"Really underwhelming considering the good reviews online. The food was not worth the money, it was tasteless and nothing compared to authentic Italian food. Was offered bread and water to start but when the bill came we were charged for these (extortionately £5 for a bottle of water! the toilets inside were also trashed, it was an incredible disappointment"

"Food was good but it did feel like they were pushing the overpriced drinks and specials. Special was underwhelming and to this day, no idea how much it cost. Bill at the end was definitely higher than expected for the lunch we had."

"This is long overdue but we’d like to send a huge thank you to Manicomio Chelsea for one of the best evenings ever. Our wedding was postponed due to covid so instead of sitting in and being sad, we decided to go out for a memorable dinner on what was supposed to be our wedding date. The team at Manicomio were fantastic and went above and beyond for us. They even gave us a sweet congratulations desert and treated us like royalty. Now our wedding is one month away and we still talk about that amazing night at your restaurant! The food, service, everything was absolutely impeccable!!! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts and I HIGHLY recommend"

"Really disappointing meal out here. 6 of us in a subterranean booth, almost in the dark, no additional light sources and a point9 font menu is already a bad start..... once we’d deciphered the menu, using phone torches, attention from staff poor, no help pouring wine or water, service slow to the point of asking for the bread twice guys it’s the bread basket how can you be so slow with this? The tomato and red onion salad was a joke one small tomato and a sprinkling of red onion slices plonked on a plate and chilled, with no dressing or seasoning is NOT a salad and certainly not worth £4.50. The pizza featuring burrata I love burratta but am sure there should not have been ice crystals within. Effectively we’d have had a much better, warmer, brighter and less expensive meal, with far better service at Pizza Express. What a shame."

"that is a very funny thing to do when in london. prepared by the architecture and design, through the number and quality of the numerous boutiques, the food dishes that sell all of quality chocolate to dinner....and the mass. try to visit a weekday morning to have the best experience. they also try to avoid the perfumery section if they have asthma or do not want to overload competing and contradictory and overpowering. this experience let me cough about 15 minutes later and I have good lungs. the place needs a lot of strong positive ventilation, or about 20 less sales people spray scents in the air. Go on. each corner and each passage has magnificent displays and/or another view of the beautiful classical Egyptian architecture. even the elevators and stairs are a leak. one of my favorite places is her dining room, which is very large and round and is covered by a huge and magnificent glass dome, and grounded by a very nice menu and good eating. harrods is located near the w"

"Everything was OK but it was a pity we felt so rushed. It's hard to relax and enjoy what one goes to a restaurant for the food, wine and a friend's or friends' company. We were continually asked how we were 'doing'', usually in the middle of a conversation. This became intrusive and irritating. One of the golden rules of good service is that a waiter waits for the appropriate moment to ask if everything is all right if he must. Even when it's done with discretion, I find the habit obtrusive. A good waiter or maitre d' should be able to gauge whether customers are happy and being well looked after without having to constantly ask for confirmation like a needy lover. That said, it was clear that the staff were under pressure to conform to Covid rules and cope with the approaching lockdown. In the circumstances they coped very well. As our last hoorah before a month's lockdown however, our dinner was disappointing and depressingly average. None of this would make me not recommend The Ivy Chelsea Garden. It's a lovely restaurant"

"Huge Ivy fan, most people will expect the prices to be high, but I can assure you they aren't. The staff are all so professional and make any dining experience welcoming. The food and drink selections are good value for money and makes the idea venue for a business lunch."

"Took my friend out for her birthday, we arrived 10 minutes early and were told to wait by the bar. Our table was booked for 3.15 and we didn’t get seated until 3.20. Once seated we were left for 25 minutes before I had to call someone over to take our order. No one even came to ask for drinks. I’d understand if there was a lack of staff but the management were stood around chatting and the guy who was serving our section was busy. The food came which was great but again no one came back to check on us, we had an afternoon tea and the tea ran out after one cup each. Again I had to call someone over after trying to get someone’s attention. At this point I was embarrassed as I wanted a nice experience for my friend and it wasn’t, it was slow, messy and the staff were inattentive. My local Ivy in Cardiff has never ever given me an experience like this so I was upset that I didn’t just take my friend there. On a side note, I was told previously that the Ivy is a dog free zone they let a dog into the restaurant in someone’s pram so is this not a country wide rule? Overall I wouldn’t visit again, I’ll stick to my local Ivy. The staff were slow and nothing about the trip was worth the money or special."

