"We booked this restaurant as trip advisor had scored highly and we were visiting daughter who is at Uni there. We made a reservation for for lunch for four people. When we arrived we were met with a rather miserable looking Manager. I asked...if we could take a window seat(both were empty) we were met with a flat No We were then shown to our table at the very back of the building. We ordered starters and mains. Pate. Whitebait and prawn cocktail for starters. Roast beef and burger for main. The service from our assigned waitress was lovely. However the food itself was nothing other than terrible. Over priced. Considering ours was one of the first plates served. As opened at Midday was shocking. Location Decor fantastic. Manageress needs to take a leaf from waitresses books. Food needs to be priced accordingly."

Pleasant staff, good food, and excellent beer. The pork belly was a little over-done but by no means bad, the sausage mash was excellent, and the atmosphere was pleasant and felt covid-safe.

Popped in here after getting too cold walking the prom. Had a warm welcome, sat by the fire and ordered a very tastey Mulled Cider (and brandy to throw into it) and it was lush. Great view of the storm outside and friendly chat with...the locals.

Had an amazing meal here, food was first class and cooked amazingly, I had lamb roast with potatoes n greens and my friend had fish with risotto, afterwards a fruit crumble, first class I'd highly recommend if you need a nice eating place in Aberystwyth,...come here. Thanks.

We had a lovely meal here... of us stocking up' after a heavy new year celebration food was great (whitebait and burger I had both very good but everyone commented how good the food was). I very much enjoyed the Beavertown on...tap too! Was certainly just what the doctor ordered. Will be back no doubt.

Visited our daughter in Aberystwyth yesterday and booked a table at the Glengower for lunch. We asked for quiet seating as one of our rescue dogs is still learning to socialise and they provided this, so thank you, appreciated! Staff were lovely and so was...the food. We had halloumi burgers and steak pie which were very tasty. We would definitely recommend and we hope to visit again next time we are in Aber.

The Christmas menu choices are lovely with interesting details and flavours. Service was fast and We were not hurried to eat and leave, as the bookings were well spaced out. The staff were really friendly and attentive, even joining in with the fun quiz we...bought along and as we left a group of them thanked us for our visit and wished us happy Christmas. There is even free parking outside on the street. I will definitely visit again

I had cawl costing nearly When it arrived it had a few pieces of carrot and lumps of potato floating in a tasteless fluid. The lamb squares were small and from previously cooked meat. The bread was not fresh and only one slice. A...horrible experience. My husbands pie was overcooked and only served with chips and mushy peas. For the price a few fresh vegetables would have made the meal better value. Far too complacent about quality and very poor value. Such a pity as with more care and attention this could be a good place to go.
