"Brought my parents here one afternoon as my third visit in weeks this place is truly unmissable. An incredible range of cakes and tray bakes, everybody will find something they love. We shared black forest gateau, chocolate mousse cake and raspberry and marscapone...cake. All three were incredible. The atmosphere inside the cafe is amazing beautiful setting with chandeliers and traditionally dressed waitresses. Can't wait to come back."

"Das Essen ist sehr lecker und man merkt, dass hier mit frischen Zutaten gekocht wird. Der Service war sehr zuvorkommend und man wartet nicht lange auf seine Getränke. Wir hatten einmal das überbackene Gyros in Metaxa Sauce und einen Grillteller. Als Vorspeise gab es Zaziki, welches ebenfalls super lecker geschmeckt hat. Zum Ambiente kann ich nicht so viel sagen, da wir auf der Terrasse gesessen haben. Diese ist nicht sonderlich ansprechend, hier könnte man schon etwas mehr daraus machen. Dieses Restaurant kann man aber mit ruhigen Gewissen weiterempfehlen! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 3"

"We were there for a business gathering. The services are very friendly, but the food for vegetarians are very bland, lacking of spices. We know this place is not really for vegetarian, but some of our colleagues who had meat also said there food was...just Okay but not great. "We're a bit late with our review, but better late than never (sorry Haus im Sack Team My husband and I chose Haus im Sack for our last year's wedding reception in March and what a fantastic choice we made. The staff is...amazing, the owner SANDRA I cannot praise enough!! She is just marvelous, what a genuine soul she possesses, a smile that could light up the entire planet, her patience and professional style unlike no other, nothing is impossible for her, she always went out of her way to make sure everything marched perfectly on the day of. All of these virtues and qualities that she possesses, made our wedding day beyond memorable!! THANK YOU SANDRA FROM OUR HEARTS EIN GANZ HERZLICHEN LIEBEN DANK!! The room and table were so beautifully setup and decorated, exactly how my husband and I had enviosoned it and explained to her. The food was indescribably delectable!! "What happend to my Fritz? Leider muss ich immer wieder feststellen, dass im laufe der Jahre Fritz Mitte nicht mehr das ist was es einmal war. Das die Preise steigen verstehe ich zu 100% aber das sowohl die Portionsgrößen als auch die Qualität stetig schlechter wird , finde ich nicht ok. Mittlerweile bekommt man gefühlt nur noch eine halbe Wurst verglichen mit dem ursprünglichen Produkt) auch die Menge der Pommes ist bedeutend geringer. Des Weiteren ich hoffe man kann es auf dem Foto erkennen) habe ich heute eine Wurst erhalten, die einfach nur trocken war und wirkte als wäre sie das 3. mal aufgewärmt oder halt lange warmgehalten worden. Es tut mir echt weh mit ansehen zu müssen was aus dem einst glorreichen Fritz Mitte geworden ist. :"

"we were at the best time between and watch the only guests in the big restaurant. Around us it was very quiet, something discreet music could have upgraded the atmosphere somewhat. the hotel still spreads a real ddr charme, good for nostalgic. we had received an expensive voucher and tried to find out the best from the restaurants specified. according to the reviews in the internet was the "black bear" in jena still the best, although we know in thunder much better houses with good price performance ratio"

"Enjoyable family night out on a sultry summer evening. Really enjoyed the traditional food (large portions! do ask for half-size portions for the kids - in fact, our kids barely managed those!), the quaint music-theme decor and the friendly service. We had the Sülze (jellied meat dish) and Brathering (which I had expected to be hot, but it's served cold/pickled. The kids had a noodle dish and the tomato soup - both were really good. Recommended!"

"I had ordered me beef stew. When my plate arrived, I've seen that my food wasn't really warmed. But I didn't want to say anything because it was unpleasant to me after a few tormented bites of the rock-hard semmelknödeln with a little cold sauce, I asked if they could make it warm again.. After warming: Gulasch and Rotkraut was very tasty, but the semmelknödeln were unstable rock hard.. I didn't want to talk about it anymore, so I offered it to my family and they started to laugh and wonder what was served to me. That was my first time in the DAHEME."

"Der letzte Besuch und die gemischten Erfahrungen. Meine letzte Bewertung vom September 2023 sag anders aus. Insgesamt gebe ich der Erfahrung 3 von 5 Sternen, da das Essen hervorragend war, der Service jedoch deutliche Schwächen aufwies. Essen: 5 von 5 Sternen Das Essen war wirklich ausgezeichnet. Sowohl die Vorspeisen als auch die Pizzen waren geschmacklich top. Die Zutaten waren frisch, die Pizzen knusprig und gut belegt. Besonders hervorzuheben ist, dass alle drei Pizzen auf den Punkt gebacken waren und die Vorspeisen ebenfalls sehr lecker zubereitet wurden. Hier gibt es nichts zu bemängeln. Service: 2 von 5 Sternen Leider hat der Service den Gesamteindruck stark getrübt. Zunächst wurden uns falsche Limonaden gebracht, obwohl wir explizit nach den Sorten gefragt hatten. Es stellte sich heraus, dass unsere Bedienung noch in der Ausbildung für einen anderen Standort war, und eine andere Bedienung musste einspringen, um das Problem Getränke zu beheben. Das ist verständlich, aber dennoch ärgerlich. Auch bei den Vorspeisen gab es einen Fauxpas: Das Brot wurde vergessen und erst nachgeliefert, nachdem wir darauf hingewiesen hatten. Solche Kleinigkeiten summieren sich leider und hinterlassen einen unprofessionellen Eindruck. Der größte Kritikpunkt kam jedoch bei der Bezahlung: Uns wurde mitgeteilt, dass wir einen Aufschlag von 10 auf das gesamte Essen zahlen müssten, weil wir eine Pizza einpacken lassen wollten. Nachdem wir nachgefragt hatten, wurde das ganze relativiert mit dem Worten. Ich wollte nur einen Witz machen. Der Service trübte den ansonsten positiven Eindruck des Essens erheblich."