"Our visit didn’t start out so well as we struggled to find the entrance! Some better signage would be good, especially as the doors aren’t marked and look more like a goods entrance! We were seated right opposite one set of doors and since they were automated we were blasted with cold air for a while each time someone came in or left. We thought it wasn’t worth asking to move since it was busy and now where better to put us, and that things would settle once the lunch covers were all in, but then people started cutting through to use the restaurant as a short cut to get into the hotel! This just spoiled the ambience for us as we were cold and ended up watching the door. The staff were however lovely and the food and drinks great. I realised afterwards that my main was listed on the menu (in its title) as having walnuts with it, but I didn’t get any with my dish so that was a shame (I’d have mentioned if I’d realised at the time). The Jerusalem artichoke soup, ricotta and truffle ravioli, and olive oil martini were our highlights, and we’d recommend."

"Chain restaurant of impeccable quality. Young friendly staff, rustic decor, outstanding menu and good ambience. The seats are comfortable and well spaced out. The bathroom facilities are elaborate and eccentrically decorated, but are very clean. Unfortunately the bathroom facilities are downstairs which can be a issue if you are not mobile or are frail. The food is of exceptional quality. Reasonably priced. And presented like works of art. The chefs are excellent. You will never have a disappointing experience at this restaurant. Everyone should come here. Opening hours are extensive and the menus cater for this. This is one of the best restaurants in london."

"We absolutely loved our Tozi experience. What a great find in Victoria. We ordered 5 dishes (cichetti italian tapas) and it touched the spot! Freshly made, served hot to the table, quality ingredients and selection. Not your traditional Italian, so able to taste some new dishes. Everything was delicious. The staff are very friendly and efficient, credit to the delightful Mirco and his team. The restaurant is spacious and and a really comfortable experience. We will be back for sure. Well done Team Tozi!"

"The Ivy Brasserie chain is consistently good and so was this branch. However we found the reception staff unaccommodating the table they'd allocated us was very close to other tables, in a noisy, draughty part of the restaurant they could easily have re seated us, with lots of other tables empty, especially as we were only going to be 75 minutes, a pre theatre booking. The food was good (though expensive for what it is over £5 for salted bread?! , the decor lovely, very Christmassy. However the noise levels were high and the tables all crammed too close to each other for the sake of losing one table, the place would feel so much better. Not all the Ivy Brasseries do this."

"Terrible experience. Table booked for 9pm but when we arrived it wasn't ready. They led us to the bar to wait there but the bar was full. So they seated us in the DJ booth for over 15 minutes. There were menus on the tables but no one came to take our order. The music was blasting so we couldn't have a conversation. Eventually we got our table. We ordered and tried to get out of there as quickly as possible as we couldn't talk. Why management are trying to turn a restaurant into a club is beyond me. There were a lot of older folks around and I don't think that was their vibe either. Food was mediocre at best. Wouldn't order the burger again."

"We had a wonderful belated celebration for my sister's birthday at this restaurant. The strawberry decorations outside were truly amazing, and the staff's aprons were absolutely brilliant. We enjoyed two glasses of prosecco, a burger with chips, and a shepherds pie. Without even asking, a bottle of Worcester Sauce appeared, which was a nice touch. The staff were incredibly charming and we definitely recommend this place."

"terrible disappointing. after reading all the perfect reviews we have booked a table in the ferrari for the mother's dinner. the first impressions were good, the restaurant has very casual and relaxing atmosphere, the waiting staff was attentive and friendly. unfortunately we felt really disappointed by eating. the food was bland and under seasoned. three of us had different meal times, but everything was simply tasteless and clearly under our expectations of an average Italian restaurant. but the worst part began after dinner. my daughter, who had a garnel salad, pork steak, tiramisu and apple juice, became seriously ill with food poisoning after the meal. she was so bad that...read more"

"came here for a birthday dinner absolutely delicious fresh food starter until dessert. my pollo milanese was tender and the pasta sauce was really enjoyed for all others, and also restaurant is quite loud, but felt extreme. authentic in contrast to some Italian restaurants today, which seem very superficial and fake. come back!"

"Very disappointing experience. We decided to have the set menu and both chose the minute steak. We ordered one medium/rare one well done. When they arrived neither was well done and both were very tough and chewy. They looked more like rump steaks then minute steaks. When the waiter asked if we had enjoyed the meal we said we were disappointed with the steaks and asked him to ask the chef what he thought to the portions we left and perhaps comment. After this the waiter just ignored us and we had to ask another waitress to serve us our desserts. When paying we repeated our disatisfication to the cashier and were offered a refund of the price of the vegetables but no real apology. I cannot say we are enthused about having to pay extra for chips and vegetables especially on a set menu. It seems strange that the set menu only includes the 'meat ' and nothing else (apart from 6 cherry tomatoes on a vine! Both the starters and the desserts were fine but the main course let it down. This is the first time we have visited a MPW restaurant and following this experience would not seek to return to either this or another venue. We had hoped that this would be a 'special evening ' however we were left feeling very disappointed. As others have commented perhaps MPW needs to pay a visit to stir things up!"
