"The decor had a good warm feel from the outside, and the atmosphere inside just complemented the whole experience. All the staff were warm and friendly with a joyful smile on their faces at all times, which was lovely to see. They were very knowledgeable and helped us make the right choices for our evening meals. It was great to have a little natter with them, without them dropping their high level of service to others in the restaurant. Their meal choices for us met our requirement and were absolutely fantastic. They even catered for my special request to add fried egg to the coconut rice, where my partner gave me a weird look, but completed the task at hand. My partner and I loved the rice mix, and the food was a gold star award on top of the Olympic podium. Thank you so much, team"

Very nice little, well not so little restaurant, definitely worth a visit. Very good food, lovely range of cocktails and great seating area if you only want to drink. Recommended after dinner drinks after your meal, good music too. Highly recommend View menu

Service was great, but the food we had was mediocre, to be honest. It's not the worst Thai I've had but not even close to the best. If this place was voted best Thai in the area, then I won't be eating Thai in Poole again anytime soon. Was really expensive too.

Koh Thai has it about right. The quality is consistent and always good. The food is tasty and with banquet options with a fixed price per head, it saves the pain of splitting the bill when you are out with friends. Service is generally quick and polite. The Tamarind Duck is a favourite. Recommended.

Visited for an early evening drink with a view to booking a table for dinner. We were given drinks menus and instructed to take a seat; someone would come and take our drinks order....45 minutes later we were still waiting while staff were standing around chatting. We eventually left without a drink and without anyone noticing. Very disappointing service ; I'm glad we didn't book a table for dinner. View menu

The laksa and cocktails were both really good. The beef in the stir fry was on the tough side but the dish itself was very tasty. The food came out quick, but one of our dishes was forgotten. The staff were not very attentive considering they charge a compulsory service charge. It is advertised on the Web site that they offer NHS/bluelight discount. Apparently this is old news and they no longer offer this. It would have been nice if this had been honoured on this occasion, but sadly it wasn't. For this, I would unlikely return.

Amazing food. Sat on table for 2. Near the sunset picture. Food was incredible. Nice big portions. The waitress who looked after the table wasn't that great, very slim, dark long hair, .attitude problem. i felt like an inconvenience, walked away while having a conversation with her and then didn't acknowledge when i asked for the bill. Let the experience down which was unfortunate. Lovely atmosphere thou. Nice and busy. If it wasn't for our waitress it would of been a really lovely night. One thing I found weird was bringing your bill and card machine over at the same time. Barely had chance to see bill before card machined waved in my face to present my card.