"When my Australian friend told me about this place and let me try one of her potato chips it was clear to me that I had to go back before I leave Jena. And I wasn’t disappointed! I chose the sweet potato fries and these...were one of the best I have had. There was also a number of options of differently flavoured mayonnaise and we couldn’t agree on one so ordered the avocado and the parmesan with rosemary mayonnaise, both were absolutely delicious. Highly recommend this place! The staff were very friendly too"

"Wie schon öfters erwähnt, wenn man dem Studentenalter entwachsen ist, dann ist es es gar nicht so leicht etwas vom Jenaer Nachtleben zu haben. eine Ausnahme ist die Weintanne. Das Essen habe ich mich ja schon einmal lobend erwähnt. Dieses Mal möchte ich etwas Positives über die Bar der Weintanne los werden. Was als ersten auffällt ist das sehr hilfsbereite und geschulte Personal und dass im Hintergrund Barjazz läuft. Gute Musikauswahl, so wie ich es mag. Dann gibt es eine sehr große Auswahl an Getränken. Schade nur, dass man immer nur wenige probieren kann. Von den Klassikern hatten wird dann einen Mojito probiert. Ergebnis sehr gut und einer der besten Mojito die wir je hatten, sowohl vom Geschmack als auch wie er serviert wurden. Haben dann noch einen Peter Special probiert, der eine sehr gute Mischung aus Gin, Angostura, Limette und Tonic ist, war eine echtes Highlight. Nicht ganz so begeistert war ich vom Blackfoot Tonic, der aus Gin, Grappa, Tonic und Limette besteht. Die Mischung aus Gin und Grappa klingt interessant, hat mich aber dann doch nicht ganz überzeugt. Aber es gibt ja noch viele andere Drinks auf der Karte, und wir nehmen die Herausforderung an uns da durchzukosten. Ums zusammenzufassen, ausgezeichnete Drinks, angenehme Atmosphäre, nettes Personal, da passt einfach alles."

"The food is decent here with the adana kebab being enjoyable along with the provided side dish. A friend tried the minced meat with Aubergine starter which also seemed to be a value for money dish considering the amount provided. However the diced lamb dish was a bit tough to chew and seemed less palatable than the other dishes. Overall the ambience of the place is nice. The portion sizes could be slightly improved for some of the dishes though."

"really good great atmosphere and very respectful service. eating is large, independent of the origin (Greek, Italian, German). the environment is beautiful both inside and outside. outside has much shadow over the tables when its hot day. child's playground is ok. could be a bit bigger and most tables have no direct look at the opposite, sad. but it is well sealed from the environment so that the children are safe in front of roads ect (not that the opposite is anyway dangerous). I love the Greek food they do."

"Wir kannten dieses kleine vietnamesische Restaurant noch nicht und haben relativ spontan telefonisch für 2 Personen einen Tisch reserviert, was an einem Samstag Abend definitiv zu empfehlen ist! Wir wurden im Innenhof platziert an einem relativ kleinen Tisch, aber das Restaurant war auch bereits voll und deswegen waren wir mit unserem Platz ganz zufrieden. Nach kurzer Zeit kam bereits unsere Bedienung, nahm die Bestellung auf und verschwand wieder. Die Wartezeit an diesem Samstag war lang, das Restaurant war eben wirklich voll und alle Angestellten hatten mächtig zutun. Den Berry Lover als Getränk kann ich sehr empfehlen für einen warmen Sommerabend, er war auch sehr gut angerichtet. Fast zeitgleich mit unserer Bestellung kamen die Vorspeisen (Nr.2 12) beide sehr appetitlich angerichtet und super lecker! Auf unseren Hauptgang mussten wir dann ca noch 15min warten, diese Zeit vergeht aber beim unterhalten sehr schnell. Auch die Hauptgänge waren sehr schön angerichtet, jedoch würde mein Mann sein Gericht (N.23) nicht nochmal bestellen (etwas zu wenig gewürzt) und er hatte sich einfach mehr erwartet. Ich war dagegen mit meinem Gericht sehr zufrieden (N.51) "

"I really liked it! Friendly staff, quick service. The feed is fast, despite the full landing. Food: miso soup and udon rich, tasty (in Ukrainian), I really liked the shrimp. A little lower for the atmosphere there was not enough coziness. Separately, I would like to note the very good tableware and serving of dishes. It was so delicious that I had to eat it all."

"Well decorated restaurant. It's tasty but the price is a bit in the higher segment for burgers, fries etc. I find the portion sizes for the side dishes to be too small for the price. Regarding the service: Unfortunately, my drink was forgotten on several visits. Unfortunately my steak was rare. I ordered medium/well. Although it was put back on the grill afterwards, I had to wait a long time for my steak. Unfortunately the creme brulée was below average."
