals/paintings on the walls which were so bright and vibrant! Being a creative pair we were became very intrigued by the venue and took a look around downstairs. Downstairs was the 'club/bar ' area very dim let with an array of lights (even disco lights on the dance floor featuring different levels of flooring. It was so exhilarating; we instantly wanted to return on another occasion especially after we discovered they offer salsa nights for minimal money. The thought of dancing away to the Spanish club music soon became too much for us and we decided to return later on with boyfriends in tow (of course they wanted to salsa who wouldn 't?! . We ordered a bottle of wine to share which was good value for money. They also informed us that it would soon be happy hour and all cocktails would be at least half price! We were definitely staying! We sat in the outside courtyard in the sun which was lovely. The ambiance was great with people chatting away, we didn 't even notice the big, busy main road next to us! Happy hour soon arose and we ordered two cocktails at the downstairs bar. These were delicious, some of the best cocktails we had ever had! If we hadn 't had to have left to meet my friend 's boyfriend we would have stayed in there all evening! We did return in the evening but unfortunately didn 't enter as entry price rises after 9:00pm. Although highly disappointed by this we will no doubt return! I rated the Salsa bar a 4.5, we had a delightful experience but we are yet to experience the club and salsa.I definitely recommend any upbeat, easy going person to visit especially if they love music, dancing and cocktails!"

"We decided to reserve a table for dinner here because we were headed to a concert at Whelan's. We were so impressed by the food, service, and atmosphere that we would have been happy to stay the whole evening. The service was incredibly fast, even on a busy Saturday evening at 5:30 pm. "Service was unfriendly, my food was cold and we were stuck in a hurricane of a draught right next to the front door and when we asked very nicely if something could be done it seems they did not want to remove the door stop which was keeping the door cracked open. Nothing but water and juice on offer, no Jasmine or Green Tea and the bill which we had not requested was slapped down on the table as soon as we had finished eating our main courses, no dessert, nothing warm to drink, absolutely freezing cold, I was very happy to get out of there...never going back."

"We went to this restaurant for brunch on Sunday. Unfortunately, we only managed to get a table at 1:30pm, when brunch was about to end at 3:00pm. As a result, there were very few options left to choose from. The selection was quite limited, especially for breakfast items. The potatoes were almost gone, and there were no more muffins or potato buffers available. The advertisement mentioned that there would be meat and fish options for brunch, but the only meat available was pork trunks and small roast pieces. The only fish option was salmon to be eaten with bread. The sausages looked like they had been sitting out for a while. Overall, I would not recommend this restaurant for brunch."

"Went here last Wednesday night on the strength of their advertised all night early bird Sunday to Thursday. Only to be told when we went to order at 7.20pm that it finished at 7pm. After quite a lengthy conversation the lady eventually let us order off the early bird menu. However, what I found extremely infuriating was, when the starter landed on the table for us to eat, the manager came over and proceeded to ask us where we saw the offer- what website, saying he couldn't find it, and that we must be wrong with our information. My poor friend who booked the table was quite upset, as she felt responsible for ruining the night. He was quite obnoxious and I asked if we could at least eat the starter while it was still warm and that we would find the website when we got a chance. We of course did find the address- their own website, which he then told me he couldn't see on his laptop and only I could see that misinformation on my phone. It was an extremely stressful situation to be in and put a very bad taste in all our mouths. I would be extremely slow to return"

"Atmosphere was nice sitting outside. But value for money not good. Requested glass of prosecco and measure was shocking. I did ask if this was correct measure as I seen her use the last of the bottle of prosecco for my drink. She replied ' yes two fingers from the top ' Never heard of this before. I did take a photo will add. My rationale is everyone 's fingers are different sizes. My honest opinion is that is was nearly closing and didn 't want to open another bottle. If its a prosecco glass the best measure to get it the same would fill it to the top even if the cost is more, you know then the measure is right."

"We frequently visit Lyme Regis but for some reason have never tried Largigi until this summer. The Thai food is amazing and would say the best we’ve ever tasted! The staff are incredibly friendly and create a lovely atmosphere. I do prefer sitting down for lunch/dinner inside as the outdoor tables are a little small so best to book. It is, however, lovely to sit outside for a drink and a slice of their tasty cakes whilst admiring the stunning view of Lyme Bay!!! We will be back very soon!"

"My husband decided to take me out on a date night and asked me where I wanted to go. After deliberation, I suggested Thai Terre as we could walk there from home and had only been in there once previously so it was time to try again. We ordered the mixed starters, then I had one of the Seabass dishes and hubby had a steak dish with all the lovely Thai herbs and spices. Pudding was The Royal pot and Fantastica. Their menu has lots of choice for all tastes and dietary needs. The quality of the food was excellent and really lovely thai staff too. Its not the cheapest night out but it was lovely"

"Went early doors after work with my husband, for our date light, we looked at the reviews , amd were looking forward to authentic Thai cuisine, I ordered a mushroom satay to start; which was so hard it was inedible, however the sauce that accompanied it was really good, then I had the sizzling Thai chicken in Thai sauce, the chicken was 3 lumps of hard inedible meat, I Could not even cut through each piece which Made me feel sick, they sent it back and gave me the same dish but sliced chicken, still awful and tough, again the sauce was great, I didn’t eat any of the chicken just a piece of broccoli and cauliflower, expensive night And In addition the female that served us has an unwelcoming demeanour when entering, I cook a great deal of chinese, thai and other cuisines and wished i had stayed at home."

"Absolutely perfect. The food is delicious I'd say the best I've eaten anywhere in the UK. The pad Thai, spicy duck salad and the Thai mussels were all outstanding. Excellent value; if anything the portions are almost too generous! Additionally, the waitress was attentive, the food was served very quickly, the atmosphere and decor and good too. All in all... "We went here for lunch and we sat in bar there was a small additional restaurant area but we were happy in bar. A nice selection of beers ,food was ordered from a blackboard menu,my wife had the Thai red curry my wife said it was very hot which was perfect for her ,I had the Venison and red wine stew the meat was very tender ,we both agreed both meals were very tasty and as good as we’ve had anywhere. My only small criticism was that when my wife finished her food she pushed the plate to one-side at which the barmaid ask to take it away while I was still eating and was asking me while I had a mouthful of food if we wanted desserts Would we go back YES."

"I thoroughly enjoyed the whipped feta (very creamy, flavorful, good pairing with toasted flatbread). Cod cheeks stands out, beautiful presentation. Ricotta gnocchi and confit chicken leg are both good dishes. Unfortunately the dry aged rump fillet was difficult to eat as it was a bit tough, very chewy, and the overall flavor was bland despite it being smothered in sauce. The chocolate blancmange stood out, smooth texture, but advertised online with salted honeycomb on top. It did not have any as a topping, and when asked, the waitress explained it was simply an added flavoring and offered to give us the honeycomb topping. Overall very nice experience, helpful and friendly staff."

"Dim sum lovely had a couple of prawn versions, though extremely hot so let them cool down a bit staff should warn customers. Tom yum soups very disappointing we had the salmon one and the prawn one. In both cases the salmon and prawn had not be seared, seasoned nor marinated, so they were just plonked in the soup plain boiled, very bland. The soup base was OK but definitely not an authentic Thai taste. Massive dining hall we were the only ones in there on a weekend."

"I absolutely love this restaurant every time I visit Poole. It's a small establishment, so make sure to make a reservation in advance to avoid missing out.
