"This was booked for me by friends who knew how much I wanted to visit. Seven of us went and had a most amazing evening. The location is stunning, the food was divine and the service perfect. Some of us dressed up, some wore jeans and both dress codes were appropriate. We ate outside in perfect weather, but inside was so lovely too. Lots of interesting photos to look at. We had a beetroot two ways starter that had so many elements and was a pretty plate of food, so colourful and it tasted delicious. Prior to that we had an amuse bouche, but I was so engrossed in taking in my surroundings that I have no idea what it was (honest though ). It tasted lovely and had a grainy crunch to it, yum). For mains it was duck two ways, confit leg and roast breast. Both cooked to perfection and served with a red berry drizzle. The sweet potato dauphinois was deliciously different and the green beans presented in a tube made out of courgette. It was plenty for me but I did hear someone say that they thought it a little small in portion. The cheese selection was well thought out with a creamy Camembert type, a blue and a hard white probably Comte, accompanied with a berry jam.Creme brûlée to finish which was so crisp and creamy, probably the best I have eaten - and I have had a good many as it is my favourite desert. I had more that enough to eat and the quality was superb. The relaxed atmosphere was greatly helped by Alice (co-owner) who introduced all dishes with gusto and passion. We chose carafes of white and red wine which went beautifully with the food and was very reasonable. There was no rush as the table is yours for the evening and we enjoyed a leasurely stroll around the informal garden and pool area. We say lots of small places to eat in shade and shelter which would be lovely for the gite guests in the day. A much anticipated visit which more than met my expectations. I wish it was closer as I would be a regular visitor and want to try the barbecue and music Mondays about which everyone raves. Next time I will stay overnight to max out on the experience. Fabulous place, food and people. Cannot fault it. Approx 35€ each which was great value for what we had. Jo the co-owner and chef came out to mingle after everyone had eaten and it was lovely to see the person who creates the food. All staff were attentive without being in your face and this is a very happy team. Amazing."

Great selection of bbq food and salad. The wine included in the evening deal was kept flowing. The restaurant is in a fantastic setting, with lovely views across the countryside. Enjoyed the entertainment, catering for a variety of mudical tastes. Would highly recommend and will be visiting again.

we booked a 3 night stay and ate dinners and Sunday lunch in the unique A Table restaurant. It's so nice to stay in such a rural location and to also have a top class restaurant on site. The food is exceptional. Jo is an amazing and imaginative chef. One particular culinary highlight was a French version of bread and butter pudding which had a caramel sauce and a light custard. It was delicious. The house wine is also very good and reasonably priced. Service from Alice and the team is friendly and relaxed. Highly recommended.

We found this wonderful restaurant whilst on holiday in Cherval. We took our four children to the Monday evening buffet style BBQ in the gardens, which had live music and loads of different types of salads and meats. We went back for a romantic evening meal (without the children!) of five absolutely delicious courses. The veggie option was truly inspired! I wish I'd had a chance to go back and try the vegan option too. The staff were friendly and attentive. The location is wonderful. Absolutely one of the best places we've ever eaten.

Wow what an amazing experience. We visited last night to celebrate a friend's birthday and had the most amazing meal. Every course was simply stunning - we started off with Thai soup served in cute little teacups, followed by a starter of pork pie and pickles, then a scallop gratin, a main of guinea fowl, cheese course and then peach melba dessert. It was refreshing to go out for a meal and try things that perhaps you wouldn't ordinarily choose from a menu or that you wouldn't have at home. We were told that as it had been an unusually wet and damp week, Jo the chef had wanted to prepare something "comforting". Well we certainly all left very comforted - mission accomplished. Well done Jo, A...
