"It was 2pm. The restaurant was clearly busy which isn’t their fault, in fact usually a good sign. However, where our experience failed was the fact we were stood, visibly, at one of two entrances for over fifteen minutes with no one to tell us how long the wait might be (bearing in mind this was at the immediate top of a steep flight of stairs and others were behind us) and then when we did get seated we were sat for fifteen minutes not getting any attention from clearly overstretched waiting staff and witnessing other tables experiencing the wrong order but then they were also getting forgotten too. We decided to leave as this did not bode well for a relaxing eating experience with a family. It would appear the kitchen and serving staff were overstretched and not being managed particularly well at this busy time. Lack of communication is always a bad experience for customers, especially with a young family. I hope in the future this place can get it right during busy periods as the location and facilities seemed great."

I had the most delicious Sunday lunch in a long time at this restaurant. The prawns were tasty, the beef was cooked perfectly, and the roast potatoes and vegetables were excellent. The staff were friendly and the atmosphere of the restaurant was beautiful. I will definitely be coming back.

A lunch pitstop in Saturday, this place is in a a lovely setting overlooking water. Service was prompt and attentive. Food was tasty and very good value. My chicken shawarma was nice (although I was surprised it was actually a cold sandwich) and the French fries were so good! Recommend if you are ever in Cardigan Bay.

The buffet breakfast was not as impressive as the made-to-order options, which was a bit disappointing. However, the highlight of the experience was the staff, who were incredibly attentive and delightful. Sue-Ann, who was in charge of the front of house, was extremely helpful, considerate, caring, efficient, and reliable. She provided top-notch service.

The staff at the restaurant were extremely friendly. The establishment was exceptionally clean. The food was fantastic, even though initially I was concerned about the prices on the menu. However, the quality of the food definitely justified the cost. The staff were not constantly interrupting to check on us, allowing us to enjoy our meal and conversation in peace. I would definitely return to this restaurant without hesitation.

Just booked in for Sunday lunch on a recommendation. Staff were amazing as was the ambience. Meal was stacked on one plate, which was interesting, not had that before. The beef was amazingly tender and tasty. Feedback for the Chef....... Dauphiniose potatoes were too Heavily salted. Parsnips were unfortunately burnt and the broccoli was almost too difficult to cook. Having said all that I would go back. Sorry, not the best Sunday lunch I've had.

This small(ish) cafe/restaurant is a modern building on the walls of Cardigan Castle with entrances from the castle and the street. It is open for breakfast, brunch and lunch with all food locally sourced and produced on-site. I had a veggie 'baguette ' served in a large local roll which had Glamorgan sausages, portobello mushrooms and a fried egg it was all delicious, but very filling! My partner had the full Welsh breakfast with sausage, bacon, egg and beans with toast. A range of teas and coffees are available as well as cold drinks. As it is open for lunch and snack there are also cakes and pastries available.
