"I had Focaccia sandwich which was not bad, a little too oily for my taste but flavours were nice. Due to Christmas they didn 't operate from normal menu so not all vegan options were available but staff was accommodative and made some food for us. Juices were fresh and lovely. Menu is in german not aware if English version is available, I would always double check with the staff if something is vegan and make them aware you only want vegan stuff as we found some of the staff was not as in-tune to the whole thing of not eating meat ... trust is good, control is better!"

"Delicious fondue, and excellent service! They have two different restaurants in the Hotel Victoria, separate even from their Bar. If you are looking for fondue, specify that. This review is actually for their other restaurant, Kirchner's Stubli, which does not have a listing, but is where you can enjoy the fondue. I was happy to learn that they (temporarily) had gluten free bread, but I guess that was only for the World Cup of cross-country skiing that was in Davos when we were. I hope they will offer it all the time to accommodate people with allergies. But even without, I found the cheese fondue with just vegetables for dipping to be fine for my gluten allergy. Thank you for some of the best and most welcoming service we received while in Davos!"

"The two of us came in, saw the sign with the daily menu and the bottom two lines “Pulled Pork Burger, CHF 24.50”. That's what we wanted and that's what we ordered. Then came a planted story with a lot of salad (I haven't appreciated Chabis for the last fifty years, and I still don't today). The taste of the planted thing was okay (hence two stars for the food), but I was quite disappointed I was expecting something different. Imagine if it were the other way around. It says “Planted Vegi Burger” and it contains pork, beef, chicken, fish or something like that. A drama with a reader reporter in a well known newspaper! It's also comparable if, for example, I buy a jacket with down lining and it is filled with cotton wool instead. Commonly you would say... (everyone can think of a word here). Dear restaurant, please write down everything you deliver. Today just left out the chicken and pork, as neither was included. It shouldn't be called schnitzel or anything else (for another time), plant based dishes should have their own terminology. Here it would simply have been called “planted curry kebab pulled burger”. It would have been at least as perfect a fit. And last but not least: a pulled beef/pork burger on your menu would be really great!"

"Nunja, unsere Zufriedenheit mit dem Hotel war gemischt. Wie überall war es auch hier so, dass die Rollen und ihre Darsteller letztendlich den Ausschlag geben. Das Zimmer war soweit in Ordnung, ausser, dass unterm Bett noch die Schokopops von irgendwelchen Vorgängern vor sich hin gammelten. Mit dem Essen waren wir, ebenso wie mit dem Service gemischt zufrieden. Es gab in dem Serviceteam einen Chef de Rang, der seinen Job nicht nur wirklich verstand, sondern auch mit Hingabe ausführte. Er war für den hinteren Bereich des grossen Saals verantwortlich. Bei ihm fühlten wir uns wirklich sehr gut aufgehoben. Leider hatten wir an zwei der vier Abende andere Tische sowohl für das Frühstück als auch Dinner. Die jüngere Bedienung hatte ihren Kopf ich weiss nicht wo, aber selten beim Service. Drei Mal dasselbe beim selben Kellner bestellen und dann kam es immer noch nicht. Einmal hat einer der jungen zum Frühstück eine Platte (es wurde alles Serviert) gebracht, die wohl kurz zuvor von einem anderen Tisch abgeräumt wurde. Zumindest machte diese im Gegensatz zu den anderen Malen wo wir frühstückten genau diesen Eindruck auf uns. Das Hotel war wohl trotz Corona recht gut ausgebucht und, so hatte ich den Eindruck, waren Teile des Personals etwas überfordert. Ich würde trotzdem nochmal einen Versuch wagen."

"Excellent « mountain style » restaurant on top Schatzalp. The team was very nice and welcoming. The restaurant offers a lot of traditional meal like soup and rösti... and last but not least has a fantastic selection of home made cakes!!!"
